Debbi Rawlins currently lives with her husband in Las Vegas, Nevada. A native of Hawaii, she married on Maui and has since lived in Cincinnati, Chicago, Tulsa, Houston, Detroit, and Durham, North Carolina during the past twenty years.

Now that she's had enough of the gypsy life, it'll take a crane, a bulldozer, and a forklift to get her out of her new home. Not that her friends would let her leave Las Vegas even if she wanted to. Debbi's home has become a retreat for writers from both coasts and her guest rooms are rarely empty.

Madison Tate is an up and coming freelance celebrity photographer. She’s after a coveted permanent position and security (as well as fame and money) by securing the sexiest man cover photo for Today’s Man magazine by photographing the elusive Jack Logan. As a morning show anchor, he’s learned to keep himself private, battling the fame of celebrity and yearning for the rush of adrenaline from his field assignments. Madison finally gets him to agree to the shoot, but he’s not exactly thrilled about it. There’s a barrier that keeps his photos less than stellar, but there’s also an attraction between them, and when Jack focuses on that attraction, they get significantly better. Madison honestly doesn’t believe she’s worthy of Jack’s attention and Jack is charmed by her combination of innocence and ambition and the fact that he feels he can trust her. But will her ambition prevent her from sticking it out with him when he decides to return to his former life as a traveling field journalist?

This felt kind of average for me. I found myself kind of annoyed with Madison in the beginning - partly because it felt like she saw Jack as a means to an end and also partly because she seemed to blame him for the poor turnout of the photos because he didn’t have his heart in it. I couldn’t seem to fault him for that when he’d been clear about it from the beginning and she kept insisting...seeing him as her ticket to fame and success. But the characters individually were likeable in personality. I really connected to Jack, who liked his solitude and privacy. However, it did feel like it took forever for them to start getting to know each other as well as the reader comes to know them. Jack kept up his public persona and they didn’t really talk about anything real initially, as they kept shutting down conversation they didn’t want to talk about. It wasn’t until they actually had sex that things started feeling like friendship or a relationship between them, instead of just professional. It was easy to see what Jack saw in Madison, but Jack remained such a mystery that it felt like Madison was just drawn in by his sex-appeal. By the 60% mark, this relationship was more believable and very sexy. I liked that the tension became one of whether they could work out him leaving and her wanting her secure job. Then the ending felt kind of abrupt and I would have liked it to be drawn out a bit more. Also, would have liked to see them actually admit their feelings to one another - no “I love you” in this one.

Emotionally charged and sexy read
4 stars

Madison Tate is a struggling photographer who finally has a shot of the big time - a sexy photo shoot at the divine Hush Hotel with Jack Logan - one of the hottest reporters on the planet! If all goes to plan then Madison will score a lucrative magazine cover and she will finally make the big time.

Jack Logan is only doing this photo shoot because his arm was twisted and he has no problems letting Madison know it. But then she suggests they do a shot - shirts optional - and suddenly Jack realises that maybe the photo shoot in one of the sexiest hotels isn't such a bad thing after all.

Another in Blaze's Do Not Disturb series - this book focuses less on the hotel than some of the others despite the time the characters spend there. But that's not necessarily a bad thing as the romance is key to this story.

The story itself is more emotional then many other Blaze novels and both Jack and Madison have quite a lot of discussion and inner dialogue about their respective situations. Again, this is not a bad thing but it did make it seem somehow different than the other novels of the series - not so light.

Both Jack and Madison are very interesting, well-written characters. I liked that Madison was not classically beautiful but it neither affected or bothered her. Jack was a wonderful hero and did just enough brooding to make him irresistible to me! Together the pair worked well and the story was nicely sexy if maybe not scorching hot.

Each book in the Do Not Disturb series stands entirely on its own with only the hotel linking the stories however this still makes a very good addition to the series. If you're looking for a short, sexy, page-turning read with a good pinch of happily ever after then you should give this book a try. Enjoyable.

Madison is a photographer on her way up. And to get to the top she needs to snag some steamy photos of New York's sexiest newscaster, Jack London.

Jack London made his name big in news covering some of the world's top stories as they happened. It doesn't hurt that he's drop dead gorgeous. Now he's on the top rated morning show. But something is missing and it's not money.

Madison wants his picture. He doesn't want to be seen as just a sexy fluff newscaster.

I'm a sucker for a girl who doesn't think she's good enough....and a guy who sees who she really is. Jack and Madison were perfect for this. And so adorable! Such great chemistry....and interesting issues to be dealt with. Thoroughly enjoyed it!
