Casanova Family #4

The Biggest Redemption

Rate this book
𝘽𝙄𝙇𝙇𝙔 𝘾𝘼𝙎𝘼𝙉𝙊𝙑𝘼

When you’re the baby of the family, there are certain traits attributed to you.

Wild. Reckless. Playboy.

I’ve kept a carefree attitude, swearing to never settle down and to live each day as if it’s the last.

But when life and love collided unexpectedly, I found myself struggling to adapt.

Losing the familiarity of my family and finding a woman who could wipe the name ‘Casanova’ straight off my lips, had me chasing a high I hoped would erase both.

It nearly cost me everything.

But sometimes there’s just no escaping yourself, no matter how hard you try.

𝘼𝘿𝙇𝙀𝙔 𝙎𝙐𝙏𝙏𝙊N

I swore I would never be white picket-fenced in. From dear old dad to my ex-fiance, I’ve lived through enough dysfunction to swear off the possibility of ever falling in love.

Billy Casanova was only supposed to be a fun distraction. Someone I could tease and tempt while giving him a taste of his own medicine. But with Billy ,there’s more than meets the eye.

My carefree ways colliding with his wild ones are making me reconsider my aversion to love.

Saving another man is the last thing I need to do, but when the ghosts of my past reemerge, I quickly realized Billy isn’t the only one who needs saving.

Everyone deserves a redemption story. This is ours.

I can't believe this is my first Carolina Jax book and my introduction to the Casanova Family. I will definitely be going back to read the stories for the rest of the family.

The Biggest Redemption is probably one of the best redemption stories I've ever read. Billy Casanova has my whole heart. He is wild and reckless and makes a lot of mistakes. Billy battles many demons and, unfortunately, deals with them in unhealthy ways. Adley is a romance writer and a little more carefree, but she also battles her own demons. Billy feels that Adley is the woman of his dreams, but after one night together, Adley is not so sure. She realizes how bad things are with Billy and is afraid she won't be able to fix him while dealing with her own issues. With Adley gone and other changes happening around him, Billy continues to struggle, but he works to get his life back on the right track. The feelings he developed for Adley have not gone away, so he works hard to be a better man for when/if she returns to his life. As fate would have it, Adley does return.

Although a little toxic, Billy and Adley's relationship works for them. They truly do need each other. Both are still struggling with past issues that impact how they operate in the present. Adley is terrified of having the same life she grew up with, and Billy is not a fan of change. Their connection is deep, intense, and strong. They can't help but be drawn to each other. As a couple, they really go through a lot. They walk through the fire together and EARN their happy ending.

This is a true redemption story. Reading it was an emotional rollercoaster. The Biggest Redemption made me laugh, cry, smile, and giddy at the swoony moments. It is an amazing love story with great spice, plus it is inspirational. There is nothing I love more than seeing well-developed characters experience growth throughout a story. The entire Casanova family has been through a lot, and there is so much healing in this book. The Biggest Redemption truly is something special, and I highly recommend this powerful story.

Many thanks to Carolina Jax for providing me with an e-ARC. Opinions expressed are my own.

Carolina Jax, you definitely saved the best for last when you wrote Billy in The Last Redemption!! This is one of the best, most heartfelt and heartbreaking yet redeeming stories that I’ve read and the best I’ve read from Carolina Jax!!

It’s no secret that Billy Casanova is the baby and the playboy of the family, he’s wild and a bit reckless, never going to settle down! He’s got major demons that he deals with on a daily basis and it’s only made worse by the fact that he can’t have the one woman who stars in his every dream, Adley Sutton. Adley is wild, carefree, a writer, a dreamer and stand-offish as hell about a relationship because of her own past trauma. What they don’t realize in trying to spare the other from drama is they need each other more than they need to stay apart!

These characters are real and relatable. The story delves into addiction and all the ways it affects not only the person who is dealing with the addiction but shows how family members, significant others and friends are affected. I love how this story is stripped down to not only show the problems that occur in families everyday but how you can overcome those issues together.

