Descent into Madness: Crimes Against the Crown

Rate this book
“To what lengths will an individual go to protect their family name?”
It’s 1838, and the Tinleys are searching for a teacher for their children and friends, but Lissa’s progressive idea leads to trouble.
This is a twisted tale of two young women who, through murder and manipulation, ingratiate themselves into the Tinley household.
One seeks revenge, the other salvation while facing a Descent into Madness.
Both are pursued by men in search of the French Blue, a diamond stolen from the French Crown Jewels and once thought to be in the possession of George, Prince of Wales, during the Regency years.
Are the Tinleys and their children at risk, or will the two women’s secrets be exposed before someone pays the ultimate price?

Wendy is an extraordinary author in narrating and building historical fiction. This is the fourth book I have read in her crimes against the Crown series and I’ve always get this deep feeling that I am into a beautiful world filled with mysteries in and characters that really hit close to home. You are so immersed in the story you even feel bad for the villain.
If you are a fan of historical fiction with Twiston and a flare of mystery, then this is the book for you !
