About the author

Candice Poarch

Even as a child Candice Poarch was a dreamer and created scenes in her mind. She quickly fell in love with writing stories centered around families and romance. The quest for love is universal, she says. Being familiar with rural Virginia, she portrays a sense of community and mutual support in her novels, many of which are set in small-town America.

Candice grew up in Stony Creek, Virginia, south of Richmond, but now resides in northern Virginia. She has been married for thirty years and is the mother of three children. A former computer-systems manager, she has now made writing her full-time career.

I was SURPRISINGLY pulled into this CHARMING and quaint town with it's QUIRKY and ENGAGING cast of characters...the romance between Tylan and Clarice is SWEET...and at times funny...the mystery surrounding Elonza's death and his renovated old house is INTRIGUING...and all Miss Clarice's unfortunate mishaps DEFINTIELY keep me turning the pages to see who dunnit...I am looking forward to reading the second installment in the Nottoway series!

Moonshine

The Ghost and the Moonshine is what this should have been called. Clarice had one more time to see the ghost and I was going to be putting this book to the side. Thank God for Tylan. It was definitely a love worth waiting for.
