I graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 2004 with a BFA in illustration, my love of cartooning and comics has led me to where i am today.
I've done licensed work for DC, Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic, Fraggle Rock and more. I love being a nerd, so being able to draw nerdy things for a living is the best thing ever.
I'm married to the best guy ever. Ryan keeps me grounded.
I have a daughter, Grayson, who is my booger-y little destroyer of worlds.
I like my cats... a LOT. ...Our dog isn't too bad.
I live in a state shaped like a mitten.
The constant support of my family, pets, friends, and even complete strangers, is what drives me to succeed in art. Thank you everyone, because of you, I am what I am.
I find My little Pony books and programmes, to be a source of comfort, and this is probably because they are so nostalgic for me. I loved the ponies as a child, and that adoration has never really left. This volume was spilt into two stories. If I'm honest, the first story was a little flat, but the second was much better. The art in these stories is underrated, and the characters are wonderful. This wasn't my favourite volume, but it had my awesome ponies in, so that made the experience so much better!
The amount of detail that goes into this comics is amazing. If you look closely you not only find an adventure of the mane six in the first story but you also learn in the second story how Vinyl Scratch got her cutie mark and that is just the greatest thing. I always love when the producers focus on the other ponies in Ponyville and when we learn more about our beloved characters like Cherilee or Dr Hooves.
The first story with Big Mac was solid. You could really imagine the crowded market and him searching for nails^^ everything that could go wrong, went wrong but it was a great day for him after all.
The second story was great too although it was at times too much of a 90s cliche for me. Of course Cadance lives Shining Armor and of course everything went right for Buck Düring the Polo game but it was great to learn more about Cadance and Shining Armor. They’re great secondary characters and with their child in the tv series now, things are about to get very interesting 😊

Obsessed with these comics I loved seeing shining armor and princess cadences love story and seeing more of Big Mac this was def a filler but so fun nonetheless
I do think Big Mac is an interesting character, but for some reason, I could not enjoy this volume as much as the first couple. It was neat to get inside his head a little, though. I enjoy it when more attention is given to side characters every now and again!
Princess Candance and Shining Armor's backstory was pretty cute.
Side note, if this volume was mostly about Big Mac, why does the cover look the way it does?
I just love these books so much. One of my favorite things includes finding the references to our world. This volume has so many fun 80s music references.
This volume contains two stories. One I liked, and one I didn't.
The first has Big McIntosh as the main character. He is not having a good day. All that a simple gazebo repair needs are nails, except there are none, so Big Mac sets off to the hardware store, but he constantly gets interrupted and has to do side quests. I enjoyed this story.
The second one, not so much. It's high school romance drama nonsense. Eh. I guess the average girl enjoys those types of stories. The nerd guy gets the girl who's way out of his league—in every way! It seldom happens the other way around, though.
In My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Volume 3: Big Mac needs to buy nails from the hardware store, but going across town ends up becoming an Odyssey-like adventure; the story of how Shining Armor and Princess Cadance met and fell in love is revealed in a fun 80s flashback sequence entitled "Neigh Anything".
I'm not gonna lie: this series is strangely addictive. I'm officially a Brony. Please don't judge...
Big Mac's adventure was great. I loved seeing his thoughts especially on the rest of Ponyville's residents. Shining Armor and Princess Cadence's high school love story is so sweet and fun. Filled with awesome 80s references too. This book was pretty amazing.
Unlinke vol 1 and 2 which were awesome, vol3 is extremely boring for my 5 years old daughter. She was disappointed because there was no dark evil entities to fight in this volume.
cute! i've got this on my bookshelf and that's why i'm rating it but honestly, i've grown out of my mlp phase so i don't really care anymore. both stories are sweet and i love that shining armor was a loser, because that fits him sooo well.
This volume was a lot of fun. We got to hear stories from Big Mac, Cadence, and shining Armor. It was cool to see through their eyes cause they don’t show up in the show as much.
Ugh I got a huge crush on Big Mac🤣❤️ He’s one of my fictional boyfriends 😭 I also loved reading Shining Armor and Princess Cadence’s story on how they first got together! Such a cute read.
This was hard to rate because I was really bored with Big Mac's story in the first half, but the Candace/Shining Armor story is one of the most entertaining comics I've seen, full of adorable nods to '80s references that I really appreciated. Shining Armor and his buddies are AMAZING and I'd love to see more of them.