I recommend for a wrap up of the brothers stories in The Casanova Family Series with a hea! Make sure to grab your tissues, this book will take you and your heart for a ride!

Why? Why oh why have you been holding Billy from us for this long Carolina??? Billy is... Billy is pure perfection. And this book, this book right here? This is Carolina Jax's best book to date. Do not argue with me, do not dare disagree, do not even hesitate a stutter. This book is so flipping perfect - flaws and all!

It is sweet, it is deep, it is sad, it is heartfelt, it is beautiful... your emotions will be all over the place with this one. But above all else, you will be rooting for the well-deserving underdog. Yet, Billy is in moments that, but he's also not. This story is really a coming of age story, and I mean that even though by the end Billy is nearing his mid-30s, it has taken him all of his years and experiences to discover his worth and who he really is - and to be okay with it! And how many of us in real life actually have the privilege to find ourselves and be good with who we are? I don't think too many. So this is beautiful just in that regard.

But further, this book is honestly so flawed - flawed in that it shows how we as humans are flawed. There is no perfection - no one is perfect. But we find the beauty in our broken pieces. Billy has been battling substance abuse issues and so Carolina takes us on that journey, but she also takes us on the journey of a loving family and friends that react in various ways with said abuse. Just like in life, each human reacts differently to such challenges. We are faced with tough love, enablers, and everything in between. But just as with each of us leading our own lives and traveling our own journeys, so do the characters and how they react to the various scenarios. At the end of the day, everyone's journey is different - and we should keep that in mind while reading this.

Adley, the MFC, is no different. She's got her own demons. She too has struggled and overcome. And Carolina takes us on her journey, which we've witnessed glimpses of specifically in her sister's book. And we've seen glimpses of her and Billy for some time - but seriously Carolina?!?! I cannot believe you've held out on us with this story.... flaws and all, it is the most compelling and beautiful story you've ever written. And for me, this really is Billy's book (sorry Adley). He is a beautiful, beautiful soul - flaws and all. I want to know Billy, I want to spend time in his orbit, I want to bask in the sunlight of his soul because he is - forget book boyfriend material - he is good people material, like salt of the earth, down to your core, a core friend type of friendship material. And I love Billy so much, I hate that he had to go to hell and back, but his redemption tour was... I'm not choking up, you are. *sniffle*

Now, if you don't mind, I'll be over here in recovery for a while. Missing Billy.

Billy’s book was so so good, it had me all up in my feels the whole time. His story, his struggles, his truth…. It was deeply emotional all throughout and written so beautifully by Carolina.

This is a book that will live rent free in my head for while for sure.

We finally get Billy and Adley’s story! I love Billy so much, but he doesn’t do himself any favours, that’s for sure! Billy really struggles at the beginning of the story and as much as he and Adley want to be together, nothing can really happen for these two until he learns to deal with his demons. After an intense night together, Adley discovers how bad it is for Billy and realizes she needs to deal with he4 own problems and can’t be the one to fix Billy which causes him to spiral and things come to ahead.
Billy starts to get his act together, but still struggles with things out of his control and his own self worth. How he sees himself is so vastly different than how everyone else sees him. When Adley returns to his life, she almost becomes his new addiction or lifeline and that’s not fair to either of them. Billy hates change and Adley is terrified of having a life like she grew up with. They love each other immensely, but have to fight hard for their HEA. Billy loves hard and with everything he has, he needs to learn to love himself the same way and Adley needs to learn to trust in the love and trust in herself to not let her past experience ruin her future.
Such a complex couple and they definitely go through highs and lows, but through it all they know they love each other and they have an incredible support group behind them.
I love how things wrapped up and I’ll miss this series when it’s over (this is book #4 of 6), but look forward to the next series and hopefully have some cameos and updates of the amazing Casanova family.

