This was the beginning to another heartbreaking beautiful love story nobody does heartache quite like Siobhan Davis anytime I read one of her stories I know I’m in for an emotional ride and this book was no different! The angst the heartache the sadness the pain the emotions I was all over the place and that ending!!! I’m anxiously waiting for the second book in this duet , this author proves yet again why she’s one of my favorites! The writing is engrossing with an addictive story line and riveting characters I can’t get enough! Definitely a must read!

Siobhan is that MUST read, one click author for me. The one who makes me feel too much. She never fail to transport me into another world. An emotional world where reality disappears & I’m consumed & invested in her characters.

Say you’re mine is an emotionally brilliant story about finding your first love, a love that is all consuming.
A love that you never forget, the other forever holds a piece of your heart !!

Stevie is strong, independent & focused on school, she never intended to fall in love until she met Garrick. He’s determined from their very first meeting to break down the wall she’s built around her heart.
Stevie & Garrick are the DEFINITION OF PASSION. they were so hot and so meant to be.
The electricity crackles . Nothing could stop the connection that was so strong, it sent their world into chaos. They both fall hard & fast

I'm not under selling this book when I tell you it has every single thing that will have you crying buckets when it ends, wondering how you managed in your life before you got your hands on this masterpiece.

I am obsessed with this story, it’s deeply emotive, thought provoking and all-consuming. My heart broke for Stevie & Garrick .

If you are looking for an absolute emotional rollercoaster, Say You're Mine by Siobhan Davis is perfect for you. This story will bring you to edge over and over again. It swings from sweet and swoony to devastating heartbreaking to sinfully sexy to deeply heartwarming.

This is book one of a duet and ends in a cliffhanger.Stevie was relentlessly pursued by Garrick when they were both in college. Garrick is the sweetest charmer. He fell first and he made it very clear that Stevie is THE ONE for him. Stevie is the commitment phobic one in the dynamics but Garrick broke down her walls. It was just so adorable and cozy with generous dose of spice. And then the story changes direction after that fateful accident..

Stevie is a very strong character. She has definite goals in life and she wants to achieve them. She is hard working and sassy and stubborn..sometimes a bit too stubborn. Garrick is all about easy charm and dazzling swoony personality. He is really a dream man. From the day they met, he was instantly obsessed with her and though Stevie tried to keep him at a distance, he was persistent. He was really the best boyfriend. Protective. Attentive. Caring. But many times they were not on the same page. Stevie did fall in love with him but she still had her reservation and doubts. And then there was this constant tension of Garrick wanting to take their relationship to the next level and Stevie trying to put a brake. And then the shocking accident happened. And we leave Stevie in a completely broken mess of guilt and grief. The next book is going to be a hard one.

I don’t know how to start this review without spoiling and also because my emotions were all over the place. It started showing a friendship slowly very slowly growing that turns turn into more and then everything just shatters. You get a very good background on the characters and how they made it to where they are. It’s so many emotions wrapped in one that you will literally read this book with your hand over your chest because of the rollercoaster rides. You don’t know if to be happy sad or upset but it’s so worth the ride. The ending was sort of expect even though it pulls at your heartstrings but it was the right thing. The epilogue just makes everything come in full circle and you’ll be happy with the outcome.

Stevie Colson is one of the strongest FMCs I’ve ever read about. She loved so hard. I loved Garrick despite some of his controlling ways. It’s just how he shows his feelings toward the people he cares about. What a crazy, emotional, rollercoaster ride this one was! The chemistry between all the characters was out of this world. It was a heartbreaking love story with plenty of tears shed and left you clinging to the edge of your seat praying for a better outcome!

Say you’re mine (The one I want duet book 1)
By: Siobhan Davis

📚💕⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕📚

Gives the best fills

Oh my book hangover! In this heartbreaking book the story is what I’d call a true love triangle with pain, want and often very confused love but love you might not doubt but I was still feeling angst along the way. You’ll find yourself not sure who needs your empathy and understanding more. But of course Siobhan pulled it off anyway because that’s her superpower! The authors ability to have separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.

Authors Blurb: We thought we were forever, but fate had other plans…

I never intended to fall in love.

This girl had goals and guys were an unwelcome distraction.

Until I met Garrick, my sophomore year of college, and he blasted through the walls I kept around my heart, tearing them down.

