Good background info! Nothing on the monuments at Pola though which is a shame :(

The definitive book on the ancient Dalmatian history most likely, but largely because I can't find any other. Even though I was hoping to learn more about the post-Diocletian period than Wilkes provided, I can't say the book was a disappointment. It's a stellar work of academic breadth and vigour, and as such it's not the breeziest of reads.
