Extreme Logic Puzzles

Rate this book
Take your brain to the extreme! This terrific collection of tough logic puzzles comes from Barry R. Clarke, a theoretical physicist, film director, comedy sketch writer, and true Renaissance man. His amusing, challenging conundrums give you a setup and a list of clues, but you'll need every drop of logic to unravel the who, what, when, where, and why! Great development tool for teachers to challenge young minds to think in the classroom.

I realised I could take a book with me to read in the car after work, rather than lose a precious half-hour of natural light to commuting through rush hour!

...it didn't go so well taking this one. I got about three pages in and determined I absolutely couldn't solve two of the puzzles with a golf pencil and the back of an oil change receipt. Imagine that! Lesson learned! I instead spent a good couple of weeks solving the rest at home, at a desk.

Seriously, though, even then I couldn't do a good fifth of these puzzles, it felt like, because even though I CAN draw... really??

I think this police artist needs a new line of work!

I guess OTHER than those puzzles, the book's okay for an otherwise boring afternoon. I don't know if I'd recommend it to anyone in specific, though.