He knew what he wanted, and he wanted me.

Falling hard and fast, I experienced the rollercoaster highs and lows of first love.

Until life threw us a curveball, and everything flipped overnight.

Stuck in a limbo state, I was falling apart while trying to be strong for my boyfriend.

Then he entered my life. The hot, slightly older guy who looked like a cross between a tatted biker and a billionaire businessman.

Beck understood me, and our situation, in a way no one else could.

As a friend, he held me together and helped to piece back the shredded fragments of my heart.

I didn’t mean to fall in love with him—it just happened.

No one understands, least of all me.

Now my heart is split in two, and I don’t know what to do.

Is my first love my one true love? Or do I belong with the man who brought me to life?

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written with multiple POV’s one of my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know you’re 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

The bonus content was so much fun!

I was gifted an ARC from the author for an honest review.

I was swept up in an unexpected journey of love, challenges, and resilience. The story captures the essence of first love's unpredictability through its protagonists' evolving relationship. Meeting Garrick, the protagonist's life takes a dramatic turn, showcasing the power of love to break down barriers. Like the emotional rollercoaster, the story kept me engrossed with its blend of romance, struggle, and personal growth. Despite some clichés, the vivid storytelling, relatable characters, and the cliffhanger ending left me eagerly awaiting the next installment. This book is perfect for anyone who enjoys themes of love's unpredictability and enduring strength, making it a memorable read.

OMG this book is one massive emotional angsty rollercoaster. My heart is breaking allover again. This book will have you gripped from the start and wanting to hold your loved ones close. Remember plenty of chocolate and wine and keep the tissues near. I loved the extra content and I can't wait to read the next instalment in this phenomenal angsty duet. Five huge stars that I would definitely recommend.

First loves

I don’t know how she does it, but Siobhan Davis has, once again, written a gripping and emotional story.

Stevie has her life figured out, and has no time for love, but Garrick breaks down all her barriers. Then life throws them a tragic curveball, and Stevie is wrought with guilt.

Can’t wait for the next book in this duet to find out how Stevie gets through her guilt and grief.

Say You’re Mine is Siobhan Davis’s latest masterpiece and it’s only the first half of a duet! I am in awe of her writing. Her stories are always full of angst, passion, love, twists, love, and suspense. The characters all have their unique qualities and never the same. It’s truly amazing. I don’t want to spoil the story so I want get into it but I will say it’s one hell of a roller coaster ride. I felt I was right there with Stevie. Falling in love. There for the heartaches and joys. The ups and downs. The twists and turns. Stevie is truly one of the strongest heroines I have read. Of course she doesn’t believe it but to me, it’s true.

*I read this book originally this duet when it was one book so I am here for the bonus content. I loved it. Such fun and sexy times.

Gar is everything a girl can dream of. Loves you with all his heart, spoils you senseless, can sing & play guitar, is tall & muscular. I mean what is not to love? Then we meet our girl miss Stevie. Independent and knows what she wants. Has plans and goals set. Not wanting anyone to interrupt or change what she has in place. Will a night at the bar with a hottie singing some songs change the fate of these two.? Love, spice and everything nice when it comes to these two. BUT as always have some tissues ready & a cliffhanger waiting because we got to pick up book 2 see where these two take us.

Siobhan Davis is in my opinion, the Queen of angst-filled, heartbreak reads and Say You’re Mine is no different - make sure you have that box of tissues to hand as you’re gonna need them!

The rollercoaster Siobhan sent me on was a whirlwind of feelings for these characters.

Stevie is an amazing character and one who had me running amok with conflicting feelings towards her at parts, but the fact she had heartbreaking decisions to make, knowing someone will be hurt no matter what choice she makes, made it all the harder.

I’m so looking forward to Say It’s Forever

This is undoubtedly a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read and one that you won’t forget easily - Siobhan I salute you!

Omg where do I start.. Siobhan is just one that pulls all the emotions out . Stevie and Garrick at first I did not like the FMC Stevie, but as time went my heart hurt for her. She showed Garrick love and loyalty, when I know I would have personally walked away after the way she was treated by Ivy, his mom. No one should have to put up with that. My heart hurt for both of them at times. Gar was so patient n understanding with Stevie throughout the book. i love how the characters grew and evolved as time progressed. This was such an amazing book by Siobhan that by the end my emotions were all over the place. This is book 1 of the duet and does end on a cliff hanger.

