King Brandon

Rate this book
Brandon and Majesty's marriage is forced into strain once Missus Brandon Jefferson feels the need to crowd her free time with extra work, and the attention of her co-workers and friends, not realizing that her husband is being neglected by it all. That one event sparks a rage for Brandon and he's forced to give his wife an ultimatum. Unfortunately, Trevor refuses to go away once he reappears from the shadows, and ugly skeletons start to fall from hidden closets as his previous devious plans unfold, as scheduled.

Power Attorney Shamara Dawson has saved Brandon's hide from trouble twice before, and is called to his aid in the middle of Trevor's schemes, but is paid with more than a gracious salary for her work and efforts. But will it last between the two when she begins to doubt the statues of their relationship- pointing out every strong factor Mister and Missus Jefferson has that would triumph over all else, and open Brandon's eyes to see why it is they can't be together?

Meanwhile, Brandon's twenty-four year friendship with best friend Junior is put on the chopping block when Junior and his wife decide to call it quits after a four year marriage. Junior's life spirals out of control, leaving Brandon to have to constantly throw on his imaginary cape to save him.

Majesty's mistakes add up in this final installment, and all she wants is peace from the chaos she believe she's caused. She is put in the middle of a bitter custody battle between her son's fathers, facing divorce, and possible termination from her job and the loss of a license from her career.

Mama Clare and old Uncle Scooter have to step into this situation as it unfolds, but both learn that they have more of their own similar problems to finally dish to Brandon, and come clean about a few things that were never told of how he came to be.

After it all, Brandon has to keep focused and remember what it is he learned from Uncle Scooter; that "a man has difficult choices to make, but he makes them for the sake of his family. Family comes before all else. Without them, you're nothing." Hopefully he can forgive Majesty and her mistakes, and the chaos that was thrown into their marriage, that released a domino affect of events in the process, and reclaim his throne as King of his castle, and all he surveys.

Sunny Sunny Sunny... Where do I begging with this book? I cried, laughed, screamed, & cursed at my iPad while reading. A good book is supposed to tap into those emotions. That's all I can really say w/o giving away the plot. Dope read and I definitely recommend it.

This book here had me all the way in my feelings lol. "King Brandon" picks up a few years after "My First Love:Hard Endings" by Sunny Giovanni. I'm not going to give much away but I will say expect the unexpected because Sunny Giovanni definitely came with the twists this book!

I finished "King Brandon" in about a day and a half. The characters were well developed and the story line flowed. This book had me going through a wide range of emotions. 5 stars.

Brandon is very immature and abusive. He does not know how to treat a woman, he is abusive and self righteous. He still acted liked a thug.
