Wow! I couldn’t put this book down! What a page turner! Bring on book two. Reverse Harem/Paranormal Romance-I’m all in!
Riley an alpha wolf was to take over as the leader of the pack after her father. She’s had a very hard life. Loosing her parents and then her sister. Alastair (beta to Riley’s dad) is to take over as leader of the pack after Riley’s parents are gone, til Riley is of age. He’s not so nice to her. Find out why when you read. At first she hears her sister talk to her until she doesn’t. She relies on pills and alcohol to numb the pain she’s in. She’s working at a bar where Cree (a bear) is her boss. He doesn’t quite like how she’s acting. He wants to help Riley, but being the woman she is, she thinks she’s ok.
It isn't until Riley is attacked one day at the bar, she’s saved by Enzo, an alpha wolf, that an intervention begins. He’s the tattooed bad boy. Wilder is a dream walker, another alpha male, who calmed Riley after her attack. They all want to help her fight her demons.

This is a deep and heartbreaking book. Riley has a dark past filled with lost and betrayal that haunts her on a daily basis. She's struggles to accept it and deal, so she drinks and pop's pills to number pain, to avoid the thoughts and memories. Her spiral is hard to read but for many people, it's a reality.
Lucky for Riley, she has a few good friends in her life who step in to help her. Her future mates all step in together to help her overcome the darkness that has encased her life. It's a beautiful thing to read about. The camaraderie, the love, and sacrifices made to help her. You can see that there will be so much between these people in the future.

Just a heads up you really need to read all books to get the complete and whole story(which contains some pretty major plot twists).
Has a few triggers like substance abuse and attempted r*pe, but its written amazingly.
Not that i would expect anything else from one of my favorite authors.
I love the fact Riley is, even though she's abusing alcohol and pills and after everything she's been through, still is an amazingly strong woman. Not 1 but 5 super hot guys all with their own speciality are her mates.
Once I started reading I couldn't put the book down. So straight after the first one I dove right in the second one. The books contain lots of drama, self doubt, past baggage, but also love, commitment and caring for eachother. Finally books where it's not they see eachother. She becomes all submissive and can't think for herself. The books really show the struggle for each alpha and how the past affects the present.
I honestly can't wait for more amazing books from her.

This story has pulled me in and captured my attention intensely. It pulls at heartstrings and makes you want to just wrap your arms around Riley. A wolf shifter who has faced tragedy and struggles to deal with what has happened, Riley is complex. Her pain and inner turmoil is described in a way that you can practically feel it. On the other hand the males that are drawn to her, show such deep feelings and concern for her well being that you can’t help but to cheer them on. Hoping that they can win a spot in her heart eventually. Livingstone pulls you into the drama and holds your attention, making you want to see where their story goes. I’m excited to see where the story goes and see how they over come. It’s a definite read if you’re a fan of shifters and enjoy being drawn into deep emotion.

This revamp of Beautifully Shattered is amazing. This was the book that got me hooked on B. Livingstone. Mortals and Mayhem is the right title for this. Riley’s character is bent not broken. She has some real struggles and I think that’s what makes her such a real character. There are no rainbow colored glasses. What you see is what you get.
That being said there’s some triggering content. Please read the warning prior to diving in. Don’t be that douche canoe who leaves a crap review saying it’s too dark and triggering.
I can’t wait more and am proud of B. Livingstone giving her book baby a facelift.

Woof, what a Cliffhanger!!
Mortals and Mayhem book 1, written by B. Livingstone is an exciting, mysterious and dark story. There are elements of animal shifters, 5 super protective alpha males, a possible reverse harem with a super slow burn, a sinister and menacing bad guy lurking in the background of the story and a huge, huge cliffhanger! I cannot wait for the next book in the series, there are so many possibilities here; more drama? Love? Healing? Betrayal?
Very entertaining and I highly recommend but check the trigger warnings; there is a lot of past and current trauma for the main female character as well as some of the men.

Amazing
First, please check trigger warnings before reading. This is the first book in a news series. I was hooked right from the start, completely drawn in and couldn't put it down. This is a fantastic shifter story. B. Livingstone has created an emotionally filled book with amazing characters. Riley is a wolf shifter who at the beginning of the book has tragic things happen to her and ends up broken. She finds out that she has five sexy mates that she’s not sure she wants or deserves. I love the guys and how they are all different. They try to help her stand on her own without doing everything for her. Can't wait to read more of her story

I loved this story! It was a page-turner right from tbr start; entertaining, angsty, dramatic, romantic, and the spice is nice. The storyline was well written, and let me tell you Riley may have a few issues, and trust me, you will feel for her and want to just giver her hugs but she is strong and you will absolutely love her. And, her men...wow, they are caring, protective, strong, independent, intelligent, and they really listen to her. It is just wonderful, they are wonderful. And, the events that unfold will definitely leave you at the edge of your seat and left wanting more; which is why I highly recommend reading this story.

I have to say I'm the reader they likes the fast pace, drop your pants lets do this. That being said this slow burn worked for me, the story interesting and dramatic.
So many emotions, tragic backstop of the past. Our girl just can't catch a life break.
The five... see in her what she doesn't see in herself. To get through this myriad of dangerous actions. Riley will need to seek her innerself, reconnect her girl.
Definitely a worthy story with a heart-wrenching past, a unstable present and a future that may not happen.
Oh and something sketchy be happening hmm mmm. Enjoy!

