As an author who writes a series, I know how tough it is to continue the storyline from previous books while allowing new readers to enjoy the latest book as a stand-alone. Julie Bergman nails this skill! The Fatal Vengeance is proof. I’ve read #1 in the series and now #4 and her narrative is seamless.
Just when Evelyn “Mac” McGregor thinks she might get a chance to recover from her latest adventure, her boyfriend is whisked away on criminal charges. Mac refuses to believe her lover is guilty and begins a quest to clear his name. Then things get complicated.
5-stars to another Bergman thriller that promises to keep you up all night. I read this in a day!

Great, multi-faceted characters. Suspenseful and interesting plot. Vivid descriptions. A REALLY great read! Can't wait for this series to continue!!!

good book
Im not usually fan of the genre but I found myself enjoying this book. The author did a great job with story. Though could have been formatted a little better.

Sergeant Evelyn’s life isn’t easy right now. Full of danger, suspense and secrets. Will she figure everything out before her life is on the line. Can’t wait for the next one.

Oh my goodness, this book has stayed in my head for days! It is a brilliant rollercoaster of emotional ups and downs. Thoroughly enjoyed it, Julie Bergman got the level of emotional stress, nail biting scenes and that feeling of hiding one’s self in the wardrobe just right!
This is the first book of Julie Bergman's that I have read and if this is the quality of her work, I shall definitely be reading more of them. Julie Bergman's military experience is evident in the details of military life and scenes of action which make the book read more like a true account than a novel of two hard hitting main characters, Mac and Hudson. Do yourself a favour and read it you won't be disappointed.
