I write cinematic sci-fi of substance. What does that mean?

My love of writing came from reading, of course, but my love of story really came from movies. Expect smart characters and short chapters that move along at a cinematic pace. I like intricate, plausible stories that reward careful readers without alienating those who just want to kick back and escape this messed-up world for a while.

I currently have two series: Reassembly, a humorous space opera with six books, and a dystopian trilogy, The Cytocorp Saga. I expect to release the first book in a new sci-fi series sometime in mid 2026.

I currently live in Ecuador.

When I'm not writing page-devouring science fiction, you can find me thinking about it.

It's a pity when you can see the vision that the author was going for but ultimately comes up short. The book is filled with interesting ideas borrowed shamelessly and with love from other sci-fi with enough of It's own unique flavour to be special. But it's still marred by sloppy editing (Geddy holsters his pistol twice in two lines) misogynist undertones (it's funny because its *men* as sex workers, get it? get it? it's *meant* to be women) and straight up questionable language (used more than once).

I wanted to like it more, but it feels like the author didn't know what to do with Denk and Voprot. The lack of female characters remains. Introducing them to bus them or fridge them.

It's a fun adventure at times but has a better, funnier story lost in it.

An epic, fast-paced sci-fi adventure packed with humor, heart, and high stakes. The Reassembly Omnibus delivers big ideas, unforgettable characters, and nonstop momentum as Geddy Starheart and his crew race toward a universe-shaking showdown. Cleverly written, consistently entertaining, and immensely satisfying, this series is perfect for readers who love large-scale space opera with personality and wit. A must-read for science fiction fans.
