Graduate-level text covers properties of the Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein distributions; the interrelated subjects of fluctuations, thermal noise, and Brownian movement; and the thermodynamics of irreversible processes. 1958 edition.
I despise this book. This is the only textbook I will ever review cause it's such a joke, even for $15. My professor recommended we buy a textbook to follow along and offered two recommendations. Of course I went with the cheaper option to my detriment. I went back and brought the more expensive textbook not even a week later cause it's incomprehensible. Random notation and variables strewn about with unclear explanations behind many proofs.
