The Constitution is being talked about more now than it has been for a long time. Unfortunately, most of us don't really know much about it and most books are either highly partisan or too detailed. (You don't need to know a ton of legal case history to understand what the Constitution says.) This book is different. This book is for average people who want to understand what the Constitution says and some of the historical reasons for that. Highly conservative and highly liberal reviewers during the editorial process helped ensure it is non-partisan, as rare as that is. The US Constitution is compared throughout to a computer operating system (OS). For example, neither the President nor PowerPoint do much alone, but both are powerful ways to present information, persuade people, and lead. One way the author kept her own views out was to put in lots of question sets for the reader to think about. They are deliberately written to range from conservative to liberal so readers can reach their own conclusions. Those questions also make it a great resource for students, including homeschoolers. Although the original intent was for adults who want to understand our Constitution, the book covers all the Standards of Learning related to the Constitution for Virginia (considered the best in the nation) to ensure all the important concepts are covered. If you buy the e-book, it is enhanced. There are literally hundreds of links to longer descriptions of computer concepts, source documents for quotes, and much more.
Liz writes what she wants to buy but cannot find. This end result is that her books can seem very random. What is the connection between wedding planning, zombies, Cub Scouts, and the US Constitution? Only (as far as anyone knows) Liz's interest.
Right now, she is working on another Cub Scout book and two zombie books - one full length, one shorts.
