DNF at 50%

I tried, really, I honestly did. Unfortunately, I had to cut my losses before I threw my kindle at the wall.

I'll refrain from rating it since I never finished.

Now for those that are easily offended, I recommend you avert your eyes from this review, because this might be a slight rant.

You've been warned!

What initially attracted me to the book was the description of Slade:
attorney by day and a cocky, foul mouth playboy by night. All girls want Slade Long, but not one has ever been able to keep his attention for long. Having a different woman in his bed every night is how he prefers it-no emotion, no connection.

Yes, I have a certain weak spot for foul-mouthed playboys. But Slade did not deliver on the promise.

Slade is a successful criminal attorney and a complete asshole when it comes to women (I also have a slight weakness for the assholes. What? They're hot! Whatever! Don't judge me)
Yet here we have this ultimate playboy that jumps from woman to woman getting obsessed with a girl he has never even met, all from hearing her voice on a phone.

Right then. Ok. Sure. Moving on...

Sam. Oh poor little naive Sam. She irritated me to no end. She is dating a guy for 8 mo, Jax. However, Jax and her have been having problems lately. He isn't as attentive to her, and would rather go out and party then spend time with her. (red flag, maybe?)
So when Jax calls her to inform her that he will be going to a party at the house of the most infamous playboy in town, Slade, she tries to brush it off. Then when he's still not home by 4 am, she gets worried. Why you ask? Well because what if he's hurt or gotten into an accident somewhere? Really!

She calls Slade to check on her boyfriend. Slade, being complete captivated by her voice, feels the need to leave the chick in his bed and go check on Sam's boyfriend. When he walks in and sees him in bed with another girl, he doesn't tell Sam, since he doesn't know what their situation really is, he doesn't feel it right to get involved in the middle of a problem between 2 people that are ultimately strangers to him.

Sam finally learns that Jax is cheating on her, when she catches him in the act. But then when she finds out that Slade knew and didn't tell her, she gets mad at him. I really couldn't wrap my mind around that. Right, makes perfect sense in blaming a complete stranger for not wanting to get involved in your personal drama.

This was a case of almost insta-love, which I just cannot stand in books.

Slade went from womanizer to wanting a relationship with Sam in the blink of an eye. Oh and he was pretty much in love with her after 3 days together. It just didn't seem realistic at all.

Then there was Slade's little habit of referring to Sam as "Angel". This gets OBNOXIOUSLY repetitive. He calls her that every other sentense. I'm all for endearments, but that's ALL he calls her. This doesn't happen mearely when he speaks to her, oh no! She's referred as Angel in descriptive sentences too.
Angel reaches down for her purse on the floor.

It was always Angel this and Angel that..
"Do you know what I want?" I ask Angel.

"I need to kiss you, Angel"

GAH!

Slade also had a habit for apologizing for EVERYTHING at EVERY turn. Which drove me ALMOST as crazy as his "angel" habit.

Sam, I'm pretty sure had a drinking problem. The girl would drink by herself as she was getting ready. And I'm not even talking a glass of wine here. I'm talking pretty much almost drunk by the time she actually went out.
I'm on my third glass and my second outfit. The more I drink, the sexier my outfit gets.

Every time she got pissed or upset, she would drink, and keep drinking, and then drink some more.

Half the time I wanted to reach through my kindle and smack some sense into the girl. The other half I just wanted to throw my damn kindle at the wall.

The book seemed drawn out, and I kept losing more and more interest the more I read. I couldn't connect with the story or the characters at all. The hero and heroine came off as shallow and two-dimensional. Finally when I got to the 50% mark and was still bored out of my ever loving mind, and still felt like I wanted to beat both the hero and heroine, I knew I had to cut my losses.

Suddenly I'm feeling a need for a few glasses of wine myself

"I’ve come to find falling in love is easy. It’s getting the person you love to love you back just as much that’s hard because no two people love the same!”

This was a really sweet and touching book written from alternate POV's

Sam moves her life to be with her boyfriend Jax, a first class douche bag whom she catches cheating on her.

Broken hearted Sam must move on.
When she bumps in Slade, the manwhore she has no idea that she's spoken to him before.

Slade is a badboy and this badboy wants Sam aka Angel. His angel.

Its sort of insta love but its super sexy the way they hook up.

However Sam was afraid to commit to Slade and her insecurities were somewhat irritating at times.

Don't get me wrong, I looked passed this because Slade is just amazing and after what happened to Sam her actions were warranted.

I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for a sweet and steamy read!

I had a roller coaster of emotions writing this book. It was not an easy journey, but it was WORTH it. I can't wait for the world to read Samantha and Slade's story. :) I hope that you love them as much as I do. This is just the FIRST book in the Undescribable series. They will all revolve around Slade and Samantha as the main characters. I have half of book two written and have a deadline for it to be out before Christmas.

I want to thank everyone who is taking the time to read the ARC's. I am getting amazing feedback and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to everyone who plans on reading it as well. This book would not be possible without all of you readers out there. I love each and every one of you and your support means the world to me.

