The Amazing Crystal: Revelations

Rate this book
In the summer of 2025, Lydia's grandfather sent her a strange diamond pendant admonishing her to handle it with utmost care. From the moment that she receives the small package, her life changes. She becomes engulfed in a series of life-threatening events that lead her to realize the incredible properties of the pendant. Slowly she learns that the diamond contains an alien intelligence able to communicate directly with the human brain. Rumors of its powers spread, the Mafia designs a Machiavellian plot to seize the extraterrestrial gem, whose value is estimated at $ 100 billion. An unprecedented confrontation occurs between mercenaries hired by the Mafia and American security services. As rumors continue to grow, the American authorities are forced to release stunning revelations about the life and mission of the alien genius to the peoples and nations of the world. The news throws the scientific world into turmoil. Economic and political ideologies are brought into question and religious beliefs are shaken. But the Mafia wants to have the last say: confrontation is inevitable. This science fiction novel addresses questions relevant to a growing number of readers. Recent discoveries in astrophysics suggest that there is a large number of exoplanets likely to contain liquid water and a breathable atmosphere able to contribute to the emergence of life. If aliens exist, are they scientifically and technologically ahead of Earth by thousands, millions or even billions of years? If so, have they already colonized or visited Earth? How could they overcome intergalactic distances given the limitations inherent in the barrier provided by the speed of light? Is it possible that aliens have been present on earth for billions of years? If so, what form would they take? Can they communicate with us? If the answers to these questions are positive, how would humans react when informed of these facts via a large television news chain? What would your own answers be after reading "The Amazing Crystal"?

Is human evolution really triggered by some powerful nano-robots of some other galaxy? Is Charles
Darwin really wrong? Should we stop believing in God? The Amazing Crystal by Gerald Lizee is the book which will promptly take you on a journey into the unknown, a journey into the future where we will see things with more clear perspective, a journey into a galaxy, which we thought never existed, a journey into the secrets of human evolution on Earth. A book which will intrigue you to know more about those subjects about which we never ponder upon! This book might disturb your belief over God. But I don't know why everything sounds so real and factual with all those logical and scientific explanations, I think, for a fleet second you'll bound to forget that this book is fiction!

A huge thanks to the author, Gerald Lizee, for giving me the opportunity to read his book, in
exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Lydia, a young scientist, is approached by her grandfather, in order to protect a crystal. But soon
she finds herself in the clutches of the deadly Mafia gang, who have also kidnapped her mom and dad
and upon her arrival into the Mafia's den, the crystal shows its amazing power to protect Lydia and her family, and all this while she had a very brief idea about this powerful crystal. Then she and her family go into hiding into the America's Security Service's hideout place. The President asks them to reveal this human evolution secret to the whole world and hence this thick, rich and deep plot takes a more interesting turn, by getting more and more thrilling and more and more dangers lurking in every pages of the book. If you don't read this book, you're going to miss out the best secrets about human evolution. Considering author's background in Physics and technology, it seems that he is quite a genius while explaining certain scientific plot. Yes that proves that the author is really very intelligent, because being a technical person, he has the talent to weave a story so flawlessly, and not for a single moment you'll think that you’re reading science fiction, he has made the plot so believable.

It's about this sapphire crystal, which reveals that human evolution has been triggered by the nano-robots of the Andromeda Galaxy which is really very older than our planet and also the people of that galaxy are technologically very advanced, so the crystal even claims the flora and fauna of our planet is inspired by that galaxy. Lydia used to call that crystal as Cryst, so he is actually a character who used to explain all these facts through Lydia's tab and also he can turn any crystal into a nano-robot. Following all these revelations to the general public, it spikes up numerous demonstrations and protests across the globe by various religious societies. The situation gets out of control. And also on the other hand, the Mafia world is bending to steal that crystal and sell it to the powerful men on the world. And the drama gets even hotter and very intriguing.

The author has made the characterization of the crystal very strong and gripping. And also all the
other characters totally justifies with the plot. Also we can see that there is romance between Lydia and another scientist, Bryan. Lydia is a very strong woman; she overcomes her fear of public speaking and becomes a heroine overnight.

So all the science-fiction lovers don't give this book a miss!!

The Amazing Crystal: Revelations contains a lot of things that I love: action, interesting characters and scientific facts (that are sometimes hard to follow, especially at 4 a.m., but I learned a few new things!).
The concept of extraterrestrial being that can communicate with people speaking directly to their brain through crystals is entertaining and keeps the reader engaged with the story.
The Mafia plot is also fascinating and made me wonder even more what will happen next. I can't wait to know what's next for our characters.