I thought the storyline was interesting and it kept my attention.
There was a bit of mystery, lots of feelings involved, and drama.
We have themes of found family, mates, different shifters, and more.
I think this book was a great introduction to our characters. I can't wait to learn more about each of them.
I love how much the men want to help her and heal her.
Riley has a ways to go, but it was good to see some changes.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and look forward to the next book. Especially, after that epilogue!!

This book sets the precedent for the future books in the series. I really liked that Riley is relatable. You get all the feelings from Riley that really pulls on your heartstrings. I love that her mates were supportive and there for her when she needed it the most. Riley still has a long way to overcome her past, but I am sure with her mates help, she will continue to heal herself and her wolf. She is an alpha after all.
I really enjoyed this book and I'm excited to read the next one in the series!

Please make sure you check your triggers before reading this story. Riley, a wolf shifter, is dealing with some heavy stuff, and you can't help but feel for her. The story keeps you hooked, eagerly waiting to see what happens next. It's a great read for anyone who loves the darker side of romance and shifters.

Mortals and Mayhem by B.Livingstone is a thrilling read. B.Livingstone has a way of drawing you into Rileys world.
Having loved this story the first time world, I was excited to hear she planned on revamping this story, and what a brilliant job she has done. This isnt a fluffy romance despite the characters being shifters. Rileys tale is dark, show check the tws before beginning. But if you love an FMC overcoming challenges this is for you.

This story is so good! If you think it you know a good story you haven't read this one. I loved this one so much. Riley is a girl who's had it tough and does have issues with substances and addiction but still is a strong character. This book is book 1 of a series and in order to enjoy the story you do need to read all as they can't be read seperately. I love how the emotions of the characters are portrayed and that makes it feel real. Of course there's shifters and all but still a great read and a re-read for sure. Highly recommend it.

Wow, the amount of feels this book forces is unreal. Riley is a wold shifter that's been put through the ringer. She meets 5 males that she feels are her mates, but with the amount of the trauma she's suffered, she's hesitant to act on anything. Alistair is a horrible person that has terrorized her for too long. She starts to find her strength and the support if her mates lifts her up and braces her. I look forward to reading the next book!!

This book was originally under Beautifully Shattered but has been re-edited and new content has been added, and omg was it amazing! Riley has been through a lot and let's say things are not always perfect. This book has a lot happening but at the same time, the love department is taking its time to let it grow. This book does end on a cliffhanger that makes you want to book two now. I can't wait to read the rest of this journey.

Mortals & Mayhem is the first book in the new series. This is a slow/medium born why choose paranormal romance. Although my heart hurts for some of these characters, I absolutely love Riley, Enzo, Cree, Wild, Axel and Reed. This book will take you on an emotional rollercoaster but it’s definitely worth it. The push and pull, the highs and lows, and the concern and determination. Can’t wait for the next one to come out!! I received this book from the author and this is my voluntary review.

This was a slow/medium burn, why choose paranormal romance featuring one alpha female with five alpha mates. Cree a bear shifter and the four wolf shifters Reed, Axel, Enzo and Wilder.
No real spice this was more about Riley and her recovery along with meeting the guys. Well written and well paced.
Left with a lot of questions and the possibility of betrayal. Looking forward to book two and getting more of the guys back stories.

What a beginning of this awesome series! I love Riley with so much loss and odds stacked against her, she still manages to pull through. The addiction she was under suppressed her wolf and well kept her hidden . I was thrilled when she found mates . Her past is definitely rearing its ugly head and I could not believe the twist at the end. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Please check CW and TW before reading this one. If you like fast paced stories this one definitely fits the bill. Riley's character was definitely not what I've read in other books and that was good a different type of FMC for sure! And her mates oh lord. They had me fanning myself. That ending though!

Started off strong and then my emotions went up, down and sideways. Like cmon look at them....give them what they want and be strong.
I read it withing like 1 hr....so imagine how good and delicious the story is. The plot came for the kill.

Riley is a shifter who is battling so much pain. She is keeping her wolf at bay meanwhile drinking and doing drugs constantly. As her fated mates watch helplessly. Until they step in and try to prevent her from self-destructing even more. This is one heck of a slow burn and ends on a cliffhanger that I am eagerly waiting for the next book to drop.

this book is so wattpadesque, that I'm having flashbacks (in the best way possible), I love how this book is short and a quick read but also has a crazy cliffy and I'm dying, will be reading book 2 tmrw, I can't wait to read the twist and turns. I know who it is but at the same time, I don't trust authors, they will end your theories in a second. loved this book though.

My poor heart strings! This story is a revamp of a previous book, and let me tell you, it was hard to put down once I started reading it. Definitely check the trigger warnings, but I have to say as dark as it started out, it came to an ending that has me on edge!

Heartbreakingly beautiful writing from one of my favourite authors. My heart broke for Riley, after losing everyone she's ever loved, she thinks there's nothing left. Then my heart broke again for her mates as they watch her self destruct. I can't wait to see where this goes......

Talk about pulling on your heartstrings. This is an emotional rollercoaster ride of a book with twists and turns. It gripped me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down till I finished. I think I went through all emotions in this book and can't wait for the next one.

I fell in love with Riley and her mates. I am impatiently waiting for the next book in this series. I need to know what will happen with them. I want so much more. I have read a couple of this authors books now and really enjoy her writing.

Ahhhhhhh! This book was off the charts amazing!!! I could not put it down!!! The chemistry between the characters was insane!!! And the plot…. Don’t even get me started 😂!!!
