The beginning of the book had me very interested. The spice happened a little too fast, in my opinion. I would’ve liked a little bit more of a slow burn between the two. I started to get a little bored in the middle but wanted to push through. The part where Rico and Sabatino finally came head to head was a little anti-climactic for me. I also wanted more when Sabatino confronted the traitor. Overall, the storyline was decent. There were a lot of grammatical errors that I noticed though which was distracting.

Lord of Punishment by Piper Stone is Book 1 of Lords of Corruption Series. This is the story of Sabatino DiMaggio and Georgia (Charity) Ingalls. Georgia and her son are hiding from her evil past. But she ends up saving a man who she knows she shouldn't be around but she can't help but to help him. Sabatino is a dangers man but he is very protective and caring for those he cares for. Enjoyed this book and can't wait for more from this author.

This is the first book of The Lords of Corruption and it had me on the edge of my seat with the action, suspense, danger and twists and turns. I loved Sabatino and Georgia’s chemistry. Great story! I am on to start the second book!

Incredibly passionate, action-packed, and full of sensual moments between the MMC and FMC, Lord of Punishment by Piper Stone will have readers enthralled and captivated by the story and romance from start to finish. While I did feel that more time should have been spent developing Sabatino and Georgia's romance instead of the revenge/traitor plot, I was content with how their relationship turned out in the end. Their relationship could be summed up in a few words—complicated, intense, and all-consuming. In many ways, Sabatino had two sides to himself that he had to contend with because of his amnesia and the time he spent recovering with Georgia. The soulful man that fell in love with his little peach was much less ruthless than the man he had been initially. I liked that Sabatino and Georgia had difficulty trusting each other at first because of their complicated pasts but they both end up realizing that they could not live without each other. This was further exacerbated by the constant danger that they were both in.
In the end, this was a solid introduction to the Lords of Corruption series and I am looking forward to reading Diego's story as well as the rest of the Brotherhood in the future. Sabatino and Georgia's incredibly sexy and passionate relationship will certainly delight readers and have you swooning for more. I really enjoyed the secondary cast of characters as well—especially Miguel, Sabatino's younger brother, and his wife Alicia, Diego, and the rest of the Brotherhood members. This book kept me on my toes near the end because Georgia's past nightmare was catching up to her and the only person who stood in the way of the monster was Sabatino. If you are looking for a steamy and action-packed mafia romance, I highly recommend checking this book out. You won't be disappointed by the story and sexy romance between the ruthless Sabatino and his little peach.

This book was sinfully good, and I am super excited to read more of this tantalizing new series. There is so much intensity going on here. From the darkness to the steam, to the drama, to the emotion, this book is fierce. I enjoyed the storyline. It grabbed and held my attention easily. Santino and Georgia sent my temperature soaring, tugged at my heartstrings and kept me right on the edge of my seat.

