For his last hunt, Sly Palatine heads to the Yuzhnaya secret submarine base in the New Soviet Federation. It's New Year 2053, and the troops are celebrating violently. The White Wolf does not expect any serious complications for his mission. He is profoundly mistaken...
Telling stories has been my lifelong passion, a thread woven through my life from early childhood. The merging and molding of tales, drawing inspiration from various sources to create something fresh and unexpected, has been a constant source of fascination for me.
This enduring intrigue with crafting new worlds and breathing life into characters has evolved but remains unaltered at its core. In my writing, I am drawn to the creation of strange new landscapes, guiding flawed yet, hopefully, relatable characters through transformative journeys wherever the road may lead or end.
To date, I have authored thirteen novels and numerous short stories, each self-published on Amazon. My explorations span across genres including science fiction, adventure, detective mysteries, dark comedy, and satire. Often, my works emerge as a fusion of these genres, mirroring the intricate blend that characterizes our lives.
I extend an invitation to you, urging you to accompany me in exploring uncharted territories through my words. Together, we will navigate unfamiliar worlds, uncover concealed truths, and savor the journey along the way. The literary footsteps of Alfred Bester, Raymond Chandler, Harry Harrison, Arthur C. Clarke, and Ian Fleming have influenced my path and continue to resonate in my creative journey.
As a reader, I invite you to join me on a shared Odyssey, as we delve into the depths of the unknown. And so, our Odyssey begins!
As the world ushers in the New Year, 2053, the celebration becomes violent at the secret submarine base in the New Soviet Federation. Enter Sly Palatine, ready to quash the tide with ease, on this, his last hunt. But is anything ever easy for our hero? The White Wolf: The Hunts: Hunt V by Vardan Partamyan wraps up these intros to a full novel with a flourish! Filled with more humor, more action and more characters, Sly finds himself up to ears in twists and complications. Guess the rest of the year can only get better!
In a surprising end to this series of shorts, Vardan Partamyan doubled the number of pages, there was so much to tell in his characteristically brilliant way. Another fast-paced, over the top tale of the powers of right and might for our vigilante hero, Sly Palatine as he continues to rid the world of evil, one mission at a time.
As a child of the Cold War Era, when Berlin's Iron Curtain Wall & Checkpoint Charlie were real and stories about the USSR abounded, I settled quickly and comfortably into this latest tale, which has a little twist at the end.
Another quick fast-paced reading adventure of the White Wolf! Very funny written, I think I enjoyed the sub-characters as such as the main character Sly, after all Maurice at the beginning is a drinker of rum who thinks he has bones of steel & balls of titanium had me laughing out loud! This book is part of a series I hope continues! I believe it maybe the last one in the series but all books in series are great as stand alone. Recommended for lovers of Fantasy, Sci-fi, adventure or military action!
Definitely my favourite hunt. Vardan, with his great writing style, manages to transport to another place. The way he presents the Wolf's surroundings is really well put. Bring the book already!
The 5th and final? episode of the hunts, twice as long as the previous ones, which I like. Gives more time to build the story. As I mentioned before, I think the author has some great descriptions.
As I finished writing this last short story in The Hunts cycle, all the little pieces of the puzzle fell into place and the character of Sly Palatine aka the White Wolf became complete. At the same time, these Hunts are as much about the characters and events that will prove seminal in The White Wolf novel. It is also about a world on the edge... a world that has lost its way... the old systems no longer functional and the new ones non-existent. In these situations, the wicked and the determined can do things unimaginable... welcome to the year 2052/53... welcome to the future... too much like the past and the present we live in. I guess it's the human nature...