I had been waiting for Billy Casanova's story, and this did not disappoint. Billy is "the baby" of the family (the youngest twin) and certainly does live true to his name of being a "Casanova", but that merely scratches the surface of who he truly is. Carolina had warned us that ending this story of the Casanova's would be very bittersweet, and dare I say, has saved the best story until last.

Billy truly lives up to his name, he is the good time guy, always cracking jokes, has A++ in flirting, easygoing, goes with the flow. And as a result, slipped under the radar when it came to covering up his not so desirable habits from those he loves. He has enamoured me in all the previous books, when we read about his budding relationship with Adley, so to have this story to take the reader right back, uncovering those less than desirable behaviours, it had us, at times, not loving Billy as we had done. We also learnt about Adley an uncovering all the things about her that made these two a perfect match. There is so much love between these two, that has been there for many years, but life could not be smooth for either of them, and so we have their relationship unfold, envelop and tug our heartstrings at every turn of the page. There is also those ever important relationships between the Casanova siblings and parents, that sees, not only Billy's redemption, but on a smaller scale, theirs.

I have needed tissues for each of the Casanova Siblings, but the biggest was required for Billy. There are several triggers that will bring up things for those of us that may have experienced them, and certainly it did for me. I never wanted to stop, because each layer uncovered (just like peeling an onion) kept me hooked, to the point I could not put it down. It was more than I ever could have hoped for, but I still don't want to say goodbye. The Casanova Family gives you all the warm fuzzies, and in a place called Christmas, what's not to love.

Carolina Jax’s first book in the Casanova Family Series, “The Biggest Win,” was the first ARC I ever participated in. A newbie to the BookTok/Booksta world, she graciously took a chance on me and my inexperience. Many books and reviews later, it’s been so wonderful to watch Carolina’s author career take off. Each of the Casanova books shows the growth of her storytelling, and I can’t help but fall in love with each of her characters. One in particular had always held a special place in my heart: Billy, the youngest Casanova sibling.

The younger twin always appeared carefree, fun, and joking but genuinely struggling, unbeknownst to his family, medicating with drugs and alcohol. Carolina dives deeper into what we didn’t see in the previous books. She was able to capture Billy’s characteristics and mannerisms of a person with an addiction without glossing over the ugly parts. Yet, Carolina could still keep the integrity of Billy’s charm. His goofiness and one-liners were a crack-up. Readers will see how his addiction impacts his family as well as the woman he loves, Adley, with each setback he has.

“The Biggest Redemption” was an intensely powerful read I thoroughly enjoyed.

This book is so full of heart! I absolutely love Billy Casanova - not despite his flaws but because of them. He’s the light at the center of the Casanova family even on his darkest days. Watching him overcome real life obstacles, believe in himself, and dream for his happily ever after was truly so powerful.

Carolina Jax is sincerely one of the best writers - this series is outstanding in the way it perfectly combines love, laughter, relatable tough topics, and all within some of the best characters from a small town.

Wow! Wow, wow, wow! *round of applause*
Mrs. Jax, this is my love letter to you!
Thank you so so much for the Casanova Family! Thank you for this beautiful town of Christmas and all its residents! Thank you for the heart break, the healing, and every bit of humor along the way! These stories and their people bring me so much joy! Thank you for trusting us with a piece of yourself. Your books are something special and I know this is only the first series of many, can’t wait to see where you go from here!

Love,
a from the beginning reader🤍

I knew going into this book that Billy & Adley were going to have a story unlike anyone else. Billy needed his redemption and it was finally time for us to see and understand the whole story! Carolina was right the first 50% I absolutely wanted to throat punch Billy! How do you forget dude, seriously?!

Billy Casanova is the baby of the family, and so he lives his life that way. Every where he goes he is the life of the party and the one that everyone worries about. When Billy meets Adley he instantly knows she is the one for her, but life slapped him hard in the face and he lost her and so much else in his life.

