I learned a huge deal from this book for the biography i I’m working on. He’s an interesting and knowledgeable author who did his research.
I also got to understand Hacı Ömer Sabancı the man, how he became who he is, his values, how he’s bringing up the next generation.
Unfortunately, I was not able to totally understand Hacı Ömer Sabancı the businessman, most importantly how he made money. There are numbers, dates and chunks of history missing.
Suddenly he buys a mansion overlooking the Bosphorus and starts major greenfield investments with imported machinery.
But I have bunch of notes to continue on with my research. Next up, Nuh Naci Yazgan, Kadir Has or Damar Arıkoğlu.
