Rachel Reynolds isn't running from her past, but she wouldn't mind if it stopped chasing her, either. A senior in high school getting ready to graduate, Rachel is trying to look ahead toward her future, while forgetting the one night two years ago that set events in motion which altered the course of her entire life. Part of the future she's looking for includes falling out of love with her best friend, an act she seems incapable of, especially when it appears he might just love her, too. As Rachel tries to find her footing in a relationship that has baggage before it starts, a nightmare from her past reappears, upsetting the tenuous balance of Rachel's life and threatening the one person she loves most. I am the youngest of three daughters and I think this is the reason I enjoy writing about love so much.

I come from a family of high school sweethearts, save myself (thank God), and I have watched how finding love, the real kind, can make a person stronger. My parents have inspired me every day because they found each other at eighteen, got married at nineteen, and never looked back. Now, 35 years later they are still going strong and it makes me realize that love really does aide us in all things.

I write young and new adult books because I think it's the time period in our lives that is the most difficult and I enjoy love stories because we all need hope. Reading about love gives me hope, so I hope my writings about love do the same for any reader who happens to glance at the pages.

I have a daughter, a Great Dane, and a beautiful husband. I love books, coffee, and my family...and shoes. Just saying.

This book touched me in more ways than one. Very emotional.

UPDATE REVIEW
There are a handful of subjects in fiction that I will not read. Normally, had I seen this book floating around I might not have picked it up, because the sole focus on this book is one of those subjects. But I am so glad I did. The book was hard to read, I'll admit that, but for reasons that are personal and touching.

I don't want to get too personal in this review - especially since I have a stop on the tour - but I feel like I need to, in order for you to get a better grasp on why this book was so touching. My oldest is about to be 11. I am 28. It doesn't take a genius to do the math and figure out I was young when I had him.

Rachel (Flow), the main character, is a single teen mom. It's difficult to call it a "mistake" but after a one night stand, she becomes pregnant and makes the decision to keep the baby. I loved her for it. Not only for that, but because she is such a strong & spunky, loud, funny and mean ass chick. Is she flawless? No. But she owns her life, her mistakes and will fight to protect that and the ones she loves.

What really got to me was how much I saw myself in Rachel. There is so much that she had to go through, and while some may consider her thoughts selfish or might consider her weak, I saw honesty and strength. I saw an amazing person that gave up so much for someone else, someone innocent. And while yes, there is that small part of you that yearns for what was lost, for what could have been, she owned that and made a life for herself with what she had now. She is fierce, loving and a great person.

Another part of the book that was so touching - her family. I was lucky too, to have such a loving, supporting family. It's hard to make decisions that will change your life at 17. And no matter how much you want to, you can't do it all alone. It was beautiful to see just how much her family and friends helped her, loved her and supported her. Not only that, to point out when she needed help, even thought her stubbornness wouldn't allow her to ask.

Now the romance. This relationship is complicated to a T. There were times when I was screaming, "YES!" when Rachel would punch him (she did that often). He was a prick at some points, lashing out because of jealousy or anger. Which is normal, but not excusable. It's obvious where their relationship was headed, but there is so much more to consider here, then just best friends to lovers thing. The fact that Tripp was there from day 1, continued to support Rachel and wanted all of her, including Gracie, just goes to show his true character. He is an amazing guy, strong and loving (softhearted) and I was rooting for them.

I don't know if any of this was based on real life, but I feel like either Kristen has lived part of this or is a counselor. She did an amazing job expressing Rachel, her insecurities and the hardships of being a teen mom. I loved her writing style too. Everyone once in a while, we would get a look into Rachel's past, and how those parts of it really shapes her into who she is and the decisions she has made.

There are many things in the book I didn't mention, on purpose. I feel going in blind to some parts of the book is best. So there. :P

My Peeve -

Nothing. I loved this book to pieces.

Overall -

I absolutely loved this book. It was beautiful, real and so touching. This isn't just about being a teen mom. It's living your life how YOU want it, regardless of what is thrown at you. It's about love and family. Life Interrupted is one of those books that will stay with me for a long time. Highly recommend.