This book was so good I literally finished it in one day, which would have been less if possible. The turn of events were unexpected and the relationships and betrayals ran deep. Sabatino and Georgia went against the odds. I’m sincerely impressed with the way all of the characters were written and the plot twist was crazy. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Georgia/Charity has been in a relationship with a man who is showing his true self. He is very abusive to her and she is watched all the time. She only had one chance to get away and she took it. She is given a new identity, her name is now Georgia Ingalls. Georgia lives in Smith Mountain Lake and has lived here in this community for four-years. She is a talented writer of romance novels. Georgia is also a mother of a four-year old son named Dillon and a dog named Max, who is always with Dillion. Georgia still is on her guard and watching. Sabatino DiMaggio lost his wife in an accident several years ago and is a dark and dangerous man. Sabatino was involved in an altercation on a boat near where Georgia lives. Georgia found him washed up on the edge of her property, unconscious, with a cut on his forehead. He wore an expensive suit with a bullet proof vest. She knew he wasn't a tourist. This man didn't know who he was and Georgia being the good- Samaritan helped him to her house. Without his memory we see the other side of Sabatino. OMG!! This story was deliciously good, insanely intense, utterly emotional, and adrenaline packed. It is a dark and twisted story that held me captive from page one! I was addicted to the characters and devoured every single word in one sitting.
Charity/Georgia had my heart in a chokehold over what she had to endure, but she is a fighter and determined to get back her life one way or another. Georgia is a brave and strong woman dead set on never letting another man dictate her life or make her feel powerless ever again. But when a stranger literally washes up on her doorstep, she has no idea how their lives are intertwined, and this stranger is about to turn her world upside down.
Santino is an alpha-hole. He’s dangerous, domineering, aggressive, and protective of his possessions. But DAMN did I ever fall hard for this man. He was sweet when he needed to be and filthy, depraved and wicked when necessary.
The back-and-forth banter between these two was loaded with such intense emotions that you weren’t sure if they were going to give into the insane desire building between them or end up killing each other. Santino knows just how to get under Georgia’s skin and when she breaks the rules, he knows just the right kinds of punishment she deserves. The PASSION and sizzling FIRE between these two just oozed off the pages and had my heart melting along with my panties.
There were so many moving parts to this story that it kept me riveted to my seat, biting my nails with anxiety, and gasping over the shocking twists and turns that the story takes. Lord of Punishment is the first book of the Lords of Corruption series.
This was my second book from Piper Stone and man, she doesn't disappoint!
The story is about 2 individuals, who experienced the evil side of life.
Georgia is a runaway whose ex was abusive towards her. She just wanted a second chance in life to raise her only son.
Sabatino lost his wife years ago, and it made him a cruel and brutal man. His only language was blood and punishment.
One fateful night they crossed paths, Sabatino lost his memories, and Georgia although warily, took great care of him.
Their encounter was one in a million, and the chemistry between them electrifying.
I can talk about this book so much. Everything happened so fast, that I didn't know where to look, I mean, I just ate the pages.
The main characters' personalities matched perfectly, Sabatino was dominant, even in his amnesiac state, and Georgia loved the punishments. She was feisty and had her own walls and secrets, but still, they read each other so greatly, that I had a feeling they knew each other from before (they didn't but it was a feeling because they were so good with each other).
Sabatino's demeanour changed after he lost his memories, he became gentler and felt possessive toward his little peach. It remained the same after he regained his memories. The angst, the other side of personality, the back-and-forth sarcasm from the MMC and FMC made their attraction sizzling hot.
I loved Sabatino's nickname for Georgia, he swooned her off her feet with it.
The story was intriguing, even thrilling at times. I always felt someone would jump out of the dark.
I realized late who was the real traitor, and I was glad that person got the punishment they deserved.
So, I definitely suggest you read this book. The others in this series I cannot wait to grab.

The start of the Lords of Corruption series waiting patiently for the other (shhhhh trying to wait patiently 😊) so make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Georgia a talented writer of romance novels hasn’t had the best life still struggling with things from her past like an abusive man who continued to have her watched at all times, yet she is one of the strongest females she took her chance running obtained a new identity, extremely caution/ independent life has forced her to be will do everything /anything to keep her son safe and when a stranger, yet sexy man washes ashore she is hesitant to help but something about him draws her to him. Sabatino sexy as get out lost at sea after an altercation on a boat he washed up at the end of the beautiful women property with a gash on his head, an expensive suite, a bullet proof vest speaking of his ruthlessness, yet he is dangerous, ruthless when needed, and will do what is needed to protect those he loves especially after losing someone he loved it made him very protective but washing up with amnesia. The moment he see the women who saved him the magnetic pull between them couldn’t be denied or ignored but both are caution especially with her son at the fore front of her mind but the pull just keeps getting stronger getting to see past all obstacles but will danger come for the two of them, will he protect her, will his memory come back enough to bring out the darkness that lives insides, will her ex. come looking and can they find something more than a rescue?

This was a complex story based on the criminal world where rules were meant to be broken. The gripping narrative sets the tone for another Mafia-themed book with substance, danger, brutality, angst, and a second chance of love. The theme of violence and its consequences paints a grim picture of how it affects not only the two main characters but society in general. The story starts in Virginia and moves to Baltimore. This story is about two broken souls, one needing to remember his past and the other praying to forget. The sexual tension was palpable, and the punishment was well deserved.
Charity only felt terror and fear from her ex and had created a new life for herself and her son. She was on the run from evil, and I felt her fear. She was so strong yet fragile, always looking over her shoulder. Finding a man washed up on the shore triggered danger warnings, but what was she to do? I loved how she was trying to rebuild her past after such trauma. She came out the other side, not willing to let go.
Despite Sabatino having no memory, he soon took control. Charity became his addiction. There is a fine line between hate and love and good and evil, and he was teetering between the two. His near-death experience didn't stop his libido from going into overdrive. Sabatino was a complex man with a tragic past that left him bitter and dangerous, but he was willing to love again. I loved how well he treated Dillon and his dog. He was so protective and a man of many layers. His knowledge of danger and the criminal world helped him keep those he loved one step ahead of danger.
There were so many layers that added complexity to the storyline. There So many serious issues were addressed in this book, but it was also about second chances and finding love again.