I have been anxiously awaiting Undescribable for months now… Thanks to getting to know Shantel and hosting her blog tour. I have to say for a debut novel… It is on fire…like smoking, blazing, gonna take 25 firetrucks to put out those flames…and that’s putting it lightly

Samantha Hall is one strong young lady, she is independent and has started fresh. What she doesn’t know is how much her life can change with someone’s wrong decisions… for the better.

Slade is a lawyer by day and cocky playboy by night. He doesn’t want a relationship with a woman… That’s just not necessary…. Until he hears an angels voice on the phone… His life is forever changed in that moment. I honestly felt like a fly on the wall during that moment within the book… His face had to have been priceless! (At least it was in my mind!)

One aspect of this book I <3 was how everyone was connected… Even before Samantha and Slade met… She was a part of his family. In fact, the Long family in itself makes you feel welcomed as well… Just like you belong there. I can honestly see Vivian welcoming me in for a glass of wine!

This book is H-O-T!… And it starts out that way. Shantel has done a phenomenal job at describing every detail within the storyline. You can picture exactly what is going on… Locations, dress, people, background noises, and even the most minor detail doesn't go unnoticed. She makes you feel as if you are part of the story… Sitting back and watching.

Like I said before, this book is on fire, hot, and will leave you wanting more. There were multiple times while reading…. I was thinking hot damn!!! These two characters are perfect for each other… If they will not worry about their hearts breaking into a million pieces.

Don't think that this book is just a hot, steamy romance… it's not… It has a storyline that is real, it will have your heart breaking, twisting, and screaming because you can truly understand Samantha… as well, as how much someone can love another wholeheartedly… And when it breaks it's undescribable!

I can only keep my fingers cross that this story doesn’t end here… I have to know what happens in the next chapter for Slade & Samantha… Or maybe Josh & Courtney!! Either way I want more!

4.5 stars at 24% I wanted to put this aside because I was not feeling it at all. I stuck with it and in the end I am very happy that I did. Hence the 4.5 stars.

I had a hard time getting into this one in the beginning. Just could not seem to connect with the characters at all. Then about 30 % in something changed and I was connected completely with the characters and had to finish reading it to see what was going to happen with Slade and Samantha.

Samantha Is broken hearted and moves to a new City to get her life back on track. She takes a job as a bartender and has a couple people that she calls friends and trusts. She realizes all to soon how one person's wrong decision has changed her life forever.

Samantha is strong, she is independent, she can be rude when she needs to be, and we see that when she meets Slade for the first time.

Slade swoon worthy for sure, but Man-whore who does not do relationships at all, that is until Samantha calls him one night looking for her Boyfriend and he falls in love with her voice. He says she sounds like an angel.

once the two of them meet Samantha is Rude at first, but then decides to give things a shot and see where they go. It is hard for Samantha to keep her distance and she is finding that her feelings for Slade are undescribable. Slade doesn't do relationships so all the feelings he is starting to have for Sam are hard for him to figure out. He has never felt like this for anyone before.

I love how the Long Family was already connected to Samantha and how they all treated each other with so much love and affection. It made you want to be a part of their family.

This book was Hot, And by the end I was wanting more and did not want it to end. I hope we get more from the other characters in the book with some nice cameo's of Sam and Slade mixed in there.

This was a good one!
This is the story of Slade, playboy/lawyer

He's a handsome 29 year old, loves being a lawyer and loves women. He's very upfront with them, he's only in it for the physical aspect, makes no promises or sweet talks to get what he wants. He doesnt have to. Women knowingly flock to him for a fuck. He has a best bud named Josh and a brother Micah.

This is my Samantha, aka "Angel"

She's a one man woman, who just happens to have a boyfriend, Jax, who doesnt quite share that sentiment. Sam and Jax met sophmore year in college, but she wouldnt date him until her Senior year. Sam has experienced loss in her life that has made her jaded. She lost her father and shortly after was basically abandoned by her mom. Jax gets a job in St. Louis and Sam moves there with him, from Dallas.

It doesnt take long for things to go downhill with Jax.

Slade and Sam's first "meeting" is on the phone. Slade is automatically interested in this girl, just by her voice alone. He has no idea who she is. (Sam is acutally friends with Holly, who is with his brother Micah.) Small world right?

Jax does something so dispicable and Sam walks away. She's financially independent, from money received after her fathers death. She doesnt need that jackass. She's college educated, but works as a bartender along side Holly. So how do you get over a douche bag? GET DRUNK!It seems Sam did a lot of that in the book.

Slade and Sam have a cat and mouse relationship. He's NEVER had a girlfriend. She's heard all his whore stories. And even when they go out somewhere, these skanks still approach him for sex! How's a girl soposed to feel about that?

