I'm Amie Nichols, and this is my bio. I live in Iowa with my amazing, supportive husband. He is my rock and my king, and treats me like all woman should be treated. (Like a spoiled Queen) I have two miniature dachshund's that are my babies, and they love to keep me company when I am writing away on my next WIP. I'm about to publish my 6th book, and can hardly believe how my life has changed. I'm called an author, and still can't believe it. I've have met some amazing woman on my journey so far, and have learned so much. (Sometimes the hard way.) I've been like a sponge soaking up all the information I can on how the publishing world works. It's been a rollercoaster ride so far with its ups and its downs. No matter what, I will never regret anything I've done. You can't succeed if you don't try, and if you don't try you won't succeed. One of my favorite quotes "If the dream is big enough the facts don't matter". Some other info about me, I love my family, friends, wine and anything caffeinated. I also love writing HEA. For the same reason I won't watch a movie that I know will make me cry, (with the exception of Steel Magnolias) I will never write a book without a HEA. There might be a few twists and turns, a cliffhanger or two. But ultimately my stories will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. For me, reading is entertainment, a way to escape this crazy insane world. If a book leaves me feeling sad, mad or gut wrenched, it is not for me. There is enough gut-wrenching sadness in this world, I don't need to read about it too. I started writing 3 years ago, and have no plans on stopping. So keep your eye on me because with the help of some amazing people and my wonderful fans, this girl is going to be on the New York Times best selling list someday.
I was giving this book in exchange for an honest review.
Deep Blue Forever is the last in this series so it ties up all of the loose ends and shows us what was happening that we didn't know about. The reader will learn a lot in this book and we get to see the characters grow and come into there own. Amie has come alone way with this series you can see her grow as an author in this series. In the last book Aubrey leaves Ian after that nice little talk with Michelle.(the psycho b#$@h) Aubrey is hurt and doesn't know what to do, so she gos to see the one person that has been there for her through thick and thin. When Ian finds out what Michelle has done he gos nuts. Ian goes to New York in search of Aubrey but she isn't there. When he finds out that she is with Rex I expected a little more anger on his part. I love how Rex kind of gloats when Ian calls to talk to Aubrey. By some miracle Aubrey listens to him and decides to come to New York. At this part I was kind of like come on Aubrey give him hell! Because that's what I would have done, but she don't. We see that Michelle has way more to do with what is going on and just how psycho she really is. I think it is kind of funny that Ian doesn't see all of this stuff I mean my god man she works with you! If I was Aubrey I would have gone off the deep end at who and why this all happening to her. Michelle shows how resourceful she can be when she wants something. Aubrey and Ian have some surprises of their own. ( cant go into details it will give to much away sorry) Ian gets hurt and is in the hospital and is fighting for his life. That is when we see the snakes come out of the wood work to cause trouble. Aubrey is my hero at this point she was ready to throw down with a bitch. Lol And I glad that Amie let her throw a punch. (I could picture it in my mind and I have to say that it was satisfying ) So after a lot of ups, downs, twists and turns Aubrey gets her HEA. I have to take my hat off to Amie, for adding Sexy Rexy's story at the end. I would have felt bad not knowing what happened to him. Rex in his own right has a big part in this series and it wouldn't be right to just leave him hanging in limbo. So for me Deep Blue Forever is the perfect ending to a great story that I love.
Ok I like this story but I have to say there were way too many crazy people involved. 1st you have the crazy step mom and BF, then you have the ex BF drunk Dad, then you have the crazy ex military chick Michelle, then you have the crazy cousins wife's BFF.. How many people can you have obsessed with one couple?
Before I start my review of this book I will say that not 1 person who starts this series will be able to NOT finish it !! The suspense and twists and turns are enough to cause anxiety !! The cliffhanger endings make you drool waiting for the next books !!
Deep Blue Forever picks up where book 2 leaves off...in the midst of mayhem !!
Aubrey has fled to Rex and Ian is clueless at the moment...Michelle has put her plan in place and she is creating turmoil with each breath. When details come to light, Ian once again, will do anything to get to Aubrey, keep her safe and convince her that she is meant to be with him ! Love his determination !!
Happiness is not easy for this couple and very quickly you are thrown into an emotional rollercoaster of events.
Just when you think it could not possibly get any worse in walks Ian's only family and his wife and her best friend.
Aubrey is now fighting for herself , their unborn child and Ian's life. Thankfully she has Rex , Sam and Miry to help her through. I love this gang of friends they are essential in this story.
Will they finally get their happy ending ?? What happens with Rex ?? How about Sam and Miry ??
All great question that I will leave unanswered in the hopes that everyone will read and find out for themselves !!
Aaaaw what a brilliant finale to the Deep Blue series! This is the third and final instalment in the series, and although it's short, it is jam packed with action, suspense and scorching romance. I loved the bonus epilogue at the end with Rex's happy ending. As a side line character he really drew me in, and although Ian is a great leading male, I couldn't help but feel a little saddened when reading the history between Rex and Aubrey that is revealed in the first two books. Don't get me wrong I was definitely rooting for Ian and Aubrey, but a part of me felt regretful that things never worked out between Aubrey and Rex after everything they went through together, so I'm so glad he got his happily ever after. Amie Nichols' writing style is totally gripping and ensures that you cannot put these books down until you have devoured every page. I just adored this series and would definitely recommend it! The only criticism I found with this book, and it wasn't the case with the first two, was I did pick up on a few spelling and grammatical errors but I found that it did not take away from the book in anyway, hence why I gave a full 5 star rating.
