The last thing Diana Holcomb wanted was to be a single mother. But when her boyfriend rapes and beats her nearly to death, she has no choice but to go on the run with her infant daughter. One cold, snowy night lands her passed out on the steps of a stranger’s home. Could it be a gift or a curse?
When freezing weather and a need to help combines close to the most romantic day of the year, unexpected sparks fly. Take a ride with Cassius and Diana as they possibly find love this Valentine’s Day!
Diana was just like any naive girl growing up thought an older man would be her knight and shining armor. She was fooled. Cassius showed her how love was supposed to be.
Imagine you find a beauty in distress on your lawn with an infant…what would you do? Cassius was a man who was able to help this beauty and later wanted her for himself and that exactly what he got. His daughter Kamiyah was such a sweetheart, I really enjoyed reading this because it touched close to home for me. I watched my mom be abused and it’s a lot and to find someone who is willing to help you is hard. This was well written by the author and look forward to maybe an update in the future.
Guardians comes in all forms and times, it just so happen that during an snow storm after being taken advantage of and beaten Diana got the courage and strength to escape her abuser and into the arms of a man and his daughter. I loved the way they build a relationship and fell in love before even being physically intimate with each other. Her abuser got his karma back for all the pain and torture he gave her. Happy she was able to reconnect with her aunt/mom and she welcomed her back with open arms.
I loved every bit of this story. It was so hard to put down. I'm so happy everything worked out in the end. Renni was so insecure she irked my nerves. Moses deserved his karma. Cassius saving Diana's life wasn’t how he imagined meeting the love of his life. I'm glad Diana was able to find a real friend like Maria after everything she had endured by the hands of Moses.
Tabeitha, good read. Diana had so much strength inside of her she just thought all was lost. Cassius was the man. He was a protector, and he was about his business. Diane needed something she didn't even know she needed. I love how Cassius treated Diana. He never made her feel awkward or awful about her choices she made in the past. Just a good read🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Cassius was handling his daddy business! Kamaiya was so mannerable and she wasn't spoiled rotten to be a daddy's girl. Renni fumbled the bag big time. You never lower yourself & let your opponent see you sweat lol. Diana was just being her authentic self and she was a light yo everyone that encounter her. That ex of hers was a real piece of work. I knew he was insecure by the way he treated her smh he got what he deserved anyway.
This was a great sweet quick read. I love Cassius and how without a second thought he took in an unknown woman and her infant who needed help. That was so selfless of him. I'm glad Diana got away from Moses' evil azz. He got exactly what he deserved in the place he deserved to be. Cass and Diana was just what each other needed.💙💙
Diana finally got the life she deserved after being with an abuser I'm glad she was able to leave because some people try and it be too late Moses got his karma back to him Cassius came in at a perfect time to save her and make her life great again like she needed they was definitely a power couple
Loving this series trope of single dads. Who knew a broken woman running for her life in a snowstorm could lead to her finding herself and love all in one and in a short period of time. Diane was used abused by Moses but escaped and got HEA. Keep em coming
Diana and Misti literally fell on Cassius and Kamaiya’s doorstep during a snowstorm while escaping from an abusive relationship with Moses. A world of possibilities and new beginnings were opened for them individually and collectively as a family. If I was Diana I would’ve changed Misti’s whole name when Cassius adopted her though.
I loved this book. Glad to see there are still some good men in the world and don’t judge a woman. So glad she was able to bounce back and take her life back without being afraid to do. My first time reading anything by this author and I loved everything about this book. Besides Moses. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💫💫💫💫✨✨✨
This was a decent and refreshing story. I loved how Cassius and Diana completed each other, including their children. They were both selfless and forgiving. I loved how they saved the intimacy for marriage. What I didn't like was Diana cursed twice, at least once in the kids' presence and Cassius didn't call her on it. And did she ever mention that money?
I loved how sweet Cassius was. How patient kind and compassionate he was with Diana and Misti. He swooped in an righted all the wrongs Moses did. He deserved everything he got in jail. And Renni just ....ugh. This was a beautiful novella
A good Valentine's story. With likeable, interesting characters that met at the time in their lives when they both needed someone. This storyline has a steady flow with a little drama, growth and love.
This Valentine's story was beautiful. Cassius and Diana healed each other from their pain they both were experiencing before they came into each other's lives. I am so happy that Diana is achieving her goals. Great Read!
This was so good. Cassius was a sweet man. I was glad that Diane met this man, because Moses was the devil in disguise. Renni hate now how she mess up and good for her. Condone and Cassius most definitely true love.
The plot started off strong but fizzled out. It would have been nice to read an erotic connection between the characters as well. I also couldn’t help but to sense a weird fixation on lighter skin. Good premise tho. 3 stars.
I can't stand men like Moses. He is the perfect example of 'God don't like ugly'. I hate that he got the hand he was dealt tho. I'm glad Cassius took Diana and Misti in. Him and Kamaiya needed a woman's touch in their lives.
God guides us in the mist of our blindness. When we're broken and at our lowest God opens our hearts and eyes to blessing only provided through the highest power.
This was such a awesome sweet read. Cassius and Diana were so meant to be together... Moses was pure evil. I'm glad Diana and Aunt are back. Good read.
Moses should’ve got to see Diana’s glow up before his demise ! ! ! Renni really played herself ! ! ! Cassius and Diana was what they both needed in their lives ! ! !