It doesnt take long for Slade to realize the gem that is Sam. She's kind, thoughtful, and stunning. But she's also emotionally damaged. She likes Slade, but in her mind theres a ticking time clock of when he will walk away. So she does her best to keep her feelings to herself. What happens is they both fall in love. HARD.
Slade has never wanted to be with ONE woman, can he do it? Can he prove to her its the real deal? Sam has been damaged by her fathers passing, her moms abandonment, and Jax's betrayal. To her everyone leaves eventually. She doesnt know how to depend on anyone but herself. Slade and Sam are HOT together. It's the only time Sam completely gives herself to Slade. He's bossy, and demanding, and a dirty talker! Loved it!
Sam's mom comes back into the picture, and lets out a HUGE secret that sends Sam reeling. Slade is determined not to lose her. Sam finally realizes, life is too short. Time to put her big girl panties on and admit the truth.
This is a HEA, some things get a bit repetitive, but overall I think you will like Slade and Sam. Im hoping theres a book for Josh and Courtney. And maybe Holly and Micah. I do wish

I really liked this one. I especially liked Slade--he was super HOT and super yummy! The story was told in alternating POVs between Slade and Sam (aka Angel)--which I love. I think my only real complaint about the book would be the length. I found it to be a tad bit too long and therefore about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through I felt like things became repetitive.

Sam and Slade are our heroine and hero, respectively. Sam moved to town with her bf Jax. Over the last several months, Jax started partying without Sam--stays out all night--doesn't return her phone calls, etc. Sam eventually catches him bed with another chick and that's the end of Sam and Jax.

Meanwhile, Slade is out sleeping with pretty much every female on the face of the planet. Until he meets Sam. Slade's brother is Micah who's gf is Holly. Holly is Sam's BFF. Did you catch all of that? So...eventually Slade and Sam meet. And it's insta-love. Which surprisingly didn't get on my nerves too bad. :)

I think Slade really saved the book for me. He was perfect once he committed himself to Sam--which he did right away. He was the perfect boyfriend, despite never really being in a relationship before. Sam frustrated me at times.....she wouldn't commit 100% to Slade and was always insecure when it came to how she thought Slade felt about her. Even though, his actions didn't warrant her insecurity.

Slade and Sam were super HOT together. There was lots and lots of yummy sex. Plot wise not a ton happened--Sam has some issues going on with her mom that really came to head at the end of the book and set things up for the next book. This book didn't have a cliffhanger ending....but it was definitely more of a HFN. After the things that went down with her mom, I think Sam and Slade's relationship will be tested in the next book.

Overall, I did enjoy this one....despite my few complaints regarding the length and Sam's insecurities. Slade is most definitely one of my favorite book boyfriends.

Boom! Now that's how you do it! This is a great book with a HEA and no cliffhanger. What are you waiting for? Go! Read it now

That's how you write a book! Way to go Shantel Tessier!

You'll definitely want to 1-click this book and get to know Slade. He is swoon-worthy. Slade is everything I like in a playboy. He has lived his life screwing a new girl every night, weather it be in a bar bathroom, back booth, or back at his place. It's always a different girl, and never the same girl twice. That's how he likes it and none of the women seem to mind, all they care about is getting lucky enough to get their one night.

Then it all changes by the sound of a voice. Late one night Slade gets a phone call from a women named Sam that he doesn't even know, but something about their short conversation and her voice change him. No matter what Slade does he can't get Samantha off his mind. Then one night while out with his guys, he propositions her in a bar hallway, only to find out it's HIS Sam, his Angle. That's all it took.

From that night on Slade made it his mission to make Angel his. He changed his ways and did everything he could, but Sam wasn't having anything to do with him. Until she couldn't get him out of her mind or her heart...so she decides to give into their out-of-this-world chemistry and let him make her his. Slade goes total Alpha on Sam, and both of them love it and need it.

The story covers the drama that they deal with while getting to know each other...throw in some super awesome secondary characters and you have a kick ass story.

Want to know what happens to Slade and Angel? Please read this story...not only will you fall in love with Slade and Sam, you also fall in love with all their friends, who will hopefully all appear in the next story then each have their own ;)

Wow, wow, wow. I just finished this book moments before writing this review. I really didn't know how this book would play out. I was thinking sweet girl meets play boy. They jump in bed together and lots of drama. None of that, well sweet girl meets play boy did, but the rest, oh heck no. I guess there is drama, but it nothing like you would think.

Samantha Hall is one of sweetest girls I think I've read about in the past year. She is more concerned for others than herself. She is beautiful and rich, and she doesn't let that dictate her life. She finds out that her boyfriend of eight months is cheating on her. She could have been saved the heart ache of walking in on her boyfriend screwing a chick in their bed if Slade Long would have told her the truth the night before when she called him looking for her boyfriend Jackson.

Well Mr. Slade, sex on a stick, hotter than hell, yumminess, didn't. However, just hearing Sam's voice on the phone makes him feel something he never has felt before. He never has met Sam, but she is all he can think about. After some drama, the two finally meet, and Sam doesn't even give him the time of day.

I LOVE her. She has had a lot of crap thrown at her in her young life. And at the end of the book, it all comes together. GRAB the tissues! I was laying in bed crying towards the end. This book really hit home at the importance of family and how much love a parent has for their child (children).