I offered to read and review this book for a blog tour.

This was surprisingly good. I never know what to expect with a new author that I've not come across before. I get butterflies hoping I'm going to like it. Well, I can honestly say, I DID like it.

Its what I would term a YA type book [unless I'm getting old!]

We have a young girl named Rachel. Her Mother teaches 'things' that involve sex, so she's quite a modern Mom, which is good because one terrible night she has sex with a lad who she doesn't even like and it results in a pregnancy. Her Mother was very supportive. Rachel was only very young.

Tripp a boy she grew up with, and somewhere along the line also fell in love with. You know what its like, how can you tell them without spoiling the friendship if the other person doesn't feel the same? Plus, by now, Tripp has a girlfriend, so he obviously doesn't feel the same right? But one night of passion ensues, this mixes a lot of things up for Rachel as Tripp just ups and goes the next day, never for it to be mentioned again.

He's very supportive of Rachel though, including her little daughter Gracie when she was born and as she grew.

The conversations between Rachel and Tripp were heated at times, sad at times, and later on, very moving, emotional which made me warm to Tripp more.

I thought Rachel was stubborn, but as things unraveled about her thoughts and why she felt a certain way I could piece things together more. I understood her behaviour and her reasons for doing something/or not doing.

The Father of her child was a nasty threatening piece of work, later his Mother gets involved in trying to access the child.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED the ending. I cried at what Tripp wrote.

Very moving story.

4.5 STARS - SUCH A HEART WRENCHING AND HEART WARMING STORY :).hehe!

Rachel (a.k.a. Rae & Flow) and her best friend Katy are starting their Senior year in high school, but Rachel's life is anything but easy. A choice she made one night two years ago changes her course forever.

I do not want to give away too much, and since the synopsis doesn't explain Rachel's problem, I will try my hardest not to ruin anything for you :).

This book is so full of emotion. It is written from Rachel's point of view, and it's amazing. This book also shows you the ups and downs of decisions you make as a teenager/young adult that can alter the course of your life in a heartbeat. Good or bad. There are a few moments in this book I had to take a deep breath and gain my composure ;).

Tripp is Rachel's "other" best friend, that she has known and loved since she was a child. I don't think I liked him very much at the beginning. He seemed to be the type of guy that kept you hanging on just enough, so that he always has a "back-up" relationship to fall on. I didn't like him at all. In the beginning....

Rachel's parents are divorced but still civil with each other. Rachel's Mother, sister Stacy, and grandmother are such a great support system. Her dad on the other is not my favorite person. He isn't mentioned much in this book, but when he is my heart aches. He's a man child. There is really nothing more irritating to me than a man who cannot grow up.

When Rachel's past comes to find her again, she thinks she is strong enough to handle everything on her own. It is during this time, when she finds out what true love really is. Who her real friends are, and how deeply her whole family cares for her.

This book was so full of emotion. It made such an impact on me. I haven't been in high school for a VERY long time ;), but I sure felt like I was there while reading this book. Which, is something I never want to feel again. I hated high school when I was in it...hehehe! I guess that means the author did an awesome job of connecting me with the characters, but UGH, high school is something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. hehe. Kidding (sort of). Too many emotions, too much drama.

I want to go on and on and on, but I don't want to ruin anything. The only complaint I had about this book was that the "f" word was used a little too much for my liking, but that is my own PERSONAL issue. This book was fabulous. The author really drew me in and made me love/hate her characters. I cried, I laughed and just wanted to scream. Great writing. Just great writing :)!.

I even had some funny quotes I wanted to share, but alas I cannot for it will ruin the book for you. hehehe!

Content: There is swearing and the "f" word is used quite a bit. There is some sexual content, that was sometimes a little descriptive, but not uncomfortable. (these are all my opinion).

To be honest with you, it took me a while to get into this book.
I started it, but then I got a little bored.
I picked it up again and pushed myself to read it.
It was still enjoyable.
It wasn't the best new adult book I've read so far in this year.
Still it is worth reading. :)
Just a little slow in the beginning.

