Sometimes good fortune brings along romance... and danger.
After the sudden death of Mrs. York, Abby inherits a great deal of money and Ivy, her employee, receives the woman's house. This good fortune creates suspicion when the authorities determine Mrs. York was murdered. Ivy discovers several diaries in her new house, penned by Mrs. York, which expose secrets in the old woman's past. Will the diaries vindicate Abby and Ivy, or make matters worse?
The ladies at the salon welcome a nail tech named Poppy, whose personality and wild clothing choices suit her name. But when something changes in Poppy's attitude, Abby must find the answer in order to bring peace back to her salon.

Cancer, Kidnapping and Love
I love the way Janie Owens brings her characters to life.
Each character blends with the others and the story. Abby, Ivy, and Sonia are having success at the salon so Abby decides to ad a nail tech to give her customers an extra service if they desire.
Poppy arrives and is a stark, colorful contrast to the ladies. When she becomes nasty Abby tries to find out what is bothering her but is not ready for the answer.
A beloved customer, Mrs. York passes away unexpectedly and both Abby and Ivy are surprised beneficiaries of her will. But as expected things take a turn when both become suspects in her murder. Abby finally finds her prince charming after a few bumps in the road.
What is especially a bonus to the book is the epiloge.
I must admit though, book 3 is still my favorite, so far.

Enjoyable read
Enjoyable storyline with likable characters and without explicit scenes of intimate moments. Can't wait to read what is next in the collection!