I absolutely love the characters in this book. Slade's brother Micah, is the boyfriend of Sam's best friend, Holly. The closeness they have have is amazing. And they are always there for Sam. There is also Josh, who is Slade and Micah's friend. I can't forget about Vivian and Mark, Slade and Micah's parents, who knew Sam before Slade! Also, Sam's best friend from home, Courtney, is an amazing person to add to the mix. All the "main" character's are real and they just reach out and grab you with their personalities. I so wanted to hate Slade in the beginning, but he turned out to be an beautiful person. Yes, I described him as beautiful. The ending was sad ish, but I am so glad that Sam finally listened to and let herself be loved.

5 out of 5 stars. The sexual encounters are HOT! So hot, that you might need to change your undies! And I read this is a series... So many ways this can go... Just me conspiracy theorize... 1. The next book could be about Slade and Sam's next step in their relationship. 2. Micah and Holly's relationship. 3. Josh and ?? (I'm not spoiling that little tid bit!) budding romance. 4 Jax coming back... This book is tied up neatly at the end, so not cliff hanger, THANK YOU! But, there is room to go in a lot of directions! I can't wait!!!

4.5 Stars here.
Wow , I loved this book. I loved the heroine Sam. I loved the hero Slade. Hell, I loved the side characters. Everything about this book drew me in. The way they met, the relentlessness of the hero's pursuit, the fact the heroine didn't make him sweat too long to let him in and the fact that any angsty issues didn't get mixed up and cause unneeded strife between the two because they were not idiots!
I loved the the author didn't, like so many others, make these two turn into 15 year olds in school. She kept them with their heads straight and their relationship progressing. There were a few great damsel in distress moments and some AMMMAAZZING sex scenes.
Let's talk about those sex scenes, hmm? I mean, wow! They were perfect, descriptive and hot! It didn't turn into one of those that you actually just start skimming through the sex scenes because they're all the same. FannnnnfreakingTastic! Loved it!

Why not 5 stars you ask? A few things:
1) I do feel that there could have been a little more answered or somethings could have been a little more eventful with some of the directions the story took, I mean, why bring something up if it's not going to go anywhere? Like one girl slashing some tires. That's it? Just slashing some tires? That's not fun. I mean, have the bitch get crazy and start sending crazy notes, or stalking the heroine or take out a hit on them. Or the scene where it appears that maybe Sam was drugged at a bar. That's it? You're just going to say that maybe she was drugged and then....nothing? What? That made it Slade seem a little out of his possessive character to just let something like that roll of his back so easily.
2) There was the little issue with them not wanting to say the little ol' 4 letter word to each other. They both knew each other felt it for the other, but refused, REFUSED to say it. That just seemed a little out of character for these two who were so open with everything else with each other. But hey, we can't all be perfect can we?
3) I also felt like the ending kind of ended in a rush, not a bad rush, just a rush.
So would I recommend this book? Uh - hell yeah, haven't you just read my review? It's 4.5 star's ladies...what are you waiting for? This could be a 10 star book for you, don't let me keep you, get going! Move!

Aw, loved this book, strong showing at 4.5 stars!

Man whore Slade is a rich hot playboy used to getting what he wants with little to no effort. He gets his fix sexually but has never had a reason to need or want a relationship. The first several chapters of this book will have you cringing about his antics and questioning if he has any redeeming qualities. Stick with it though!

Sam aka Angel, is a sassy emotionally bruised woman who meets Slade at the end of a failed relationship with Jax. She knows his playboy ways and fights their attraction.

Thankfully chemistry conquers all and these two finally get together taking a risk on each other each of them tries to come to terms with.

What did I love? There are two points of view, both Slade and Sam, with Slade's we see his progression and personal growth from man whore to getting emotionally involved with someone and I loved that! Without it, would be much harder to find him redeeming without understanding what he overcame. The sexual tension and chemistry is off the charts, STEAMY sex scenes. Rare we get to enjoy the flourishing of a relationship. Most times tension builds up to when a couple gets together, not how things transpire after they do so. I really loved seeing this play out.

What wasn't so hot? How quickly each of their old flame drama left the picture, was expecting more drama and tiffs, bit smooth sailing. What happened to Sam's job? And lastly, bit disappointed at end, was a big climatic finish but not as much insight into how it what happened after, was dying for an epilogue (rest assured, no cliff hanger.)

Definitely potential for a sequel about Sam/Slade or one about Josh/Courtney. (*Pretty please!)

Kudos to this debut of Ms. Tessier's, count me as a big fan! :-)

This book made me ugly cry in the end. Like really badly ugly cry and that doesn't even make sense.

I loved the story though and how beautifully written it was. I loved how the author made me go from hating Sam's mom to her being my favourite character. Slade is insanely hot and an amazing book boyfriend. I'm still kinda reeling from reading this book so can barely articulate words to describe it but it as an amazing read and journey.

I strongly recommend that those of you who haven't read it yet begin to. :)

The playboy-turned-one-woman-man and the angel.

