Mutation or death are her only choices, so she splits the difference and becomes something more than a dragon’s bride.
Life on Earth offered her a slow death by one of the many cancers that riddled her body. The Terran Avatar and the Reset Project have offered her a new life. Any life is preferable at this point.
Liona accepts that she will be torn down and rebuilt, and as long as she gets to sleep through it, she is all for it.
The mail-order bride factor is odd, but it is a traditional way to get a compatible woman long-distance. She supposed that aliens weren’t much different.
After being reset, she looks at the specs of her destination species and is shocked. He was different. He was very different. It never occurred to her that space dragons were a real thing.
I appreciate that this book is back to how Viola Grace used to write, rather than reverse harems with omega female leads who was trapped and molested by their circumstances. One of the main reasons why I always enjoyed her books was because her female leads were finding ways to free themselves from bad situations rather than being trapped within them.
It was great getting another reset book Can't wait till the next one! I hope it comes soon cause I want to know more about the parrot in the promised book after this one
Absolutely loved this story. One of the best in this series and I have a few that I consider the best. Characters were well written and the world building was pretty amazing. I would recommend this book and this series!
Viola Grace is one of those authors whose books I devour immediately when they're released, despite whatever else I may be reading. A majority of her books are comfort reads for me and whenever I'm in a book slump I usually re-read one of hers. The stories are short and can be read in a few hours.
This latest release is one of my new favorites. Liona leaves Earth with a new lease on life, to travel across the stars to Neevath's home world , as a mail order bride (for want of a better description). Neevath has been waiting centuries for his mate, and in every interaction and gesture, it was clear to see how much he treasured Liona. Their romance was sweet, spicy, and filled with many tender moments.
I highly recommend this story for any one looking for a quick, lighthearted HEA read.
Liona goes from being a dying woman on Earth to becoming much more in this slightly steamy love story. I enjoyed the witty banter and verbal foreplay in this fascinating tale of transformations; hers, her dragon-shifting mate's, and that of the very planet on which they live.
Loved the characters and plot. Would have loved reading about the birth and the great scenarios that could have happened. Those would have been the icing on the cake. Disliked the length, too few pages for the price.