Aubrey gets into trouble and the first thing she does is run. She is running again this time though she is running from Ian and back into the arms of Rex. Devastated and heartbroken, Aubrey is so mad at herself for falling for Ian. In her greatest time of need he wasn't there for her, instead he was engrossed in another woman. Aubrey soon fins out that Ian may of not been to blame and that her life could be in danger.
I loved this book. The whole series was great. This book wrapped everything up for you. Any questions you had, they will be answered in this book. The author did a great job at letting you know how all of the characters ended. I loved the dynamic between everyone. It really worked very well. I also love the bonus chapters you get at the end. It really was a perfect ending to a great set of books.
Deep Blue Forever picks right up where Deep Blue Hold leaves off. I am so glad I bought all 3 books at once because this was a series I just had to finish. I fell in love with Aubrey, Ian and sexy Rexy almost instantly in Deep Blue Impact, and I felt that all 3 of the main characters were fairly well-rounded. Aubrey is a smart, sassy and tough young woman, but we're also shown her vulnerable side so she doesn't come off as being one-dimensional like some leading ladies. Ian, well, Ian is just HOT! What I love about Ian's character is that he's very driven in all that he does. His former special forces experience helps him excel in his security business, but don't think that his deep blue eyes and his commanding presence is all there is to Ian. Nope, this man is so much more than that. He has an all consuming love for Aubrey and isn't afraid to shed a few tears for her. Of course he has a couple of dense moments, but hey let's face it, what man doesn't? That leads me to Rex, or Sexy Rexy as we like to call him. He's from Aubrey's past, a less than pleasant past to put it mildly, but the 2 of them have remained steadfast in their love and devotion for one another albeit on a friendship level. I should mention here that it also drives Ian absolutely nuts, but I digress. Rex is a football star. All the ladies love him and he's more than happy to love them all back. At least in the bedroom *wink*. Rex only has room for one woman in his heart, and that is Aubrey, but he's come to respect Aubrey's relationship with Ian, and the fact that all he will ever have with her is the memories of their tragic past and the beautiful friendship that come from it. Will there ever be another woman to turn Rex's head? I'm not telling you. You'll just have to read this series to find out. *sticks tongue out like a 3rd grader* The secondary characters, such as Sam and Miry, are equally likable and I love the way their friendship with Ian and Aubrey plays out as well. Now Michelle, Jim, Tandi, Matt, and Chelsea....well let's just say you'll love hating them.
All in all I thought this was a very well written series. The author does an excellent job of dropping little bread crumbs through out all 3 books that answer some of your questions while leaving you with new ones. Don't worry though, because by the end of this book you WILL have closure. The only thing that will bug you is the fact that it's over :(
Ah, here we are at the final book in the Deep Blue series.
Can I tell you this book will f*ck with your mind? It really will. While it is short, Ms. Nichols added all the right information and kept you on the edge of your seat the entire time.
Can I punch Michelle in the face? That b*tch is nuts!
Ian completely stole my heart from book one and I just wanted him more and more as the books went on. He is absolutely in love with Aubrey and will do anything and everything that he can to protect her!
Aubrey, gosh, I am glad that she is not a mental patient now. Everyone except a short list of people (Ian, Rex, Sam, Miry) are out to get her, for some reason everyone wants her dead or to ruin her life. Everyone has there own reasons for wanting to ruin her life or to kill her, but she is strong and she holds up.
You will love these books and not regret reading them quickly. I do wish they each would have been a bit longer but I am not complaining and still loved them to the end!
This final book in the series was SO intense and had so many twists and turns, I was getting whiplash...but OMG it was so thrilling I could not stop reading until I found how how it would end! Aubrey and Ian once again find reasons to fall apart from each other and are tricked into believing things are not what they seem to be...causing grave misunderstandings that threaten to end their relationship for good. BUT then the unexpected happens...a good event that shocks everyone and gives Ian more of a reason to fight for and protect Aubrey from the many unstable crazies who want to break them up. I found myself getting angry at times, frustrated with all the lies and game playing...but I stuck it out in the hopes we would get an HEA afterall. Pretty good series and it was a fast read perfect for a cozy night in or a beach day.
The best part of this series yet. Aubrey and Ian really have to fight for each other in this one because of all the other crazy people trying to get in between them. Aubrey really shines through with her strength, she is not that broken girl with a traumatic past anymore. I was definitely disappointed with Troy, but am glad that Rex, Sam and Miry all stayed true and loyal to Aubrey and Ian. I also loved that Rex got his own happily ever after.
I received and ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Suspense, Action, Romance and Drama what a great end to a series! Ian has redeemed himself...but I still have love Rex! So happy that Rex found 'the one'. My instincts were correct and my blossom bloomed! And as for crazy psycho Michelle, thank goodness she got exactly what I wanted for her!
Wasn't too sure about this series but I really loved this book. More storyline and still great sex. It definitely had me on my seat wondering what would happen next. I like books to keep me interested in the story and have some hot sex scenes but not be overwhelmed that the story gets lost. Great series...fell in love with all the characters.
The final instalment of this series has been nicely tied up. It wasn't a great masterpiece but very enjoyable nonetheless. I loved the characters and how their relationship developed, it was an instalove story with some twists and turns and the tragedy that had happened to Aubrey was emotional and sad. As with the first two books it was again littered with grammatical errors.
I felt this this novella ran a little long and could have ended a few chapters sooner. But then it wouldn't be a novella but an essay :). Another great read by Amie Nichols!