"The bottom line was that he cheated, and I left."
What really got me into the story early on was that I may or may not have cheated and been cheated on at some point. Let's put it this way: I personally can relate to Sam.

"Don’t worry, I get it, bros before hoes and all that stuff."

The worst part of being cheated on for sure is the fact that other people actually know about what's going on but they don't tell you. It messes with your ego, doesn't it? It makes you look stupid and you do feel stupid when you finally find out. But my point is, we can't be too hypocritical about "bros before hoes" because let's be honest, us girls tend to do the hoes before bros thing too when it comes to keeping our girlfriends' secrets.

"This is the first girl to make me want her just by hearing her voice. The first girl to make me apologize without knowing what for. And the first girl to make me beg, wanting to know what I did wrong."

Slade Long is your typical alpha playboy. He screws around bars and do the whole one night stand, I-can-get-any-girl-I-want thing. All his life, he hasn't found a reason to commit and have a girlfriend. But everything changes when he meets Samantha Hall or Angel to him.

"Because I don’t trust myself around you."

Samantha Hall is definitely my type of heroine. She's gorgeous, feisty and so independent. She stands up to Slade and doesn't go damsel in distress on him or anyone else for that matter even when she is cheated on by her college boyfriend, Jax.

What I really liked about Undescribable was that the story wasn't rushed. Sam and Slade didn't immediately have sex even with all that sexual tension between them. Sam also didn't turn soft on him right away unlike other books which probably would have made the girl swoon after just a few charming lines from the guy.

"She is with me. As in, she’s my girlfriend. Stay the fuck away from her. You seem to like her ass so much...did you see that little M on the ass pocket of her jeans? That M stands for mine."

The book also had a few laughs which I enjoyed and I liked how Slade's past was thrown in the mix but it wasn't overly done. Basically, the author focused more on their own insecurities than external factors (jealous girls, irked guys) as the main obstacles of their relationship.

"It’s not about just falling in love. It’s about falling in love every day, over and over again."

Most of all, I loved how simple the story felt to me. The characters were all friends and they genuinely liked hanging around each other. Although I initially thought of Josh as a bit of a douche in the beginning of the book, I ended up liking him a lot and I wish he'd be able to love again after his fiancee left him (I'm guessing he and Courtney will have their own story). Of course I loved Holly and Micah (who is Slade's brother) and how much they were very protective of Sam. I also thought it was cute that Sam was already friendly with Slade's parents even before they fell in love.

"I’ve come to find falling in love is easy. It’s getting the person you love to love you back just as much that’s hard because no two people love the same!"

I used to think that pet names like princess and angel corny but now I think they are adorable. I especially loved how Slade kept calling Sam "Angel" even when she was always being stubborn and not following him. My favorite part was when he wanted Sam to drive his truck rather than her 370Z. LOL.

"You came for me,” she continues sobbing.
“Of course I did, Angel.” I kiss her hair. “I belong wherever you are.”

Like the rating I'm giving it, it was just OK for me. I had some issues with the book and the biggest was the insta-love between the hero and heroine.

I just can't grasp how the most mythical playboy in town, who changes his sex partners like he changes his boxers; that is, daily, maybe even a few times a day; suddenly becomes obsessed with a girl only because of her voice and then, falls in love with her in a couple of days. I just don't get it. It is unrealistic and stupid. This guy, Slade -what kind of name is that?- goes from being a complete douchebag, who doesn't seem to have a lot of respect for women or himself (I honestly thought he had mommy and self-esteem issues), to a sweet teddy-bear who constantly apologizes and calls his new insta-love "Angel" when she presses his tummy.

Then we have our heroine, Samantha, who you imagine must be the most amazing woman ever... I mean, Slade constantly -to the point of boredom- repeats how perfect she is (and that she's all his, let's not forget that). Well, it didn't translate very well, because she came to me as naïve, kind of shallow and silly. Maybe it was her age, I don't know, or her obsessive love of all things pink... Guess she just wasn't a heroine I could empathize a lot with. She shows some strength, don't get me wrong, and I didn't hate neither her nor Slade. In fact, I think they had great chemistry and their interactions came as hot, but yeah, I became a little bit bored with them and, by 70% or something, just wanted the damn thing to be over but took me a while to actually finish it. That is because I lost interest.

Another thing that annoyed me was that, at the beginning, the book seemed to be constantly promoting brands like Dolce and Gabbana, Coach, Miss Me, Bose, etc, etc... it was boring and kind of snobbish. Also, how they described all the time what they were wearing wasn't my cup of tea. Instead of putting me inside their world, that distracted me from it. I prefer to have feelings rather than the physical world described.

Finally, the book needs a much better edition work.

The thing I liked the most, though, was how Slade wasn't a millionaire obsessed with BDSM... he was just discovering that side to him and I enjoyed that. I also liked Sam's history with her family, it was a good dramatic sub-plot. I really liked the secondary characters, specially Micah, Holly and Josh.

I don't know if I'll be reading the next book. I believe I'm actually done with Slade and Samantha. Like I said, I didn't hate the book or the story, I just found it a bit unbelievable and repetitive.