Charity/Georgia has escaped a deranged level of abuse at the hands of her ex fiancé. With the help of an unknown woman, she has begun a new life and is determined to never let herself get in that position again. Unfortunately, things don’t always work out the way we want them to.
I thought the beginning of the book was very good. The story and the way the author wove it was intriguing and had me glued to the pages. The backstory for the MC didn’t really come in to play as much as I thought it would. There was definitely mentions of it as the story went on, but it was barely Mentioned. it would affect the character more, but that wasn’t the case. Of course, the FC history was the main focal point of the story.
I am on the fence about their love story. I haven’t read mini mafia romances, so I am not sure if this is the norm but I did not like the fact that he actually scared her and seemed to be fine with it. It didn’t seem like there was too much of an emotional connection. It was all sexual. I’m a little confused at how we got to the point where they loved each other but the spice was OK I guess lol.
Like another reviewer mentioned, it did feel anti-climactic in the end. The confrontation with the big bad seemed to be very quickly done with. Then the traitor was dealt with very quickly. It also seems that he was found very easily as well. I will give it points on is that I had no clue who the traitor was until the very end. It had to be revealed to me. I was unable to guess it. So for that, I raised it another star to four stars .

I thought the beginning of the book was very good. The story and the way the author wove it was intriguing and had me glued to the pages. The backstory for the MC didn’t really come in to play as much as I thought it would. There was definitely mentions of it as the story went on, but it was barely Mentioned. it would affect the character more, but that wasn’t the case. Of course, the FC history was the main focal point of the story.
I am on the fence about their love story. I haven’t read mini mafia romances, so I am not sure if this is the norm but I did not like the fact that he actually scared her and seemed to be fine with it. This mafia romance has an interesting and captivating twist that has the our leading man in an unfortunate situation that adds intrigue to this REMARKABLE story. Getting lost in this book is so fascinating, with so many twist and turns, emotional and spicy moments. I was deeply consumed by Sabatino and Georgia’s INCREDIBLY EXHILARATING story.

Georgia finds an injured man on her beach. Should she trust him? Could her past be coming back? I have to say that we start off learning about Both Charity aka Georgia and Sabatino. Saba was once a loving man till fate took something from him. Now he is given a second chance. For Georgia, she has made a success of her life but is always looking over her shoulder. I have to say that she defiantly turned her life around and is a fighter. She is protective and will lay down her life for what is most precious to her. Sabatino changes and I believe for the better. He always was a driven man. Now he has more to protect and something that is priceless. We see his change and even his family notices. I wasn’t too happy about his plan though. Rico Garcia is crazy. When you read what he has done, you too will want him gone. The passion that Georgia and Sabatino is intense. I was shocked at what happened but at the same time not surprised. So much for loyalty. And we have a new member for the Brotherhood.

This was such a good mafia romance if you love a man that is ruthless & doesn’t shy away from giving punishments when needed especially to his sweet little peach then Sabatino DiMaggio is your man. After a tragic loss he became an even more powerful & ruthless ruler over his territory, taking no excuses when it came to crossing his path, but after a hard hit he finds himself on the shore of Smith Mountain looking into the eyes of someone that would soon become his obsession. Charity now known as Georgia is a true fighter especially when it came to fighting for her life & her unborn son in a awful & abusive relationship with Rico Garcia, once she finally got a start on a new life for herself & started her new career in becoming an author, she never expected to that saving the man that washed up on her property would bring her back into the dangerous world she ran away from. The steam & tension between these two was hot & she loved the dominance that Sabatino gave her because even from her awful past she craved it & only Sabatino could give it to her. When all the memories were back that’s when things got pretty interesting & conclusions were coming because there had been snitch among the men. When everything came to the surface I was a bit shocked, but don’t worry Sabatino took care of the little rodent problem. Through the ups & downs there is definitely a happy ending even with the awful things that happened with their past, I throughly enjoyed these two very much.