Thanks to Gerald Lizee for sending me a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

This book took place in 2025, however I felt as though it could take place now. The build up was fast paced and I could not believe how close Lydia came to death. She was a victim, and she was thrown into a world she had no clue about. She was a scientist like her grandfather, and that is why he picked her. I loved the drama and fight for the crystal between Lydia and the mafia. The best part however was the powers the crystal had. To be able to talk to aliens is amazing. Who knows what we can learn from other species? I loved the end, in fact it is the best ending that I have read in a while. Lydia makes a choice that left me wondering the outcome, not in a cliffhanger way, but about the future of mankind. The ways that the aliens were involved with the evolution of life challenged everything I know about Creation and Evolution. I was also able to understand the "science" of the book because it is explained to the reader as it is explained to the President. There is nothing negative that I can even think of about this book. I recommend it to every one. It is also clean and would be great for high schoolers. I am giving this book a 5/5. I was given a copy to review from Book Reviewer Yellow Pages and the author, however all opinions are my own.

The Amazing Crystal: Revelations: Gerald Lizee

What would you do if you could communicate with a precious stone that can communicate directly with the human brain? Would you believe it? An impulse purchase at an antique store would change the complexion of science forever. Can a simple crystal guide an entire family to safety by creating an illusion that would astound not only those that witness it but every scientist known on this planet. A young girl receives a message from her grandfather that she has to take a special package, hide and make sure that it is kept safe. The package contains a valuable amulet that can communicate with the person it chooses and instruct or influence people all over the world just by injecting its thoughts and voice. Lydia Grand-Maison is one star of this interesting novel. With her doctorate in physics she is thrown, submersed and sent into a world that she does not understand with a chain of events that will spiral from the President of the United States to scientists around the world. Taking place in the year 2025, not too far away if you think about it. This young girl now has the pendant in her hands, two USBs which hold within both over 30 years of research and findings. For those that are unbelievers after reading this novel you might question what is fact and what is reality.

What if this being told you that he is the product of an intelligent nanocapsule that came from a planet in the Andromeda Galaxy? Having purchased the amulet with the amber stone, which contained a diamond in the form of an icosahedrons and encircled with 80 diamond tetrahedrons distributed with four tetrahedrons per face of the icosahedrons. Continuing if you the reader could hear the voice as it relayed this information to Pierre Grand-Maison you would also learn the reason why he was chosen and where this being came from. Imagine interacting with this being and being chosen as the Andromedian interlocutor. Research was done to validate what he was told and a group of brilliant scientists enlisted to research and pursue the mission of this extraterrestrial being and hopefully understand how this would benefit mankind.
It gets more complicated as Lydia honors her grandfather’s request, gets the amulet only to be taken into custody by two rogue agents claiming to want to protect her. Having no choice but to go along with them, knowing that the life of her parents depended on her cooperation, Lydia finds herself in tangled web and unable to respond when her vocal chords are tampered with. But, although her grandfather has his own type of security he is taken into protective custody by others and brought to a secured location with the Director of Security where he meets the President on a video feed to discuss why he’s there and to find his research team sequestered there too. Frank Pavoni is the head of the Mafia and he thinks he has his goal and plan ready for action. Kidnapping Lydia he never expected what happened when things got rough, his questions are unanswered after sending her back to the bank to get the amulet and hand it over to him. But, if you do not believe in strange happenings or in extraterrestrial being, you might after you experience what not only Lydia and her parents do but the members of the mob too. Since this is a classified story and only certain information can be leaked you will have to find out just how this being created an illusion that helped Lydia and her parents escape. Angered at losing the first battle Pavoni enlists the help of someone he thinks can outsmart the being and get the amulet. With his plan in place on how to overtake the compound where Lydia, her family and the researchers are, the author lets the reader inside the compound of both the mafia boss and the researchers to learn the terrifying outcome.

Should they release this information to the world? Do you think that there will be a panic? The President in this novel decides to intervene and has a scientific committee formed to discuss all possibilities. Twelve of the foremost minds in science were invited to Blair House along with Lydia, Andrew Davidson of the National Science Foundations and his Vice-President, Bryan Elkington who would chair the assembly. Read pages 45- 48 to learn the names of the esteemed members who comprise this committee and then continue on by attending the two-day conference, hearing the revelations discussed, the arguments for and against what is being presented and then the final outcomes.

