An absolutely wonderful and poetic romp through the arid desert of life, following the misadventures of Polka and Jiri, a bubbly cat and a sad bird. The cover sticker compares it to The Little Prince, which I kind of get. It has that same whimsical all ages feel, that resonates with young and old. Some of the imagery is also most definitely inspired. But it very much does its own thing. And what a thing that is ! Renaud Dillies' style is honed to perfection. An expert blend of meticulous composition and some loose and cartoony artwork, with a gorgeous color palette. I was genuinely marvelling at every single page