Her older sister is perfect. Her best friend is dating the perfect girl. Her mother teaches about sexuality. Her father was too inconvenienced to be a dad. Her best friend has major parent issues…as in, they’re never around. It’s her senior year. She has a baby…and a baby daddy that is insane. Hello, therapy!

But this is no MTV or Teen Mom story. It’s real and it’s raw on so many levels. Some of the characters are fucked up, and the dialogue and narration from Rachel are so perfect in this un-perfect world.

Rachel Reynolds is in love with her best friend, and it seems everyone knows it, too. Especially her best friend, Katie, whose parents have essentially abandoned her. She has serious daddy issues, but when it comes to the court she is serious and dedicated. Volleyball is her passion, as it is Rachel’s, and probably the only thing that keeps both of them stable and grounded in their ever-changing lives.

Rachel got pregnant as a sophomore in high school. She is now back at volleyball, but who wants to hand out a full ride scholarship to a girl with baggage and a baby?

But that’s just the surface of things. Let’s talk about the characters.

"Life can be such an asshole. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out and you start feeling confident in who you are and how you’ve chosen to live, something comes around the corner and slaps you in the face, not only changing your viewpoint, but leaving one hell of a mark."

Rachel is the younger sister, a tall and lean Amazon but no fashionista. She has mixed Italian and Cherokee heritage (like me!) and only sees everything she’s done as being the fuck-up of her family. She’s a bit of a mess, though she tries to hold it together. Her sister would have never been in this position. She sees her school counselor once a week. She is in love with Tripp, whom she has known and been best friends with since grade school. There’s just one problem: Tripp rejected her two years ago. He’s with Lovely Lauren. They don’t talk about it. He acts like an ass, she punches him. But she would do anything for Tripp or her best girl friend Katie.

"Oh, yeah, did I mention that I’m known as the resident slut in my town?"

Katie is a hot mess on top of abandonment issues. Every three weeks, she has a new boy toy, and the current one seems like a total biker douche. Dougie. Dougie Fresh, or as his cousin Dick Dean likes to share, Douglass – Douglass as in two s’s, synonymous for Doug is an Ass. And Katie is trying to wrangle Rachel into going out with Dean. Katie seems like a bimbo at times, but she can lay it on thick when she needs to and is protective of those she loves.

"Katie: You’re such a whore.

Rachel: False. I was a whore last year, I’m a teen-mom this year."

Dean is a freshman at the local college, and cousin to Doug, and smoking hot. SA-MOKIN HOTT! After their first botched date – which ends in disaster for Katie and Dougie – Dean and Rachel take things very slow…and then at a snail’s pace when Dean puts two and two together and realizes who Rachel is. He’s a sweet guy, the kind of guy that’s the boy-next-door, always-picked-last kind of guy…except smoking hot, according to Rachel. Oh, and did I mention that he plays rugby? ;)

Tripp is the youngest son of three, and they all hang out at their parents’ shop. Tripp’s parents are like a second set of parents to Rachel, and his mother Georgie Jones – NOT to be confused with George Jones! – adores Rachel. Tripp is that all-American blonde athlete that can do it all, but his passion lies with basketball. And his heart? It goes for a roller coaster ride, as does his blood pressure, in this novel. He made a mistake two years ago because he was scared, and now he’s facing the ramifications of it all, and he’s just got to deal and be there for Rachel, but he’s having a hard time of it.

"Tripp Jones – athlete extraordinaire, high school heartthrob, and the only person to ever break my heart. The shit."

Stacy is Rachel’s older sister, the perfect one. The one who can’t get pregnant and is jealous and mad at her sixteen year old fuck-up sister, according to Rachel. They have a very close relationship, and even though almost every conversation turns out to be an emotional “me” one for Stacy, she is always there for Rachel and does everything she can for her and Gracie. In fact, she is the one who saved Rachel.