Adley comes from brokenness and abandonment. Her whole life has revolved around being the saver. She wants to love and wants to protect but is so stuck in her own head…

Their story was heartbreaking yet so rewarding. When they find their way back to each other their second chance truly captures your heart in a way that is hard to explain. These two broken people, together make each other whole once they allow themselves to truly embrace and love one another despite their pasts, despite their failings, and despite their fears. Oh it was BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you Carolina for such an amazing series!! The Casanova family will always have a special place in my heart❤️

Let’s start off by saying It’s bittersweet to see this series end. Not going to lie, my heart aches but I know it’s just the beginning to so much more Carolina has in store for us. The Casanova family has left their mark on me and I’ll forever cherish the laughs, the tears and the scorning spice from this small town.

Billy is our last and youngest Casanova and is now my favorite No shade to the rest of the family because love them all and each of their storyline was amazing but Billy is the true redemption story and it does hit close to home.
We seen glimpses of this couple for some time now in the previous books in the series but to have their book in my hands was most definitely worth the wait.

Billy is the outgoing, outspoken and just overall fun/happy brother that everyone seems to love but he struggles with addiction. (Read TW’s).
I love how realistic and raw this story is. It’s not an easy fix, it’s most definitely a up and down journey not only for the individual but the family/loved ones who stay committed to helping out and being there. Carolina touches base on these topics so well.

Adley is such a carefree person but deals with her own trauma. She matches Billy’s energy to a T and I love seeing the fun banter between the two. Their connection goes beyond just physical. It’s not a Carolina Jax’s story if it does not take you for a wild ride of emotions.

As always love seeing the whole clan and new details! 🤩

Billy and Adley’s story concludes the Casanova Family Series and what a way to end it!

Billy is seen as the baby, the favored one and because of that his struggles often are overlooked, excused or hidden away. What no one sees is how much he is struggling to stay afloat. Change, addiction, coping, self worth all play factors in his path to self destruction not ever realizing how much he is loved, needed, valued by so many around him.

Adley is his ray of light but she has demons of her own and when a night together is forgotten by choices, she realizes they both aren’t ready.

A turning point forcing a decision to change but it isn’t that simple. Making a choice to live for yourself and others is work every minute of everyday. Some days are harder than others and until you find your driving force the valleys can be bigger than the hills. But the one thing that can pull you from the ashes…love and commitment.

Adley struggles with letting go of her past and living for her future and Billy has the will power to prove he isn’t letting go this time. It’s a battle to get to their HEA but when they get there its beauty is insurmountable.

Congratulations Carolina!

I’ve read Ms Jax’s stories from multi author collaborations before, but this is my first Casanova brother, but I’ve now got the others on my TBR.
I loved how Billy dreamt of Adley, and how he knew she was his One.
The way Adley didn’t want anything to do with him was captivating.
These two have issues, each is struggling with one thing or another. Some very difficult situations and current challenges are handled so compassionately here and I commend Ms Jax for that alone.
Billy and Adley’s story is emotional, steamy, heartfelt and deals such a dose of reality.
The characters have depth and flaws, they’re hard to get to know or like at the beginning. But as the story unfolds and you get to know them you understand their actions and all in love with them.
Their journey is hard, raw at times and I needed tissues, a lot of them, but the ending was utter perfection, they are so right for each other.
Billy broke my heart, I’m so glad he got his HEA.
Please check your triggers, but this is a must read.

Thank you to the author.

This is Billy and Adley’s journey and what a ride it is. He meets her when he’s young and stupid, doing stupid things. But he’s instantly attracted but they both have demons they are fighting.

These two will take your heart, break it, smash it and then slowly get put back together again. The hurdles and roadblocks they have to overcome are immense but the redemption journey is worth the emotional roller coaster. The family bonds bring some drama too, and the spice is hot and steamy.

Be prepared, there’s more to Billy than you expect.

Thank you @carolinajax_author for the e-ARC of this story. The journey you take us on is emotional and one that hits close for many. Your growth as a writer in this series has been a pleasure to read - that is more than evident in this book.

