Born and raised in Chicago, IL, writing has always been a passion for Jessica Cage. She dabbles in artistic creations of all sorts but at the end of the day, it's the pen that her hand itches to hold. Jessica had never considered following her dream to be a writer because she was told far too often "There is no money in writing." So she chose the path most often traveled. During pregnancy she asked herself an important question. How would she be able to inspire her unborn son to follow his dreams and reach for the stars, if she never had the guts to do it herself? Jessica decided to take a risk and unleash the plethora of characters and their crazy adventurous worlds that had previously existed only in her mind, into the realm of readers. She did this with hopes to inspire not only her son but herself. Inviting the world to tag along on her journey to become the writer she has always wanted to be. She hopes to continue writing and bringing her signature Caged Fantasies to readers everywhere.

The fact I couldn’t do away saying- that I have become a Jessica fan. Reading Last Stop was an amazing experience, one that you cannot confront every day. It was not reading it was experiencing..- so chilling and compelling. I hadn’t read much in the genre, except some (which were exceptional like Joe Bonadonna’s MAD SHADOWS) but this has made me an addict. I’m thirst for more.

In LAST STOP Jessica Cage describes the challenging life that a human being, among us, will have to lead when he/she could savor a little more with her senses- something that the “common folks” cannot see, hear or feel. In LAST STOP the protagonist Josephine is blessed with the ability to see things that normal people cannot see. That a slight extension to one of her sense organs entirely changes her life. But she bravely manages to accept the fact and cope with the turmoil of change. Instead of letting it shatter her life to smithereens, she channels the same to her advantage. Josephine is characterized as an extremely bold and willful woman. The reader could imagine himself in the protagonist’s position and infer how difficult it would be. This strong characterization is what that attracted me the most – something that the women of our era lack. Something which is essential for survival; the courage to accept the inevitable and go on.
Another thing that a prudent reader cannot acknowledge as an advantage is that the book is short, but heavy- like a spicy Ayurvedic medicine further boiled to corpulence. Short, brief but perfect! Prudently penned that at no part of the reader would find a scarcity in detail. Jessica is surely a gifted writer. Blessed be her pen.

This is the first book by Jessica Cage that I have read and I have to say I was very impressed. Josephine has her world turned upside down when she has the gift of Sight forced upon her by a spirit named Edward. She does not like these changes and tries to fight them with everything she is worth. Like all things she eventually gives in and not so much embraces but realizes that this “gift” is not going away. In comes Sam who yet again turns her world on its axis. Sam also has the sight and wants to help her in her new life but like any smart girl she is not too easy to trust. I can’t say more without giving the whole book away but I must say that if you are a fan of the paranormal like I am you will thoroughly enjoyed this book. I started reading it one night and then got mad when "work“" interrupted me I was that engrossed in the story. Needless to say I would definitely recommend this book to any lover of the paranormal or even suspense or romance this book has it all. I cannot wait to get my hands on the second installment of the Sighted Series.

I'm always wary of every paranormal novel I'm given for review. I read the classics and love anything to do with ghosts, but I didn’t have anything to worry about with Jessica Cage's novella Last Stop.

Josephine Massey is a normal woman who loves photography. She hopes there is no afterlife and takes a train that hasa last stop in front of a bench rumored to be haunted.
When she finally meets the ghost, Edward, thanks toa wayward locket, normal life is turned upside down. She is one of the Sighted and very powerful. She can cross the planes from the living world as well as lead confused spirits to the afterlife.
But her unknown daddy is back from where her mother sent him...and her life is in danger.

This gets a "4" for one reason: it was too short! I wanted--craved--more! It was well written, suspenseful and, even in its unreal story, it felt real. The reader gets inside Josephine's head and heart; comes to know and understand her fear.
Add in a relationship with a ghost and demonic elements, this is a grade A read!

4/5--great!

Another atypical read for me that I truly enjoyed as I devoured the pages late at night. Our heroine is capable of seeing things that normal people can't see.

The way that she accepts this and moves on with her life as a strong black woman made me pleased. She doesn't shrink into the corner to weep, sob, and bemoan her poor luck. She tuffs it up and carries on to discover a family secret that would make most people give it up. My only gripe with this tale is that it's SO BRIEF. I was truly getting into it and it ended so swiftly I couldn't believe that was all!

An interesting story that had me intrigued from start to finish. This is a suspenseful thriller of good versus evil and one woman's discovery that her life is not what she thought it was. Josephine is thrown into a world she didn't know existed, doesn't understand and definitely wants no part of. A fast paced read full of twists and turns throughout.

Jessica Cage grabs your attention from the start in her latest novel, LAST STOP. Her characters are engaging and well described. This storyline, though slightly different from her usual, is making me anxious to see what happens next. I look forward to see what this talented Author writes next.

I really liked this take on the "human guiding the spirits to the great beyond" concept. Josephine was very relatable, even going so far as to say a lot of the things we, as readers, say when we're reading these kinds of stories.

I initially picked it up because the cover caught my eye, and then seeing in the blurb that the main character was a photographer and that she'd be meeting ghost had me sold. I enjoyed the twists and turns. The overall story seems to be a prequel ... introducing our main characters, giving us a rundown of the others and what's at stake, and then putting Josephine in the position of needing to accept or reject this new life. I do hope the author revisits this series because I'd love to know what happens next.

FYI ... my ebook copy from Amazon included corrupted formatting. I plan to reach out to them for a corrected copy but have no idea of how long that will take. However, I was still able to read the story just fine.

If you have NEVER read any of Jessica Cage’s books . You should RUN and get them. Starting with her newest release, I ACCIDENTALLY SUMMONED A DEMON BOYFRIEND”!

Although I did enjoy this book, but not like her others. I felt there was more needed to be told. Is the only reason for 4 stars. Of course this is a novella, so. If you’re into ghost and spirits and demons try it out for yourself. JC never disappoints!

Edward the ghost falls for Josephine the human woman. Even though this connection they share wasn’t supposed to happen it did. All to be taken away in a flash of magic lol. Edward is working for Josephine’s demon dad and fails to tell her the truth about it. When she finds out both their fates change!

I enjoyed the book. It took me a while to read it because I lost a loved one when I started it. It was bad timing for the topic, but I stuck it out, and im glad I did. I am hopeful for a book 2.

Last Stop by Jessica Cage had me spellbound. The story starts out a little slow, but it does pick up pace. Not a full speed gallop, but a speed that keeps you turning the page. In this book, you get to meet seers. They lead lost souls to where they are supposed to go. Josephine’s problem is that she is half demon and half seer. Her demon daddy wants her to send the souls to him. This is the first novella of this series and I cannot wait until the next installment comes out. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, there was a twist I was not expecting. This book gets 4 stars from me. I wish the story would have been longer and maybe a little more in depth with the characters.