Rachel’s pregnancy was a shock – to everyone – but she decided to keep her baby. And afterwards it was extremely rough on Rachel. She suffered a lot of things: broken heart, broken dreams, lost identity. She was at a low point that she talks about several times in the book – at critical moments – and that is what makes this book different. This is where the real and raw I mentioned comes in. And Tripp and Stacy where there to get her out of it.

Rachel’s mom and both her grandmothers are strong supporting secondary characters, and even Tripp’s girlfriend Lauren plays a pivotal part in the book, and what she does actually shocked me. Stacy and Katie – even Dean – are also strong characters that further the plot and Rachel’s journey of self-discovery.

It’s the end of her senior year, and Rachel has faced so much in the last two years. Her future is not looking as limited as it seemed before.

I loved the way Rachel’s character, her history, and her personal reflections unfolded. The school guidance counselor, parents, grandparents, Stacy and Katie were all used in this book to help Rachel through her trials, to get over the hump, and sometimes to hold her hand through life. I enjoyed seeing how Rachel’s relationship with her guidance counselor changed throughout the book, when at first she was just a free ticket out of math once a week, and by the end Rachel was coming to her on her own and sharing BIG news with her before anyone else.

"I don’t know if it’s awesome or pathetic that my grandmother has a hotter social life than I do."

Rachel’s sarcasm, and the dialogue throughout the book, was spot-on in creating her flawed character, and showing the flaws and the love in them all.

Life Interrupted is the first novel that truly made me cry. I had to stop myself from crying all the way while reading in public (and I just can’t do that!)…

It is a story of being a teen mom. It’s a story of being a teen mom while being in love. It’s a story of learning the difference between wanting to do something and being obliged to do something, a story about learning to rely on other people, a story of knowing what it means to be strong, a story that tells us that true LOVE is not only accepting but embracing everything about that person, a story about making decisions and sticking to it. Life Interrupted is about love, life, and family.

Life Interrupted is that contemporary romance that’s perfectly right for me. Its realistic aspect really caught my interest – the drama, the characters, the feels, and everything else. Rachel’s voice is very nice to read – she shares her thoughts of being a teen mom, how she got there, how she felt when she had the child (Gracie), and other more things. It’s not that I can relate to that situation but I can sympathize to her situation. The way she talks about her life, her story, really just makes me feel for her. It’s a very straightforward storytelling, by the way. It’s just Rachel telling her story. She talks about her life right now while also talking about what brought her there (flashbacks). There were a lot of times when I cried, simply tear up, and just smiled. It had a lot of great moments.

Rachel is a very realistic heroine – how she feels about her life in general, why she pushes away people, how she feels about her child during the few months, how she feels about Tripp, and other more things. My issue about the characters is that how others respond to Rachel. Their responses to her, how positive they are in most cases and how very expected some are, are very ideal. Everything is so convenient in here but maybe that’s just Rachel being lucky with most of the people she met.

The romance between Rachel and Tripp was quite realistic although very hail pulling at times. It’s like you just want to tell them to just be with each other already (reminds me of how I feel when I’m watching shoujo anime~~). There were a few back and fourths between the two because of Rachel’s inability to rely on people or how she sees herself as a burden to people.

The conclusion was very beautiful. There were a lot of realizations for Rachel right there. The developments toward it were very smooth. Tripp’s POV at the end was very cute.

Life Interrupted is a young adult novel with some mature content that deals with the aftermath of a teenage pregnancy and its consequences. The story is being told from Rachel's perspective and it begins with her recapping some moments of her life. Throughout the book, you'll notice that it happens in between chapters as well. The author weaves in these parts and it flows really well. The parts didn't interrupt my reading, instead it added something more to the story overall.

I knew there was going to be a romance between Rachel and Tripp. When I first read the book and learnt about Tripp through Rachel's eyes, I was not happy. I did not like Tripp at all. I thought he was a jerk. I disliked his actions and I did not agree with his decisions. But needless to say, Tripp won me over.