When things start to fit together the being speaks directly to Lydia requesting that she now become the one he communicates with and not her grandfather. Men such are Socrates, Plato, Einstein and Newton are thought to have been influenced by this being we shall call Cryst. Cryst can create illusions, hallucinations and speak directly to humans through precious and valuable stones. As President Jackson is the commander-in-chief of the United States, Cryst has the same role in the Andromeda Galaxy.
.
A televised news program releases the facts as the author creates what is called The Four Revelations. Each revelation takes up one entire news program and each one helps to shed light on that there are extraterrestrial beings that can communicate with the human brain. Next in the second revelation the author reveals the scientific nature and the research results that validate and inspired directly the communications with the extraterrestrial interlocutor. Added in the author elaborates and explains both the String theory and the Bubble theory within pages 90- 99. Public reaction varies from skeptics, to religious groups and the Vatican where some believe what they have been told and others refute it. Many scientists are disconcerted about Andromeda and journalists noted the deep chasm between the many branches of science. Added in the author allows Cryst to approach Lydia concerning a technology that would help eliminate birth defects. He even shares the reasons why Cryst is able to communicate with humans, his amazing planet and the secret behind immortality. You are really going to want to learn about that and someday you might want to visit his beautiful planet. But, Frank Pavoni is ruthless and relentless and has devised a plan to kidnap Pierre, Lydia and Bryan. But first the author shares the third and fourth reveals leaving listeners breathless when the final voice they hear well listen for yourself when you read Episodes 41 and 44.

While Lydia and Bryan bask in the limelight someone is out to destroy them. Blindsided and not able to defend themselves, Pierre, Bryan and Lydia face off with the mafia and fight for their lives and the fate of the amulet as they are now part of Cryst’s inner world and circle and later will form with the aid of the President an Intergalactic Agency. But, first they have to survive what one man has in store for them. But will they?
As the story draws to a close and the hope that Cryst will once again save them all we learn the reason why so many in our world are Evil, cruel, kill and have been infected with a virus that they hope will be eradicated in the future but it all depends on world support, the scientists working as one and the many different countries around the world uniting.

What would you do if you were Lydia? Would you become the new liaison between Cryst and the human population? Sapphires, diamonds, and other gemstones became invaluable and alien nano robots, which entered these stones, became turned into communicating crystals. As Lydia, Pierre and Bryan are held captive someone on the inside set them up but why? How? Using his extensive knowledge of physics the author shares within each episode information about molecules, theories, the evolution of man and nanorobots and nano technology. What would you do if you were Lydia? Would you agree to become a bigger part of this? What about the final pact? Will the Andromeda Pact be ratified? What is the final outcome for everyone as power, greed, revenge, love and romance fill the pages of this outstanding novel?

An ending that provides a surprise twist and a final outcome that awaits a sequel to see just where this is going and if humans and the extraterrestrials can really work together for the good of everyone. Cooperation, inter-country understanding, terrorists that just might think twice the next time they come up against a President like Jackson. Media frenzy, discord in the science world and three people determined to change the way everyone thinks. What is the final outcome and what is the fourth revelation? Find out when you read The Amazing Crystal of which I would love one for myself. Interacting with another being from another world is enlightening, creates understanding and maybe even a better world. Who wins? Who just might learn a hard lesson? What will happen when the truth comes out about this being? What will the world do? Can we live together with Cryst and others like him? What would you do if you were the one chosen to communicate with him for the good of humankind? Revelations: the divine or supernatural disclosure to humans of something relating to human existence or the world. What do you learn reading this novel? What was your final revelation?

Shy, sweet and unassuming Lydia Grand-Maison leads a quiet life. That is until she receives a pendant, and two USB keys containing over 30 years of physics research, in the mail from her Grandfather. Also attached, a strange note which concerns Lydia over her grandfather's mental health...

Lydia makes a trip to visit her Grandfather, and he instructs her to immediately deposit the items he sent her in a safe place. Pierre Grand-Maison's research group is in grave danger, and Lydia's life is about to take an unexpected turn...

Lydia finds herself abducted by the Mafia and forced to comply with their demands. Every subversive group has Lydia in their sights; the mafia, terrorists, dictatorships and religious sects. Lydia's inner turmoil, fear, and panic takes over her brain. Yesterday, she was a simple woman going on about her life, and today Lydia is a wanted woman... She wears around her neck the most coveted secret in the world...