Stevie grew up without knowing her dad, but she had her mom, and she is super close to her Nana. With her life goals set she is in college and not trying to be distracted.

Garrick has money, but he doesn’t flaunt it. It took him a little while to break down Stevie’s defenses: “Every interaction with you only heightens my interest, Stevie. You’re funny, hardworking, intelligent, charismatic, and stunningly beautiful. If you want me to go away, stop being so captivating.”

Garrick loves with his entire heart and I fell for him before Stevie did 🤣🤣. This is more of a slow burn book that shows the real side of love and how it’s not always perfect.

Oh, the angst! Stevie and Garrick bring so much of the angst as they work to figure out their relationship in the first part of The One I Want Duet.

I also just absolutely loved the new bonus content. It adds just that extra little bit to the story.

This duet is an emotional and beautiful ride! It is a beautiful story of love, tragedy, hope, and trying to do the right thing along the way. The author has absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one.

Wow! I cried & cried & cried again. This book was a full on angst fest from the beginning til the end. This author always manages to bring me to my knees. In the end, Stevie deserved the win. She truly deserved her soulmate. He brought her to life.

I loved all of these characters. You need alcohol, chocolate, and tissues. This was a great story, and I don’t want to say goodbye to these characters!

Stevie is an independent girl, when she meets Garrick she wants nothing to do with him. Garrick wants a relationship from the start but Stevie will only accept a friendship. As things grow between them, Stevie still wants her independence and is not sure how a relationship should be. She has her future all planned out and will not let anyone make her change it.
This story is filled with angst, heartache, heartbreak, so many twists and turns, and guilt that will break your heart.
This story is one of this author's best in my opinion and when you read it be sure to have plenty of Kleenex handy because you will need them. So enjoy the angst, you will not be disappointed.

I may be in the minority here but I almost didn’t finish this book. I felt like the characters lacked depth maybe? Or maybe it was just chemistry between the two main characters, Garrick and Stevie. I loved Garrick but he felt too perfect, almost fake. At first I didn’t love how Stevie treated him because he was so sweet to her but then I understood. It almost felt like he was holding her down without actually controlling her. She said she wasn’t ready but he kept pushing her, even when he said he wouldn’t. She’s been working toward things her whole life. Her independence was important and I think to an extent if she didn’t know what her future held it was going to be tied to Garrick because of his grand gestures. I almost feel like she didn’t love him like she should but not without trying. I’m not sure Garrick truly loved her like he said he did. It didn’t get good until almost the end… so now I’m hooked for the next book.

This was God awful. Terrible writing and two insufferable main characters. I feel like I read a different book compared to everyone else given the high ratings. Could not even make it to the half way mark and then just read a line on every page and still managed to get the gist of the story. Garrick is rich, over bearing and really quite controlling and was just putting way too much pressure on Stevie. Not sure how ppl thought he was a perfect book boyfriend bc I wanted to punch him. And the whole making the first time they had sex “perfect” made me want to 🤮. And then there’s Stevie. She had zero good reasons to actually refuse him - the idea that romance will deter you from your goals is so so ridiculous- find a partner who supports you! The whole book was really cheesy in a not good way. I do not get the ratings at all. And clearly this is a prolific writer but I won’t be reading more.

I LOVED this book, and I couldn't put it down 😎

Let me start with a quote from the prologue:
“I will always love you,” he says as we stare at one another through blurry eyes. “It’s because I love you I am letting you go. We need to let what we had stay in the past and move forward along different paths. We’re very different people now.”

The love between Stevie and Garrick is so intense. I can't put it in just a few words. I just sit here and cry about this incredible love 😭 Everyone should find such love. I fully understand why Garrick is so persistent. I'm not sure if I ever read about a more persistent MMC than him. Yes, I also understand why Stevie wants to be independent. Her mom has two jobs so she can get to college. And she wants to finish it as soon as possible. It's not the extreme poor girl x rich boy thing. Yes, Garrick's dad is wealthy, but Garrick never shows his wealth. He isn't like his mother (I HATED her 🤬). He's like his dad, family first. He would never cut Stevie's independence. He only wants to support her, 1000%.