You know you have those families that are just a warm hug and bring you comfort being surrounded by them! Well the Casanova family is that for me in the book world. This I said when I read the first book in this series around 18 months ago and it still holds true after I read the final book in the series. This is a bitter sweet ending for me. We finally have our wonderful goofball and our favourite party animal Casanova, Billy!! His story was a long time coming. And saying goodbye to this family is not something I am not ok with am still not, but all good things must come to an end. And boy oh boy there was a reason Carolina held off for him to have his book the last one.

We fell in love with Billy from the first introduction way back when. He was just that friend you know you wanted in your corner and have his unwavering support and strength. And we get introduced to Adley in book 2 AKA Adam's book AKA The Biggest Secret, and this relationship was just building and building and you know you are just excited and can't wait to see how they navigate their relationship.

Now here is the twist. Everything is not as it seems and not everything is hunky dory. I will say that my heartbroke broke so much, I cried so much for Billy and have screamed and cried and threw stuff, basically had a tantrum over a fictional character and I am ok with that. Redemption is so bloody real, this book is the most relatable story every read. It's raw, it brings out those emotions that you never want to address and makes you human. I forever and perpetually want to live in Christmas and be a part of this family.
The dynamics between Billy and Adley was something. Not everything in life comes on a silver platter no matter who you are, or to whom you are connected to. It doesn't matter, your story is your own be it good or bad or ugly and Adley and Billy brings out all of it gasping and laughing with all the angst and pain and magic. Also Adley is just a fecking kick-ass person and the one made for Billy.

Redemption, is truly that, a redemption for Billy and you will commiserate with me when you read it. Mark my words. I hate that i have said goodbye to this family, I want more stories, laughter and love from them. I hate this goodbye. But I'm gonna wish that this goodbye is only for now!! Always and forever the Casonova family.

Omg carolina has done it again..each time i read her book,i think it cant get any better, but it does.each book is absolutely amazing but i think billy holds a special place now.
This does have some triggers so please be mindful of them.
This is a raw but beautifully written story that will make you feel every emotion.
Both billy and adley have a lot to deal with and you feel for both of them, the push and pull, ups and downs make you feel unsure of how things will go,but you root for them and hope they get their hea that they deserves.
I really dont want this series to end and will miss the casanova siblings, but i will definitely be re reading these again and hope to see these characters in future books

The Biggest Redemption by Carolina Jax is the story of Billy and Adley. He’s loved her since the day they met. He’s totally smitten. But, he’s wild, a playboy…and has some serious problems to deal with first. Adley has her own problems to handle. She can’t let go of the past and she tends to saddle Billy with those issues.

These two are so messed up in their own ways…dealing with their own problems…the best way they can. The only way they know how. Can they get beyond it all?

There are lots of potential triggers in this story. It is both disheartening and uplifting! Tragic and joyful! Wonderful read!

Just WOW!

I love getting lost in the small Town of Christmas Texas. I have read the whole series of these books and to be honest loved each one of them. But the best was saved till last .
This book broke my heart, Billy is my man totally my favourite not sure how Carolina did it but she saved the best till last. She broke me, cry, I cried so much in this book but I loved it, so much I've read it twice already. The story is just so beautiful written, I totally lost my self in the story.
Billy the joker the black sheep of the family but he's the one that holds it altogether, the one with the biggest heart and by far the sexiest in my opinion. Ady is his perfect match they both had issues but together they are whole. This book is written perfection. I'm sad this series as to end but I cannot wait to see what Carolina gives next. I would definitely recommend this whole series it's absolutely phenomenal and worthy of so much more than ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars. BRILLIANT READ!!!!!

This book, this series, this family! My heart is whole knowing each and every Casanova has their happy ending! This is the family you want to be apart of, the kind of fan that welcomes you with open arms and a glass of sweet tea… This book had me sobbing, laughing, and squealing! All the feels with this damn book but so perfectly done… The fact that this family has dealt with so much shit, so much real life situations but healing, not just alone but as a family…. So beautifully done!