Lydia finds her voice, and even love, as she catches everyone off guard with four revelations delivered by an extraterrestrial intelligence, who communicates with her through an amazing crystal. The fifth revelation however, is a secret between herself, the crystal, and Lydia's lover...

The Amazing Crystal, by Gerald Lizee is a science fiction that takes place in 2015. It explores issues related to extraterrestrial intelligence, the theory of evolution, a utopian dream of humanity at peace with itself, and the Andromeda galaxy. If any of these themes intrigue you, then I suggest you check out this book.

Science fiction is sometimes hard for me to get into. Detailed scientific theories on elementary particles, etc, makes me fall asleep. It ceases to be enjoyable for me when there is too much scientific detail, hence why I'm not the biggest fan of science fiction as a genre. However, I understand that some people eat that right up. If you are one of those people, again, you might enjoy this book!

The idea of the story itself, a young woman who inherits a coveted crystal and has to be protected at all costs from every bad group in the world, finds love, and gains self esteem, was such a great idea. I couldn't pass it up. However, I was disappointed with the chapter, or "episode" headings, as they told what was about to happen before you could read it yourself. For instance, "Episode 54: Frank's Tricks to Control Cryst," was pretty self explanatory of what I was about to read. I would highly suggest the Author to be a bit more vague with his future chapter headings. To paraphrase Mr. Steven King, 'All good writing doesn't give up its secrets all at once!' ;)

I am giving The Amazing Crystal, by Gerald Lizee 3 out of 5 Stars.

Gerald Lizee's The Amazing Crystal transports the reader to 2025, a time where  Lydia Grand-Maison has completed her Physics doctorate and is plunged into an unimaginable life altering chain of events.
It begins with Lydia being entrusted with  a powerful pendant and two USBs containing thirty years of research results.
Interestingly, the action plays out part script-like, and part documentary style, much of which unfolds  like a fast paced adventure film.
Not for the faint hearted, the extensive documentary facts section of Lizee's creation is quite fascinating, and with the 'Piano'explanation, I might now have come to grips with 'String theory'!
In this book, we learn of extra terrestrial intelligence in the form of Lydia's crystal pendant setting. Known as ,Cryst, the entity is capable of intra cranial communication, previous recipients of Cryst's influence are cited as Socrates, Plato and Newton among significant others. Cryst can effect powerful hallucinations, and uses his talent to  good effect.
There is involvement of government, CIA,  Mafia and terrorists within the pages of this work, and the action serves to balance the large volume of science material included.
Cryst is commander-in-chief of the Andromedians, the Andromeda project having been in progress since creation.
During INN network coverage, the facts are released and the world informed of the Alien role in the genesis of life. Naturally there is a resulting furore of confusion, denial and formation of pro and against groups.
Lydia becomes a superstar overnight, and a relationship develops between her and Bryan who are part of Cryst's inner circle and they become part of the new Intergalactic Agency.
There is an interesting spin that an 'Evil'' extra terrestrial virus is responsible for Earth's most reviled villains (This was a very nice touch. It would be nice if we could abdicate on our responsibilities and blame a virus for our worst deeds!)
There is a spectacular scene where Cryst takes Lydia on an amazing virtual tour, and an excellent explanatory part where Cryst explains about alien nano robots which infused Earth's gemstones into communicating crystals. The volume of facts offered, lends credibility to this fast tale of highly imaginative fiction and complex phenomena is explained in terms that many niche readers will understand.
Lizee's work whilst entertaining, prompts serious thought about the human condition, be it in our predictable reactions to the unknown, or our lack of concern for fellow beings. It presents a sobering look at future society  and human desires for power, perfection, or possessions.
I am very interested to see where Lizee next takes us with this escape into his creation. I would recommend to all who enjoy interesting facts and information with their fiction.

What if aliens colonized earth with nano-technology and authored the evolution of our DNA? It's a fascinating question and a great premise for a novel. Gerard Lizee offers an intriguing answer, viewed through the eyes of scientists, politicians, criminals and more, as an alien (imaginatively called Cryst) initiates communication with a genius and his genius granddaughter.

The year is 2025, and Lydia, whose “gently innocent appearance belied the fact that just a few months before she had obtained a doctorate magna cum laude in physics,” receives a parcel containing two USB drives and a crystal pendant, with instruction from her grandfather to hide them. (Reader beware! Some perfectly normal women with doctorates might take offense at Lydia's description.) Meanwhile Mafia specialists with “infallible methods to make the toughest of their victims talk” are out to get her, and an “ultra-secret group of scientists” is coming to the end of its work deciphering secrets surrounding the amulet.