A great debut by author Shantel Tessier!

Undescribable is a really good read. This has tons of great thing going for it in my opinion and I will try to list the top ones for me:
♥ Samantha Hall: WOW! Sam is a great female character. She is so sweet and caring towards others, but at the same time she is very independent and strong. The author has very much succeeded in creating a complex female character who do not annoy the shit out of me. I understood her actions throughout the whole book and I wanted to encourage her to go for things rather than slap her. Which is rather rare for me to feel, haha, female characters tends to bring out the violent side of me.

♥ Slade: Damn it. He is that guy you really want to and actually ought to hate. He is the guy you would tell any girlfriends of yours to stay far away from because he reeks of heartbreak. He is the ultimate playboy and has slept with half of the female population on this earth. But then he meets his Angel, he does a 180 and in the end you just cannot help to fall for him yourself.

♥ The bi-characters: The other characters in this book are really intriguing. You just want to know more about them. Please let Josh get his own book! :)

♥ The twists and turns: The story might seem similar to a lot of other stuff out there, but hey, why change something readers obviously like to read? It has the ground pillars of most romance books, but it also has originality to the story with its twists. There are unpredictable moments in this one that I loved.

♥ No cliffhanger: Although the story of Sam and Slade is not finished, there is not a major cliffhanger in the end. I am left wanting to read more about them, but I do not need valium for the wait, which is a definite win for me.

If I had to pick a flaw in this book, I would pick Slade's 180. In the beginning it was hard for me to see how he could change his ways just from

Overall, I am happy to rate this with a solid 4.5 stars. This is a great read with a good story and I can happily recommend this to anyone.

Yep,you are not seeing things i just gave it 5 stars and im a picky SOB..Let me start by saying this i love an Alpha male but you throw one that is used to screwing anything that walks and likes to fight into the picture well then you had me at Chapter 1. I usually devour a book in a day but i dragged this one out just because i loved the characters and yes i said characters because they were freaking great.

Slade, Your such a self prickless asshole and i loved you the moment you tried to screw the girl at the bar.I wanted to dislike you but the moment you took on MR CLean i loved you. When you fall you fall and once you saw Angel you wanted nothing else and that is what i loved about you..

Samantha/Angel....What a kickass character you were so trusting after you saw Jax being a dick and to trust Slade after what you knew about him was awesome because you never lost faith..He loved hard and no matter how much you pushed away he always came pushing right back.

To get me to cry while reading a book is something new to me but the last part was very emotional and a little close to home but what never changed was that SLades love overcame everything..Well done Shantel you will definitely be on my watch list for future books.

The switch in POVS in this book was too frequent.
Sam's drinking became obnoxious. She would drink and then complain about drinking too much. She was a bit of an annoying heroine.
It was boring. Nothing happens besides what is in the synopsis.
Heroine's boyfriend cheats on her. The hero falls for the heroine. They get together. The End.

the mmc calls the fmc angel. the word angel appears 551 times in this 443 page book. that is on average 1.2 more angels per page than is socially acceptable.

4.5 stars reading! Complete review and Blog Tour here: http://sexandthebooks.wordpress.com/2...

Since the very first teaser of Undescribable I read, which happened to be the first chapter that Shantel sent me, I was HOOKED!
OMG, guys, Slade is a HOT male. I love his cockiness and the fact that he can be jerk-ish, but still has a heart. And what a…heart! LOL

Slade doesn’t do relationships, but with Samantha, or Angel as he call her (*swoons*) , it felt only natural to be in love with her. They fight like cats, but the attraction Sam feels for him is undeniable.

Slade is a layer by day and then he becomes a party boy at night, he doesn’t apologize for wanting sex and fun and he doesn’t hide who he is. But Sam has been burned by “love” not only by past relationships, but also by her mother, so for her is not easy to believe in love. She lives in the real world and not in fairy tales. The only problem is that the real world she knows is nothing but an illusion of real and she needs Slade to show her how to really live!

Slade…oh Slade! The sexy, foul-mouthed (I loooove his dirty mouth, it’s sexy as hell), bad-boy layer. He never had a girlfriend, so for him is difficult to deal with all he starts feeling for Sam, he’s jealous, possessive, violent…but he is also sweet, loving, caring and a great book boyfriend!!!
Slade first met Sam through the telephone and her voice just got him hooked. He couldn’t forget the sweet voice. But when he meets the body attached to the voice he is doomed. And he can’t stop acting stupid around his Angel, it’s funny and sweet!
When giving a chance to fate, Sam starts to open herself more and she is a great girl! I love her rantings, drinking (Wet Pussies – OMG, I laughed so hard at this drink’s name), love for football, fashion and her friends.

