It’s a rather basic introduction to the topic, and helps you understand that vodka doesn’t just equate to Absolut. There are some interesting tidbits here particularly the history of vodka in the places where it is the drink of choice - Poland, Russia and Scandinavia as well as background in the process of how it’s made.

Because it’s largely cut and pasted from two larger books including Spirits & Cocktails it could be a little more structured. There’s also an entire section on cocktails at the end which is less on vodka and more on cocktails generally.

What does standout is the design of the book as a whole - photos on practically every page and snazzy layout.
