It taught me a lot about the world. It taught me how inflation takes all the money, for example: The government has only one thousand dollars and a couch is $243 and the government says ‘’ Well you have to pay this extra amount for taxes, and that is $20.’’ 👎 😠!!!

Another fantastic addition to your Tuttle Twins library, and a great sequel to Volume 1.

Like the last one, I like how it uses the Tuttle twin kids narrative to tell history through story. The format brings in a way for the reader to consider reasons behind actions, as we follow the twins learn history through sometimes parallel predicaments. And being this far into the Tuttle Twins universe, it references past characters and books, making an enjoyable reading experience for the fan.

I like how the end of each chapter contains small informative wiki entries for things brought up. I also appreciated how the story narrative works in commentary on contemporary issues, by bringing them up as similar or in contrast. For example: Benedict Arnold and Edward Snowden.

One thing I think may be initially confusing for readers new to historical and libertarian vocabulary, are the uses of classic terms for liberal and conservative, but the language is clearly defined and understood. It also covers the imperfect and argued over start to the United States, breaking an assumed narrative that I’ve seen, through balanced presentations on topics like the Antifederalists vs. Federalists, Propaganda, the wars in Iraq, and the Bill of rights.

All in all, I found this to be ambitious and well executed.

One sentence.
American history taught the right way. (And it's entertaining, too! 😉)

Join the Tuttle Twins, Ethan and Emily, their parents, and their neighbor, Fred, on a continuation of their history-learning journey!

My whole family loves all of the Tuttle Twins books - they're amazing! I love how they teach economics and history in a way that’s both truthful, and entertaining. No more boring history books!

My mom and I did a unit study over the summer using this book and loved it! All of the Tuttle Twins books are written very well and are of wonderful quality. If you haven't already, you definitely should read them!

I really hope that you love and enjoy all of the Tuttle Twins books, especially the history books, as much as we do! There are also monthly magazines that we get, and they're so awesome!

Again, this American History series brings history to life for my kids. This series is a hit at our house because there's nothing dry about it. It teaches truths and is a hit with my kids. That's a win/win for me and them!

The best part of this book is when the twins reenact the last battles of the revolutionary war during an epic game of capture the flag at summer camp.