Right when you think all is getting settled in the story, something happens and we’re sucked into an emotional rollecoaster, but a worthy one for sure! I felt so bad for Sam and I can’t even imagine her pain towards the end of the story! I laughed a lot while reading Undescribable, but I also cried a lot, there were sad and emotional moments in the story, but all is worthy as I already said!
The story is told between Slade and Sam’s POVs and I liked the fact that we can see what pass in both of their minds. We can see Slade’s side of things and Sam’s side as well. Sometimes this can confuse the reader and it doesn’t work, but it’s not the case with this book. It was perfect to tell their story!

Undescribable is Shantel’s debut novel and I really can’t describe its greatness! This is a story about love, second chances and opening yourself for new experiences and life itself. And it also has Slade…Just Slade would have been enough for you to read this book, but Slade with a good story in the mix? You really can’t miss it!!!

I keep mentioning Slade, but the leading female in this book is just as great! Samantha is real and relatable and you can’t help liking her too! The other characters are also great! I love the fact that Slade’s mom is one of the girls!! I really can’t wait to see more of Slade’s best friend Josh. My heart broke for him, because he is suffering from being burned by love as well. I just hope Courtney (Sam’s best friend) can mend his broken heart!
The next book in this series can’t come soon enough!!!

After a very rough start (I’m sorry but reading a book in PDF format is pure torture!) this book ALMOST had me doing an ugly cry at the end. Where do I start with this book?!? Hmm...How about this book gave me my sexy alpha male, annoying and indecisive but still love her female, hard/tough love, STEAMY sex scenes and angst! Undescribable is book 1 of the Undescribable series by Mrs. Tessier. Slade Long (the sexy alpha!) is a successful lawyer by day but a true playboy and bad ass by night. Women basically fall at his feet and he can’t help but take any woman that does so. One night as he is about to do the horizontal polka with some random chick; he gets a phone call that will forever rock his world. The person on the end of that line is Samantha Hall. Sam is looking for her douche of a boyfriend that has left her basically on her own since they moved from Dallas, TX to St. Louis, MO. She finds out that her boyfriend maybe at one of Slade’s infamous parties and decides to give Slade a ring to see if that’s the case. When he hears her voice he is thrown for a loop and instantly smitten. His every waking moment since that phone seems to be about her. After finding out her boyfriend is unfaithful, Sam has sworn off men and wants nothing to do with them. When Slade and Sam FINALLY meet all bets are off. Slade wants her and truly isn’t taking no as an answer.

I have to say this book had me feeling all kinds of emotions. In the beginning I thought Slade was a sleaze ball. His view of woman before he met Sam was downright deplorable. It felt like he thought a woman’s only purpose in this world and his life were to serve his sexual appetite. Sam steps in knocks him on his ass. Boy did he do a 180 in this book. Sam is feisty yet self-doubting female that a lot of woman could relate to. She been through a bad breakup and now some manwhore wants to make her a part of his world and prove that she is his one and only, not the easiest thing to be positive about. Slade past always seem to play a doubt in her mind of whether or not Slade was truly capable of loving her whole heartedly and 100% completely. There were times I wanted to shake Sam and say, “Yo bitch! The man does love you and he wants you as his forever, will you PLEASE cut him some slack! Damn!” When I love books, like this one, I get a bit emotional, sorry!

The only downside I saw with this book was that it was very descriptive. I felt the author was giving me too much too soon and kind of lost me in spots. Which I found had me skipping some pages. No big whoop. The story in itself was a crazy emotional rollercoaster. I just love those. The second book “Unbearable” is due out (keeping my fingers crossed) by the New Year. I can’t wait to see where Mrs. Tessier takes Slade and Sam next. Oh and before I forget, these two are HOT in the bedroom. Some of the scenes are just pure scandalous. Love it. Out of a 5, I’m giving this book a 4. Very good read.

Wow!
This debut novel is just break taking literally! the storyline made me experience every emotion possible and I connected with the characters instantly.

The novel begins as we learn about Samatha 'Angel' Hill and her relationship of 8 months with a guy named Jax. Her relationship is suffering, Jax party's till early hours in the morning, they have no sex life and Jax doesn't communicate at all when he is home. one night Jax doesn't come home leaving Sam worrying about his safety therefore seeks information on his where abouts only to discover he attended a party of a well known Ladies Man named Slate Long. Micah Long brother of Slate who is dating Sam's best friend and co worker Holly gives Sam the contact information she needs to locate her boyfriend. so she calls him...

Slate Long, Lawyer by day play boy by night. he doesn't date, never had a relationship and only has one night stands receives a phone call from a girl who's voice he can't get out of his head even though she's attached but feels the need to help her and located her boyfriend to discover he's in bed with another woman and as slate is against cheating he still doesn't tell her he's with another woman, however the day after Sam catches her boyfriend having sex in her bed with the same woman and breaks up with him.

Slate and Sam's paths come together and discover chemistry, attraction and so much sexual attention however Sam hold a lot of insecurities and issues that prevent her from allowing her true feelings but slate never gives up since he can't get her out of his head.

I can't say enough how much I loved this book. I loved the storyline. the characters. the Dialogue and most of all the steamy scenes which happen ALOT!
I can't recommend this enough, READ THIS!

p.s anyone who have read this novel... is there going to be another book? although there was no cliff hanger, there was no epilogue either and because of how it ended I feel it's just not finished with their story.

