Saggio storico sui moghul, apparentemente semplice e molto illustrato, forse ingenuo nel riportare le molte leggende fatte passare per vere che circondavano la fama di questa dinastia di imperatori di discendenza mongola.
In finale è un testo prezioso, una sintesi molto ben fatta che illustra l'opera d'arte e il contesto storico in maniera magistrale senza stancare o appesantire.