There is so much love in this story. Stevie's mom and nana are so cute and funny. Oh yes, especially her nana, you might know how much I love older people in books 😁 She and Stevie's best friend, Hadley, are a perfect fit 🤣 OK, Hadley is worse than Nana. This girl, unbelievable 🙈 Especially when it comes to 🌽 😉 Hadley definitely has no filter 🤣

This book ends on a cliffhanger, and yes, it's another love triangle 😁 No surprise. Siobhan loves to write them, and she knows how to write them 😍 And I'm very excited about this part in book 2. And how another man can top Garrick 😎

This is the most difficult review I've ever written.
I've rewritten it multiple times, and all in all, it took me over 5 hours!!! FIVE!!! and multiple versions/re-writing. I've never sat on one that long.

“You call it coincidence.
I'm calling it fate."

Reading just the prologue and I know she will do it again. Siobhan knows how to break my heart!

Stevie is persistent that she won’t date, she just wants to focus on college, on her jobs and the future plans she has for herself. Until she meets Garrick. Garrick is enamored with her from the very moment he lays eyes on her. His consistent resolve to break down Stevie’s defenses, he is so sweet and attentive. I don’t know how Stevie had the strength to withstand Garrick for so long. It speaks of her character, the strength and resolve behind her reasoning. The women in her life are just as strong and beautiful. Her family and friend dynamic is amazing.

There is only one word for Garrick: intense! Wow what a guy. His storyline is just as intense. His serenade for Stevie on her birthday will make you swoon. And even when his mom makes it obvious that she thinks Stevie is not the girl for her son, he never fails to stand up for Stevie and stands by her side. The way Stevie deals with his mother at thanksgiving, EPIC! Loved it!!

Garrick becomes a bit obsessive; he gets a bit pushy without meaning to towards the end. He just loves her so much and has a hard time grasping that she is a bit apprehensive about the intensity of their relationship.

"I don't want to scare you, Stevie, but I already know you're my forever." His fingers sweep over my cheeks while I internally battle euphoria and panic. "The memories we're making now will stay with us for a lifetime." His lips brush against mine. "I only ever want to give you the most magical memories, and it starts from the very beginning."

I love how Garrick is able to get inside Stevie’s heart with nothing but good intensions. He does everything right; his only failure is not realizing Stevie gets uncomfortable from time to time. But the passion between them is scorching hot!

What a cliffhanger do we get to end on! I just know that part two will be just as an emotional rollercoaster as this one!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for my honest review.

OH MY GOD!!!! This book was so freaking good!!! I don't even know where to start cause this book takes you on an adventure for sure!! I absolutely love Garrick but he is a little over the top when it comes to showing her how he cares about her and when he tries to do nice things for her. He is really a sweet guy with a good heart. He comes from interesting parents. His mom is a socialite who's all about how she looks, who's dating who and pawning her son off women she deems worthy and from a good family. She is a horrible person. His dad and stepmom are amazing!!
Onto to Stevie, ugh she's quite annoying at times throughout this book. She comes from a different way of life and has been hurt by guys before. She doesn't trust easily and is always out to see the bad when it comes to relationship. Garrick has to really show her how good it can be with him before some of her walls come down. I'm not even gonna lie and say Garrick could do so much better then Stevie. I didn't understand her appeal to be honest. She was selfish at times but loving too. Does that make sense?
This book will keep you on the edge of your toes and have you reading until the very end!! Onto the next book to see if Stevie gets better, Garrick is still amazing and how all this plays out

SD is a mastermind at making you feel all the things while leaving you craving even more.

She somehow convinces you with her writing to sit there and allow her to make you feel for the characters, fall in love, have your heart stomped on, and yet want to read on.

This book, book 1 in a duet, is no exception. I did not read this when it was a standalone so can’t compare to what it was, but this book left me wanting to read on to book 2 but also needing to take a moment to allow myself to decompress from it all.

I will admit, I did not like Stevie all that much. Even as someone who said “fuck, I’m in love” when I realized I’d fallen in love with someone (someone I could have and was in a relationship with) I couldn’t understand her absolute stubbornness against love/exploring her feelings. While I didn’t agree with her choices Garrick is the sweetheart I think most women dream of finding. That man who knows what he wants and is going to fight for her and wants to show her the world. Garrick simply made the story for me.

