If you read only one book this year, make it this one. Firefighting From Within is a remarkably ingenious self-help book written by Dave Pamah. I picked it up thinking I knew everything there was to know about motivational books and I couldn’t have been more wrong. Reading this book was a surprising fact, and I found inspiration in a place I simply did not expect.

Author and firefighter Dave Pamah put together his personal experiences into practical advice in this book, "Firefighting from Within". This book is written for readers from anyone in the society. It ushers everyone who has been through or currently dealing with difficult times. It draws attention to the significance of doing something and remaining in control of tough situations. His advice helps readers develop a positive perspective and perceive their dilemma from fresh, formidable points of view. Pamah describes some of his most gruelling times facing bullies, racism and discrimination to demonstrate how a positive attitude can prevail over, even during the hardest of times. His hope is that this book will hearten readers to be in charge of their lives and that they will learn how to make use of certain tools that will influence self-improvement and move forward into a more fruitful life. With his experiences and lessons learned related to his own personal drawbacks, he was able to share inspirational guidance that will definitely assist readers to conquer their obstacles and come out on the other side as a better person.

I was forever changed, inspired, and uplifted by this book. His experiences spoke to me on so many levels and moved me. Needless to say, this book is a real must-read.

First, I must say that I received this book through Goodreads/First Reads giveaway. In return I was asked to give an honest review.
I was disappointed with this book. I really wanted more "in-depth" answers not the same old stuff I've already heard over and over.
It was well written. It just didn't keep me interested.
