Greek mythos with some cultivation
Hmm. I'm not that sure about this one. It's not an improvement over the last, and suffers from long introspective rants and asides that makes reading tedious. The MC is extremely paranoid due to his having the most sought after treasure in their reality the God seed. He constantly weighs suspicion in every action and person he encounters which means he can never really be intimate (friendly) with anyone. Can't be a friend when your guard is always up. As a result he is a liar, a jerk, and all his actions are selfish, self serving, and greedy. I know this is a cultivation novel where evil actions like killing is a viable strategy for power, but no one really likes being in the head of a calculating paranoid demigod who cannnot relate and be himself with anyone. It's not a good story, but it is extremely interesting due to its setting. My only gripe with that is the author needs to do more research on his subject matter. I can tell from his work that he did not do a lot of research on Greek mythology before pursuing the topic, but the topic is so interesting that people will nonetheless read his work. Do like Riordin did for his Percy Jackson series and spice up your story with the mythos rather than just the pop culture stuff. I'll probably read the sequel but it's getting hard to really get into it when the story remains so self serving. Hopefully the Mc will learn to make friends and get out of his annoyingly paranoid mindset

I don't know if this is the Author's real name, or a pseudonym, but I found it funny while reading book one that the author's name was "Word Smith". Someone who Smiths Words and stories.
I really hate books that end on a cliffhanger, but a book whose title made it seem like that is what the book will be about, then ending the book before the title could be completed should be criminal.
I did enjoy the story, so I will read the sequel.

Zues is typically portrayed as this super horny paranoid guy. But Zues in this story is really reasonable which is a breath of fresh air. The protagonist still has to hide the truth but the character is not depicted as antagonistic.