I think what made this book into such a remarkable piece of story were the characters. I'm not just talking about the main characters. The side characters were just as great and lovely. I liked how each character wasn't just brushed over. You actually get to meet them and learn more about them through Rachel. From the "good" to "bad" characters, you get to grasp their personalities and how each character has their own voice and is unique. I only wish we could have gotten a little more interaction between Rachel and Gracie. Gracie is adorable and I can't get enough of her.

Other than that, Rachel developed and progressed as a character a lot throughout the entire book. Especially since you learn about the way she acted after giving birth. You get to see her grow and become stronger emotionally and mentally as she matures. Physical wise, I think she's good enough since she doesn't even hesitate to punch someone.

All in all, I really enjoyed this book. It was such fun to read about the characters. They're not perfect. They do make mistakes. And at the end of the book, I find myself liking every single character even if they've made some poor decisions. I think they added something special to the whole story. I hope there's a sequel or a companion novel. I would love to read Katie's story.

Voice is so important in young adult fiction in setting tone and developing character. Rae's voice rings true, both funny and self-deprecating. Rae (aka Rachel aka Flow) looks at life head on and narrates it unblinkingly, no regrets, despite an event that interrupted her life at the age of sixteen. I was struck by the aptness of the title, Life Interrupted, in describing Rae's state as the book opens at the start of senior year. Can Rae fortify her relationships--friend, sister, lover? Can someone like her go to college? Learn to ask for and receive help from those who love her? These are issues with which many teens grapple, but not many whose lives have been so interrupted.

A particular strength of author Kehoe is the portrayal of relationships. There are no villains--well, there is one, but not the one you're expecting--instead, there are misconceptions and misdirections. High school is treacherous, especially when you are the object of scorn, but friendship can come from unexpected places. Ultimately what matters is to dare to dig in and untangle the threads of relationships. To that end, Rae supports her neglected friend and braves what she imagines is the scorn of her sister. A harder task is for Rae to allow herself to love and be loved. Tripp, her best friend and secret love interest, is kind and loyal as well as sincere in his affection for Rae's daughter. I enjoyed the juxtaposition of Tripp with Rae's Ex, he of the one night stand. The ensuing and inevitable conflict between Tripp and Ex set my heart a-beating!

Yet even the Ex in his way is not evil. Kehoe handles his character with finesse, folding him into her deft exploration of the abandonment issues that trouble all the characters--and perhaps many non-fictional teens--but Rae, most of all, with her brusque leave-them-before-they-leave-you approach. How do you overcome abandonment? How can Rae? You'll have to read Life Interrupted to find out.

I didn't love the epilogue. This from a gasp! die-hard proponent of prologues and epilogues. However, in this case I felt the epilogue was an add-on I didn't need and didn't want. I would have preferred to imagine the post-life myself. That aside, I enjoyed the book and recommend it for those who like to read about tough teens making tough choices.

In Life Interrupted, a young adult/new adult contemporary romance novel by Kristen Kehoe Rachel (called Flow by her friends) is a senior in high-school, she's a volleyball player who is fierce and and independent and may not always think before she acts. She's in love with her best friend Tripp and had a one year old daughter named Gracie.
Even though she is in love with her best friend, in the past both of them were afraid to admit their feelings which led to Rachel making an impulsive decision that left her pregnant.
A little more wiser a year later she and Tripp are still drawn to each other and this time instead of keeping things bottled up they let things out with impressive results.
Even so a facet of Rachel's past threatens to burst their happy bubble as Gracie's father, a suspected drug dealer and all around sleaze suddenly wants to be back in Rachel's life.

I loved Life Interrupted by Kristen Kehoe! Rachel is a such a compelling and engaging character, her tone and perspective grabbed my attention by page three and refused to let go of it till the end.
Even though she's a teen mother and single parent Rachel isn't alone in the book as her mother, sister, grandmother, her best friend Katie, and of course Tripp provide her with a great support network and as the book progresses she learns that even though she's totally fierce and strong (and tall) that it is still okay to lean on people when they want to help.
Since this is a romance I would be remiss if I didn't talk a little about Tripp. He was her best friend since they were young and it's easy to see the camaraderie between them even after they get together (and when She and Tripp got together so many sparks were flying they threatened to burn the book). He's perfect for her and I enjoyed reading about him, her and Gracie till the end.
Loved it!

