Growing up in poverty, Sunny never expected anything good from life. However, even he did not anticipate being chosen by the Nightmare Spell and becoming one of the Awakened - an elite group of people gifted with supernatural powers. Transported into a ruined magical world, he found himself facing against terrible monsters - and other Awakened - in a deadly battle of survival. What's worse, the divine power he received happened to possess a small, but potentially fatal side effect...
This volume goes from chapters 601 to 750 and again Sunny and her friends have to challenge another nightmare but with an extra bonus included in the story that I won't go into spoilers so as not to spoil anyone's experience but basically in this nightmare we had Sunny and her friends facing perhaps one of the most insane challenges so far mainly because of the characters that antagonized this nightmare and an old and sinister familiar face and I liked this volume as a whole but not as much as the previous one I think volume 3 because it introduces a new character that appears to be evil and is giving the feeling of imminent danger I thought this one lacked that although as I said the challenges here were high and not that the volume is bad but it could have had a little more of certain things but overall I really liked it and this story continues to captivate me more and more and now I'm very close to the arc that everyone talks about at this level that it is the best thing I've ever read I can't wait to meet the much talked about Antarctica arc.
This volume blew my expectations away. While not quite as good as volume 2, it excelled in every way I had hoped for from the Second Nightmare. The action was climactic, the character growth was profound and deserved, and the revelations that tied into the overarching plot of the series as it moves forwards left me awestruck. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly: I love Noctis as a character. He’s fun, interesting, and a little bit mad (at least what we see of him) but his eternal tragedy hit deep into my heart, wrenching my heart out (in a good way) in the final scenes of the nightmare. While I wish everything was perfect, there is one and honestly only one big con: Mordret. He’s still alive, still left unfleshed, and still slightly uninteresting as an antagonist. The final conflict against him will certainly be enjoyable, but his character is simply surface level. Overall, and easy 4.7/5
This volume was quite good, especially the ending. It was quite slow too to be honest.
I loved how vulnerable they became with each other because of the mental torture they went through because even if it was sad, it also made their bond stronger not to mention that they are MASTERS now. How cool is that.
Seeing a daemon and finding out about the flaw sent goosebumps in me but the best part of this whole volume was undoubtedly Noctis. I love that man, he was everything ❤️🩹
(Maybe everyone being surprised that Sunny was tall instead of him being a demon was my fav part too🤣)

It is a gritty look into LITRPG/Progression stories.
Sunny has become even more gritty and may have lost what little sanity he had managed to claw back.
I hope that because we never see Noctis die, it means maybe we can see him again, either in another nightmare or still walking the broken dreamworld. How would he have died in the original?
I feel like his whole crew got a bit of the crazy after that ride.
Always looking forward to the next one of Shadow slave I consume. -Listened to the book, so I can't comment on the grammar.

Sadly I had a half year gap between starting this arc and ending it so I forgot some stuff :( However i can say for sure it was a good arc Solid 4.5 stars (it was really good but somehow the edge was a bit missing like it was in the other arcs mhhh) Noctis was the real mvp here (well besides Sunny obviously), he was just a chill guy 😝 rip TT It was a bit disappointing that Mordret didn’t really play as big as a role as I expected when finishing the last arc ._. However all the other stuff was really enjoyable 🤭
Not going to lie parts of this volume where quite slow but I still really enjoyed the book overall. The Red Colosseum arc was interesting and showed a lot but may have gone on for a bit long in my eyes. The same goes for the nightmare fight. But seeing the conclusion of the Second Nightmare was great and seeing the gang get back together was great for the final fight. The final battle against all of the immortal saints was so cool and was very enjoyable.
This volume follows more into the fantasy aspect of the worldbuilding in this story. It is also the volume when I (at the time of reading) finally realized the main stay of the story and who I should be aware of.
It gave way to much more character building for the side characters, with even the main character building a path towards a positive growth. It gave a weird sense of hope towards the helplessness that constantly surrounds the main character which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Loved the second nightmare and the chained isles. G3 proves once again his world-building is world class. So glad the side characters got more fleshed out here, also love the new characters introduced here, Noctis and Sevras especially were interesting sides of the same coin. Slowly the pieces of the Dream Realm, and the waking world for that matter, are being formed into a coherent image...
The whole 2nd nightmare is such a good break from recent events of the chained isles, knife gathering and weave learning was my fav, the last talk with Mordret was awsome too.
