I love Joy the Baker, especially her "Let it Be Sunday" blog series, which is how I found this book. It is a perfect introduction to baking for children. I am so happy I bought it for my school library.

This book explains Joy Wilson's love for baking. Most of the book is a step-by-step guide to teach readers how to bake like a professional, mixed with stories of how Joy became the public figure known as Joy the Baker. Joy shares a cake recipe at the back of the book. Overall, this book was an engaging read with fantastic illustrations.

Cute and informative

I loved reading Joy’s cookbook for beginning bakers. It explains many basic things about baking in a fun way. It is encouraging, and has good illustrations. I have followed Joy the Baker for a long time on Instagram, so this was a special treat. I think that my 6 year old grandson might just enjoy this book!

A cute book to teach young readers about baking. The drawings were very pleasing to look at and some basic tips were even mentioned. I would recommend this book to any children who are interested in baking; the tone in the book is very encouraging, which can help build confidence.