This novel was surprising in that it is a gradual buildup to the normal SD heat. We get that spiciness that we all know and sweat over, but it comes further in than I remember happening in a SD book. But oh was it swoon-worthy. That first time is every romantic’s fantasy.

A great intro read to SD’s stuff, and a easy classic for already established fans. Get ready for laughs, panting, and tears.

There are a few things I've learnt to count on with Siobhan Davis' books: 1) If it seems too good to be true, it usually is (only if it happens at the beginning of a story, because her HEA are solid gold!). Garrick seems like the perfect boyfriend, and you have to wonder why Stevie can't just go with the (his) flow. Then again, how perfect is a boyfriend whose obsessive objectives make it impossible to understand his girlfriend's drawbacks? This whole book made me root for Garrick and Stevie because the soulmate potential was so high. I was biting my lip at every push and pull, then cheering when it was certain they were meant for each other, while sometimes trying to figure out how they'd surpass life's obstacles to reach the winnng touchdown. My emotions were running 100 mph when the cliffhanger happened and I just came to a crashing halt with a slew of tears. And that leads me to the other things I can count on with Siobhan's books: 2) Expect the unexpected. OMG! I couldn't get to the next book soon enough! Seriously, I almost had a heart attack. I'm now counting on Ms. Siobhan "Angst Queen" Davis for my last expectations: 3) It gets worse before it gets better (please, please, please let it get better), and 4) There's a HEA somehow, even when everything points otherwise.

I was offered a complementary copy of this book.

This is one big book but it’s packed with love, angst and the promise of forever!

This romance is the twisted tale of finding love until fate decides to step in and turn the world of Stevie on its head. Can a person love two people equally? Is there only one great love? Those are the questions that Davis explores in this beautiful epic book romance!

I found myself feeling as if I was Stevie as she figured out what she wanted in life and what forever meant! Garrick and Beck were both equally great men! Both held Stevie’s heart in a different way and the fight for love was a battle unlike any other! I will not spoil the story but I will say that you need to be ready for a very emotionally gripping romance!

« 𝘐𝘵’𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘐’𝘮 𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘨𝘰 »

This book is Siobhan’s signature.. If I didn’t know she was the author , I would have guessed it easily.. because of all the life she puts in her books, she puts all her heart in her characters and story .. so you don’t have another choice but to bleed with them.

what can I say ? It’s beautiful, emotional, painful, full of hearts, love, guilt , so much guilt …
I knew it was a love-triangle , and I know Siobhan, so I tried super hard not to fall for these two amazing guys.. but I failed , of course I failed … but , I had my preference, and Siobhan didn’t let me down ..

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘧𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘶𝘴. 𝘚𝘰, 𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘶𝘦𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨.

It wasn’t her most painful book to read in my opinion , yes it was super emotional, Stevie was amazing, her choices she needed to make were impossible… but even if it was hard , Siobhan could have cut us way more deeply than that , and to be honest after some reviews I was expecting something worse… (or maybe I read too many of her books and I’m used to it ..)

“𝘎𝘰𝘴𝘩, 𝘚𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦, 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘪𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭. 𝘚𝘰 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭.”

if you are scared to read it because of the emotional nature of it , yes it’s painful to read sometimes, but if you are familiar with her works, it was, from my point of view, easily manageable.. so if you want a beautiful love story go for it.

If you have read any of Siobhan Davis' books over the past few years, you will be well acquainted with the fact that she is a queen of angst. And I think Say You're Mine is probably the angstiest one, so far. This tragic, heart breaking, lovely romance is beautifully written, with characters that have such depth, you can't help but get sucked in.

I really liked Stevie. She is fiercely independant, resilient, she makes a plan or a decision and she sticks to it, no matter what. Unfortunately one of these decisions ends in tragedy and her life is changed forever. And good god, do I need a bff like Hadley in my life!!!! Fiercely loyal, protective, she will have your back even when you are in the wrong. I really hope we get Hadley's story because she is everything. The love of Stevie's life, Garrick, is an intense guy. He loves hard and with everything he has and he is a go big or go home kind of person. Swoooon!!!

Something tells me I may need more tissues for part 2 of this incredible story. Can't wait to get into it!!!