Charity was manipulated and treated abusively by an ex-boyfriend. Georgia was a fake name when she escaped and became a writer continued with her writing career she bought a house by the waterfront and that's when she pulled a body out of the water, now stunned by his beauty with blonde hair and very well built. She was looking at the injuries and noticed he wore a bulletproof vest, when he woke she looked after him. The chemistry was hot with a bit of kinks between them he loved spankings, and she had shown him feelings he had only ever had one night stand. When Sabatino went back home he felt lost so he took Georgia and her son and also the dog he took them to his place saying that she needed protection, and now she is locked up again luckily she understood. Piper Stone does not disappoint! I am excited that Piper Stone continued the Brotherhood series! This follows Sabatino DiMaggio and Georgia (Charity) Ingalls. Charity was in an abusive relationship and was on the run – she left the city and changed her name and looks. She was always looking over her shoulder and afraid her ex would find her one day and finish what he started. Sabatino is a Mafia Don and ends up with amnesia and washing up on the shore of Smith Mountain Lake where Georgia now lives. Something about Sabatino peaks Georgia’s interest, knowing that this could lead to nothing but trouble. Memories come back to Sabatino slowly, and Georgia ends up kicking him out when he crosses the line. Something about Georgia changed Sabatino and he vows to protect her, Dillon (her son) and Max (the dog).

A wonderful read, great characters and plot that you’ll thoroughly enjoy every moment of
Charity needs to escape her abusive fiancée if she fails to escape, to change her identity and to reestablish a home for herself and a new life where she was keeping herself to herself in her small lakeside cabin.
Living in the cabin with her young son she is startled to discover that a man has been washed up on the lakeside, the man has no memory of his identity and is unaware that he is bringing back terrible memories for the woman that found him.
Sabatino knows that he has to protect Georgia and Dillon safe at all costs, however he knows that if Rico ever discovers they are alive they will be his weakness. They are both falling in love with each other however if they are going to have a future, they have to be honest with each other.
This is an action filled drama that is filled by intrigue, suspense, betrayal and I guarantee that you will be totally captivated by this simply wonderful story.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

This might be viewed as a biased review and the reason is because Piper Stone is one of my favorite authors and I have never read one of her books that I did not love. That being said, the moment this book began, I was absolutely addicted! Georgia, the female character has been hiding out in a new city for almost four years after escaping her abusive fiancé who left her with horrible nightmare memories, a scared body and the most precious gift possible, her son Dillon. When her young son and his protective dog, Max find "something" in the trees and bushes on the edge of her waterfront home, she is shocked to find the most handsome man she has ever set eyes on semi-conscious and injured. While she believes she knows that his name is Sabatino because of something she found in his clothing, he is unable to remember much about how he is and how or why he ended up on the edge off a lake. It is revealed that there is no such thing as a coincidence, and we start to see how their lives have been unknowingly tied together in some way or the other for many years. Will Sabatino turn out to be Georgia and Dillon's savior or another monster they need to escape from?.

Georgia (Charity) has escaped a very dangerous situation with a psychotic man who would have killed her but she uses her knowledge of his bad deeds to be able to become a "new person" in hiding. Sabatino has had the tragic loss of his wife and has become hardened and cold in his business dealings in the mafia. He is chasing someone who is trying to encroach on his business and ends up being shot on a boat and falling overboard. He is saved by Georgia's dog and son and she takes him in to help him. He has no memories of who he is and during his time with her becomes a more caring (if hotly possessive) man. Once he remembers who he is, he ends up taking Georgia and her son hostage (or as he sees it protecting them) from the psychotic ex who also happens to be the one he is after. Georgia is a strong woman and pushing him to be the man she knows he can be as he fights it and tries to be the person he had become after the loss of his wife. Helper of Big Bad is predictable as it seems to become in this author's stories but this story is good and fun and steamy. Interested in how the rest of the series will unfold.

In my opinion this book is a very action packed, engaging mystery adventures book that’s extremely exciting and hard to put down! From the beginning things are somewhat intense for both the characters and readers as we start to get to know them which everything that occurs pull on my heartstrings. They are very strong characters along with independent I can’t believe all the stuff that happens from betrayal, kidnapping, and much more. I love how much fight the main girl character has to in to do whatever necessary to keep her sweet son safe and the very precious dog. The main guy character is someone who you don’t want to be on his bad side lol I am really happy with this story there is so much I loved about it but don’t want to give away anything. Just know not everything is as it seems including people. I’m very impressed with story telling there are plenty of steamy scenes, suspenseful moments, tragic pasts, shocking answers. And don’t worry feisty moments to between the two headstrong characters along with cute moments too. Some of the book felt fast paced too I’m very happy with the ending a great book to start another amazing series!. Friends to lovers/enemies to lovers themes man I love mafia books!