I went on one hell of an emotional ride with Billy and Adley’s story. Billy Casanova is the baby of the family, the playboy, reckless and life of the party. He also has an addiction problem. You are pulled into the struggles of his addiction to help soothe his pain trying to adjust to changes happening all around him. It’s not until he finds Adley that has him chasing more than one high.
Adley, a romance author grew up with dysfunctional life and ex fiancé that has swore off men. She’s ready to put herself first and live a carefree life. Flirting with Billy begins as a fun distraction. He’s magnetic and a temptation she doesn’t need in her life.
So much emotion felt reading this story I was in tears for Billy and all those who care about him. How his brothers, parents and friends banded together to help him was something. I’m still recovering reading this book. A great ending to the Casanova brothers. Carolina does a phenomenal job getting as close to real life in her fiction romance books. Highly recommend.

Conflict and Redemption

Adley and Billy, what an emotionally difficult journey. I could not put this down even though I was hurting for them both. Wanting them to have their happy ending was all I could think of as I read through this one. The conflict and redemption they both had to go through was intense. Carolina Jax has outdone herself, way to go, what a redemption it was.

I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily leave this review.

Carolina definitely saved the best for last. Billy is hands down my favorite Casanova. Everything about this story is incredible. You will laugh, cry, be angry and happy and so many other emotions while reading Billy’s story. There is something so heartfelt about knowing you found your person even at a young age and the way they find their way back to each other is inspiring! Billy and Adley have a relationship that some only dream of and I’m so sad this story has to end.

Thanks for letting me read this early!

Billy!!!

This was probably the most highly anticipated book of the series. Billy has been the jokester, the playboy of the Cassanova clan. He is also
Tommy’s twin. Billy has so much more depth than anyone would ever realize and Carolina Jax did him justice in this book. I want, need a Billy in my life. He and Adley were perfect for one another, and their story deserves a chef’s kiss 💋.

This book is real. It goes deep into real-life problems, and it shows the struggle. I applaud the author for her courage to do so. Addiction isn’t pretty. It’s not how it’s portrayed by Hollywood. Bravo to you for how you portrayed Billy’s issues. This story had it’s hold on me well before starting this book, but to see how deeply Billy was impacted by his siblings, especially Tommy, was truly heart-wrenching.

The entire series will have you laughing, crying, yelling out loud, and cheering them on. While the Cassanova’s are the type of family everyone wishes to have, they are real. This is a series of interconnected standalones. You can start anywhere, but truly now that they are all here, start at book 1 and don’t stop. This is a set of books that I think everyone can relate to, and I haven’t spoken with anyone who simply didn’t truly love each and every one of them

This is a beautifully written, tragic raw emotional story. Having a sibling who struggles with addiction, this story resonates with me so much. Larger than life Billy is all fun and exciting, everyone loves him and he knows that.....but does he? This book made me laugh, cry, but mostly it made me think and feel, which I think I'll be doing for a while after reading this. 👏🏼 Great book.

I received an advance copy of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily

Billy is the baby, and of course, Carolina saves the hardest for last. This book broke my heart so many times and put it back together as well.

The road to redemption is long and hard, and Billy and Adley walk through fire to try to reach that redemption. We see their flirting in prior books and knew that Billy was a playboy just looking for the right woman to tame him.

I finished this book yesterday and it was really good! I love Billy ❤️
The story is really good and I think the issues were handled delicately and with care.
Billy is such a sweetheart and I really just wanted to give him a big hug!
I really enjoyed the scenes with him reading Adleys spicy books to back to her! 10/10 book boyfriend material there!
At times, I found the timeline hard to follow. It seemed to jump forward and then I was lost as to how much time had passed and a couple of times when a chapter ended and I was excited to see what happened next, it was years down the line and we didn't get to see the part I was hoping for.
Overall, I really enjoyed the story (I may have shed a tear or two) and as usual Carolina's writing is brilliant ❤️