I'm on a cheap Amazon book kick, and while I've ended up skimming most of them, this one really captured my attention. I loved it. I love how strong Rae was, even when she's doubting herself. I loved how real her doubt and fears were. I'm a very married, financially secure, not-teen-mom and I still could relate to her. Doesn't every mother doubt herself sometimes? Wonder if she's good enough, doing enough, giving her child enough? I can't imagine compounding that with the average worries of being a teen - falling in love, finishing high school, worrying about the future - but Kehoe captures it remarkably well. I loved the hero, even when he was being a jerk, and Rae's best friend Katie, and god bless an author for putting families in this book that don't disappear off the face of the earth. Even though Rae's dad took off and Katie's family is just fucked up, there are very present adult figures in the book. Yes, teens sneak around and drink and take advantage of alone time to have sex, but that's reality, too. The absentee parents in so many YA books are just convenient plot devices, and it's annoying. Not in Kehoe's books.

I had two gripes - the pacing of the book felt a little off. The tension rises very early and then stays flat through most of the book. The ending - even though I really enjoyed it - felt almost a bit anticlimactic.

The other - it made me crazy how often Rae was described as "big." As a tall gal myself, I have a hot piece of news - 6' and 140 lbs of muscle is not big. In my more athletic years, I was 5'10" and ranged between 135-140 lbs, and I was a size 6. In my life, no one has ever called me big or thick. If you add 2 inches to my height, I would have been verging on skinny. I love seeing strong, athletic girls as main characters in YA - but I want them to be real.

M/F,1st person pov, Rachel POV, #1, standalone, HEA
#2 is the companion novel to #1, "Him" POV

I love this book!

It's been a long time since I enjoy reading YA, usually I find them annoying, with characters who are selfish or whiny or just idiot. Here, it is not the case!
This book scream REALITY. Real life.

The pace is good. It flows.
It has great characters and side characters who are supportive, funny..
I really enjoy the "lack" of explicite sexe scene. It's turned to black and it's good.

The main focus isn't the romance. It's everything else, it is life that happen and go on.
You read her daily life, with friends, with her daughter, her mother, her sister, with Tripp.. The author doesn't tell you, she show you.

I love the cover btw ;-)

Tiffany's Review:

I loved this book!!! It really hit home with me. I need to put this book on my list to read again when my kids are in high school. As much as I would love for my children to go through high school and college and be able to enjoy life being young and free the reality is it probably will not happen. Life ALWAYS gets interrupted! This book tells the story of a 16 year old, Rachael, who makes a bad decision at a party one night. The one and only time she has sex she gets pregnant! Rachael runs to her best friend Tripp for help and comfort! The problem with Tripp is he has a girlfriend and can't be there for Rachael in the way she wants. Rachael faces so many hard times as she decides to keep the baby. She gives up her dreams of playing volley ball and faces numerous rumors that are not true about her. How will it all work out for Rachael?! I am sure that everyone will not feel the same way about this book as I do but I really enjoyed it!!! Life is full of hard decisions and this book really makes you think about how quickly life can get interrupted! I give it 4.5 stars!

Hott Review of Life Interrupted:
What I liked: I cried. I laughed. I loved every moment.
Life Interrupted is a very real reminder of not only what high school is like, but also what it’s like to be a single mom. It was so odd to see so many of the feelings I had as a single mom put out there for all to see when I’ve never spoken to a soul about them.
Kristen did a wonderful job writing this book. It may star teens – and be a great ready for many of them – but I also think that it’s a great book for adults to read to see how teens think and feel and how to relate to them in a way that is helpful and not aggravating.
What I didn’t like: There was a lot of foul language in this book that wasn’t entirely necessary. While I know that is an accurate portrayal of most high schools I didn’t think it was necessary.

