About the author

Mike Richardson is an American publisher, writer, and Emmy-winning producer. In 1986, he founded Dark Horse Comics, an award-winning international publishing house located in Milwaukie, Oregon. Richardson is also the founder and President of the Things From Another World retail chain and president of Dark Horse Entertainment, which has developed and produced numerous projects for film and television based on Dark Horse properties or licensed properties.
In addition, he has written numerous graphic novels and comics series, including The Secret, Living with the Dead, and Cut as well as co-authoring two non-fiction books: Comics Between the Panels and Blast Off!.

So this is a bunch of Aliens comics from Dark Horse in the early 90s thrown together in a bigger package. Some of them are very much out of continuity with films taking place after Aliens but who cares. I'd rather have that than the current stunted Disney Star Wars content.

Lumping all of the Dark Horse Insider and Dark Horse Presents stuff together. It's not very good. The Dark Horse Insider transfers are terrible and the art is blurry. Why even bother?

I want to give this a 5 just because it was so cool to have Alien comics when they first came out with Dark Horse. The only problem is not all the early stuff was good. In fact, as I revisited them in this collection, I found that most of the stories collected in this one are at best fine.

I love the cover and some of the interior art (Kelley Jones and Simon Bizley being the best). The stories are all over the place, which was always the problem with Dark Horse.

Must have for collectors, but you can skip it, especially if you can get the Hive story in it's own collection.

Collection of graphic novels around the Aliens, for most the humans kick the aliens butts, but in Newt, and Tribes (a short story) the aliens are back to their terrifying unstoppable selves. This is especially true in Tribes which is an alien killing Marine unit that runs into greed and trouble.