EDIT: Book 2 'Unbearable' Slate and Sam's story continues...

Undescribable is one of those books that grabs you right from the beginning and never lets up causing you to miss everything and anything surrounding you. Lord I was a bad girl and started reading it at work and read all day long when I was supposed to be working but I said to hell with that I need to keep reading and that is what I did until I finished it. Have you ever loved someone only for them not to love you back the way you deserve to be?

Samantha needs a new beginning in her life. She is heart broken and decides to move to a new city and try and move on. She is guarded and takes a job as a bartender which she loves. The whole fresh start and move on is going good until she meets Slade Long. Lord Slade is the epitome of man whore. He is smart, sexy and can have anyone he wants but the one thing about Slade is he does not do relationships. He does one night stands, chew and screw nothing more and everything less. Lord he refuses to get tore up from the floor up by any girl no way not happening. He reminds me of this song named Bad by Wale in the lyrics it says I will be bad to you but I will be good to you in bed, Is it bad that I never made love but I sure know how to F^&%!

So when Slade meets Sam lord his heart does something it has never ever done and he can't place it because it is a feeling he does not do. But the heart wants what it wants and it wants Sam. So Slade sets out to show Sam that not all guys are bad and he wants to give her everything and anything her heart desires. But How can Sam believe him when he was a man whore taking and never giving? Will Slade prove himself worthy? Will Sam open up her heart again or will she dismiss him? This book has so many ups and downs lord I laughed and I cried and I was yelling at my kindle at one point! This is a must must must read!

Ok, so this review will be hard for me because yes I liked the story, yes I liked the characters, mainly Slade, and yes I liked the hotness, but i was annoyed with the constant apologizing. I wanted Slade to be the bad ass he was and not apologize for it!

I also have some confusion into the directions of the story. There were times i felt like the story didnt flow. I was re-reading sections making sure i didnt miss something because I wasnt sure if the scene was important or if there was going to be something that would later come from it, i.e the weird drunk encounter at a bar that led to a missing Slade and a drunk Sam waking with no recollection? why would he leave her alone, or did he? and was Sam ruffied? how was this even important?

Also, I kind of felt like there were parts that were dragged out and a bit repetitious. The sex was hot and i didnt mind reading it, but i get kinda bored with the in between...shopping, baking, "baby" calling, wine drinking...was she a lush?, lol. Sam was a hot mess and she was only strong when she was engaging in physical activity with Slade, outside of the bedroom she kinda annoyed me. Then there were also parts that were important and just too fast...5 yrs without her mom and that whole relationship is summed up in just 2-3 pages. Too final for me.

Ok, that being said I am not saying I didnt enjoy this. I just had some issues. I am thankful for the lack of cliffy!!!!

I THINK MY JUDGEMENT IS BEING AFFECTED BY THE AMOUNT OF TEARS IM SHEDDING RIGHT NOW.

First few pages for me were like this
description
Slade was introduced and he was the typical dominant, cocky, didn't give a flipping fuck heroin and I LOVED IT

Then there was the chemistry and the sexual frustration
description

Then everything was perfect and everyone was happy
description

Then the last chapters for me were literally like this
description
ALL THIS SHIT WENT DOWN AND MY HEART JUST EXPLODED

Overall, it was a great book. Easy read with lovable characters. It made me laugh, cry, giggle, and jump up in glee! Slade and Sam are easy to love and so easy to cry over. LOVED HOW SIMPLE IT WAS

The saying goes that you should never want what someone else has unless you are willing to do and go through what that person went through to get it (ok, so not exactly said that way, but you get my point).

Samantha Hall does not lead an enviously life in my eyes (at least most of it, sheesh). Her boyfriend is a grade A asshole, her father passed away and her mother wants nothing to do with her.

Now, in a new city by herself Samantha is not only learning to stand on her own completely, but she is also learning to TRUST herself and heal. Samantha’s fist MEETs Slade “I’ve had sex with every woman in this town” Long while he is trying to have sex with another woman in a bar bathroom his line to Samantha? “I want to lose myself between your legs, as I taste you, until you come on my tongue while you scream my name”. smooth Slade…

Slade definitely has a challenge on his hands and what a challenge it is (or maybe isn’t).

HEA is indeed included.

This book had a lot of potential and I was really disappointed with how it ended. The start of the book was very funny, had a strong storyline and I was loving the dynamic between Slade & Sam. But somewhere in the middle towards the end the book lacked direction and the storyline got boring and even I felt that the characters lost the spark! Another issue I found with this book was the poor editing! I'd be reading something that didn't make sense. The author had used the incorrect grammar or the word was spelt incorrectly. I wouldn't recommend this book purely to the fact that you will be disappointed! The editing alone will drive you crazy!

A lot of drinking, sex and crying. With some drama thrown in for fun. I loved it. Cant wait to read more from this author. Josh and Courtney need their own book. Would also like to read Holly and Micah's story. Not a cliffhanger.