This book really surprised me – the story was very well written, our protagonist was sassy and fiercely independent, I adored the love interest, Tripp, and the theme of teenage pregnancy was very well handled and thought-provoking. While the story focuses on Rachel, we also get an insight into many of the supporting characters, and I would highly, highly recommend this read.

I participated in the blog tour for this book, and received a copy of the book for honest review.

As a former teen mom, I really appreciated where this book was coming from. Many books discuss teen pregnancy and a few the first year of the baby's life but very few discuss life afterwards. It's quite different as you've made it through the survival stage and now you are left trying to figure out where YOU belong. You're not an average mom or an average teen. This book really did that confusing and sometimes lonely stage justice. I really liked Rae although I found her quite brutish at times. Her struggle to accept motherhood, love, and responsibility was so realistic. I do feel like it could've used more editing. Parts of it seemed unnecessary or too wordy but I'm nitpicking.

Wow wow wow-ee wow.

So when I started this book, for some weird reason, I thought it was about a girl who gave her baby up for adoption and then somehow, the baby ended up back with her.

I was so wrong! This is about an honest and true teen mom (not MTV-like at all) who juggles school and love and life. It's seriously adorable, and even though there were TWO epilogues, I still want more. I want to hear about a possible second baby and maybe more about Katie and Tanner. Either, way this book deserved five big huge stars!

This was a pretty good read.I enjoyed the story. It held my attention and was in fact a page turner.I think what held it from being a 5 star read for me was the repetition of her being sixteen and pregnant in almost every chapter. The story itself was great and I fell in love with Rachel and Tripp. I really enjoyed reading from Tripp's Voice towards the end and would have enjoyed it throughout the entire book. I look forward to reading more by Kristen Kehoe.

I am in awe of the strength that Rachel possess at such a young age

This is a book with a roller coaster of emotions in gigantic proportions. Friendship and crushes leading to hurt, but always there for support and protection. Rachel is the strongest 16 year old character I have ever encountered, and she thrives with the support and love of her family and best friend Tripp. I highly recommend this this book.

couple of homonym issues - steel/steal and baling/bailing. minor typos

treats a sensitive subject with care, although with a decidedly romantic edge. Our hero is too good to be true supportive, families are non-judgmental and supportive. Heroine sits with her hands under her thighs quite often.

****4 So What I Have A Baby And I'm Still In High School Stars****

I really enjoyed reading this story of a strong and determined teen mom. Rachel is a strong, straight forward and tell you how it is type girl. Loved her. Tripp is a sweet, sensitive and loves with all he has in him. They are wonderful together. Their story along with Gracie was an great easy read.

Loved it as much as the first time I read it

There are just some books that you can always turn to again and again and this is one of them. I actually forgot how much I loved this story. This book felt real to me; it was funny (hilarious at times), touching, and just so sweet. You can't hep but love every character in this book. Just an overall great book! Highly recommended

I really enjoyed this book. I had a hard time putting it down so I could sleep. I do wish maybe more about the baby's dad was talked about... His part was all to nicely wrapped up soon.. Having gone through a horrid baby dad thing myself it doesn't get wrapped up nice and neat like in the book but then again it's a book so I ca look past it.

This book had me at the first line, "Life can be such an a**hole." While the writing isn't the cleanest, I found myself drawn into the story and invested in all of the characters. I have read a lot of books about teens growing up too quickly, and they are usually superficial and completely unbelievable. Not so here. I thought the story was unique and I loved the voice of the narrator Rae.

Bff's are forever!

I recommend this story for all of those that think love will never find you. There is a plan for all of us if we just stop to take time and allow others in. Obstacles come, but we can't let them control our futures, Rae and Tripp prove that life is worth the adventures!

Loved it

I loved the strength of Rachael. Her and Trip had great chemistry and I loved that a Trip was a guy who loved her strength and fearlessness. Definitely worth reading. I was so impatient that I actually ready the second book ( trips pov) parallel to this book.
