Blood Mates #1

Blood Mates

Rate this book
Ava believed life was simple. Where everything was black and white. There were no shades of grey or in between. She didn't think she was anyone special. She had been abandoned at birth and survived. She was strong and learned how to stand alone all on her own, but was that enough to survive? She realized there was so much more that went bump in the night than just shadows. The shadows were the least of her worries. There were evil half breed vampires who wanted her blood and Immortal men who hunted them. She was now in a world she never knew existed. A world where her life would never be the same.

The Legion were Immortal men who protected humans from half breeds who only wanted to feed and destroy humanity. They swore an oath in blood to protect or die in the battle. In blood anything could be possible.

It was good but I have to wonder if plagiarism comes into effect, simply because this series was similar to a few but lined up with Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed impeccably at times. It bothers me that they were so similar.

This book was a copycat of Lara Adrian's Kiss of Midnight ( which is my all time favourite books!!!). This is why I am not willing to rate this book higher that a 1*.

It was too coincidental - there is a Lucien in this book !!!!! - although not the romance hero but he is the leader of this group out to kill half breeds. The Blood mates have a crescent moon birthmark on them - again same name & same markings as KoM.

I did finish this book but I am so angry at the blatant plagiarism. There are just too many similarities between these two books I am wondering how the editors & published ever let this book be released.

Please do not buy or read this book as Lara Adrian is an amazing author & she should not be ripped off this way - I am sooooo angry about this !!!!!!!

Oh I forgot to mention the hero - his name is RHAGE ( COPY OF DBD !!!!!)

Fun!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was perfect for a short afternoon read. The characters were witty and I was interested to see what would happen to them. I gave it five stars for the fun factor. Plus vampires and sex...mental eye candy. And nobody sparkled. I look forward to reading the next one.

Not written well

This book needs an editor. Lots of typographical errors . Lots of harsh language. This book has parts taken from J D Ward and Midnight Breed to the point of plagiarism.

I loved the book! I thought it was funny and it made me laugh quite a bit. The female lead was very funny and quick witted as a character. I loved the story line.
