A mind can be a dangerous thing and all our actions, thoughts, words, come from thoughts in our mind. How can we change our way of thinking and why are we our own worst enemy? Joyce stresses that we must change negative thoughts in order to have a more fulfilling and happy life. If you are going through a rough time, this book is a great book to read and go back to often anytime you feel you are off track.

I have a habit of letting my mind be engulfed with negative thoughts. I consider myself a positive person. I believe I'm content with life. But I admit there are times when I struggle with thoughts that shouldn't even enter my mind.....these are quick devotions to read daily all about how and when to change your way of thinking.

If I learned only one think from this book it is Trust in the Lord in all things and seek Him first. I thought I already knew to do those things but this book showed me how I was letting myself be overrun by worry and anxiety and gave practical biblical advice on how to address your stressors. I love it, highly recommend it. I even bought a few copies for some friends.

Battlefield of the Minds really illustrates the struggle with maintaining a peaceful attitude. I think it would serve best reading it repeatedly and in snippets.

In a nutshell? Negative thoughts lead to bad attitudes and unchecked, wrong thinking leads to sin. There was a lot of good stuff in this that I found helpful in having more victory.

However, I had the same issues with it that I would with any book like it: not everything that happens to us is from the devil.

Specifically with this book, it seemed Joyce was saying if someone disagreed with one of her teachings, the devil was using them or they were disagreeing with God. Discernment is important because--as she so thoroughly stresses herself--Satan deceives. No Christian is going to be right about everything. Another place, she said she should've listened when people told her that her words could sometimes be harsh. Why not earlier when someone criticized her teaching?

There were also occasions where it seemed she was using the Bible to back up what she already thought about the topic. It was difficult for me to see how the text actually proved what she was saying, almost as if it was a situation where you read into the text.

In spite of a few things I disagreed with here and there, it has definitely changed the way I view my own behavior and habits of negative and judgmental thinking. As usual, Joyce has a nice way of putting everything so we don't feel condemned (except for perhaps that very long string of days about unbelief) but rather highly encouraged to put on our armor every day and fight the good fight!

This books has changed the way i think. I got closer to God, i am nurturing my young faith and it has given me a stepping stone to know God, read the bible and do more good. I can say i am doing better at thinking what i am thinking of now, encourage myself to think positive thoughts, to be patient and wait on Gods timing. I have learnt that praise and prayer open doors to heaven and blessing, as i keep growing in faith, i pray The holy spirit leads to and protects me from Satan strong holds. This book is for anyone who wants to change their lives through positive thinking, its all in the head. A better way to live a more fulfilling life. This is my second Joyce Meyer book, i look forward to read more from her. Great work Joyce, God is really using you!!! Xoxo!!

If you are a Christian you should read this book, if not, read it anyway

The author presents the battle happening in our mind everyday. We all have our own mind against us more than we know, some times we have thoughts we don’t understand, other times thoughts we don’t like ourselves, like a battle. this book explains those thoughts and how to fight and win against them
This is a serious subject, since everything starts with the mind, and bad thoughts bring bad decisions, and good thoughts good things, and this is a universal true in every philosophy of life. So, learn to monitor your mind and how to clean it, and start to feel more free in your life, and with this more confident of your future.
I love the book, the best I read about this subject.

It's the first time I read a book that has inspirational and motivational insights based on Bible. At the beginning was annoing. However, by the time I had finished the book I found good suggestions for a better attitude in the daily challenges.
It's a good book for those who study bible and who have enough time for going again and again over the same ideas but expressed in different words. In addition to that you could see that the author tried to explain "a path to success" through Christian teachings.

This book was very enlightening regarding the power of our thought patterns. I read both the book and the devotional simultaneously. As I write about Embracing God's Child, I am able to draw on some of Myer's teachings in this book. I highly recommend this book to those desiring to change their thought patterns for the better.

Battlefield of the Mind

This is a really excellent book and has helped me enormously. When we line up our thoughts with God's then we can be a winner. We have victory through Christ, who loves us and wants the very best for us. I chose the book because I became aware I was having problems. Very well written and compassionate.

Perfect read at the perfect time in my life.
Although I wish she didn't use NIV scripture (I can't stand that translation) her writings correlate very practically to the scriptures she chose.
This is the kind of book you need to revisit throughout life.