The Amazing Crystal is an amazingly detailed story, where every room of a house and every item of clothing is lovingly described before an abduction. Scientific discoveries are laid out at similar length, frustrating perhaps for scientists who might wonder why the world’s best representatives can’t ask better questions, and also for lay-readers who might struggle to care about string theory in three pages. But Lydia conquers her “legendary shyness,” becoming positively loquacious as she divulges the world’s new history, science and social science on global TV. Religions object and scientists cling to old ways in dismay; the Mafia fights back; and the power of the mind (combined with the alien of course) might conquer all.

The English translation reads somewhat stiltedly, especially where dialog is concerned, and, while the storyline contains the sort of serendipity you might expect in a middle-grade novel, an underlying romance leads to a somewhat more adult scene. Meanwhile the science, despite an “annex... meant specifically for readers having an adequate mastery of the science of elementary particle physics,” remains unconvincingly supplied with loopholes and unasked questions, at least in the eyes of this Cambridge mathematician. The "What if" definitely intrigues, but I guess I'm not the intended reader.

I've been approached by the author to read and review his book, and thus received a free copy.

The idea behind the story is great. An extra-terrestrial communicating with people wearing the jewelry sounds so cool. The execution, however, could have been better. It's a translation, sure, but I don't think that accounts for all the repeated info and the stiffness of the dialogues.

Over all, the book reads more like news. You get a lot of he did that, she did that, but not much of what they feel inside as it happens. For example, when one of the MC is kidnapped at the very beginning of the story, if any kind of emotions had been inserted there, by the time she'd escaped, I'd have probably fallen in love with the character. Yet, after all that was done, I was left cold. From then on, it was hard for me to forget the outside world and emerge myself in the story. I wanted to like the book as I hold a special love for all that is extra-terrestrial, yet, no matter how the subject appeals to me, I still need to like (or hate) the characters, which never happened.

I admit it; I haven't finished the book. I stopped about a quarter in, when the whole chapter turned out to be a repeat: "Hi, I'm so and so and this is what I do." Not only we heard from all the new characters that joined the story at once, but we got to hear it from the characters who were already introduced, and who had already told the same story to the FBI and later on to the President.

Maybe I could have tried harder. Maybe I'm not being fair. Who knows; if you go for the story over the characters, maybe this is for you.

This would be a great book for a teen to read who is really into Science and/or Math. It's a good plot about a young girl and her genius grandfather who stumbles upon an alien object that is able to communicate with him just by sending thoughts to his brain.

According to her grandfather, he accidently came upon the crystal pendant over 30 years ago and never told his family about it but did bring in some other scientists to help him study and listen to what the alien had to say.

Throwing the mob into the mix who want the crystal for themselves so that they can control the world adds a little bit more danger to the whole story but it also lends some pretty funny laughs too. Not so much what they do but how they talk and act, or so it was for me anyway.

Although it gets really technical in some parts of the book and there is a lot of scientist type talk, it still is filled with a lot of action with a side twist of some romance going on between Lydia and one of the government agents close to the President, Bryan.

It also has some rather funny parts in it also along with some dry humor. The language is suitable for young teens and there are no bad parts in the book that would deem it unreadable to a young adult.

And like I mentioned earlier, you will run into some really technical science talk and if you can get past that, then you will enjoy this nice easy read and fun adventure that Lydia finds herself immersed in.

The plot or the basic concept struck me as rather unique and I knew from that moment that I had to read this book.

Set in 2025, the novel tells the tale of Lydia Grand-Maison,Granddaughter of Pierre Grand-Maison and a Doctorate in theoretical Physics whose life suddenly turns upside down after she wakes up one morning and receives a parcel containing an exquisite jewel in the form of an Icosahedron which is actually an extraterrestrial intelligence having powers to communicate directly with the human brain. Then starts a series of exhilarating events which takes Lydia on a cloak-and-dagger journey. Then there is the fast-paced story, the wide-ranging powers of the Andromedian crystal, The mafia's insatiable lust for possessing the crystal, the shocking revelations and WHAT NOT makes this story a complete entertainer.

The whole tale is weaving in science, fantasy and the first book in the series flags off a new take on the Andromeda Theory. It is a racy, sci-fi work of fiction that is breathtaking entertainment. The author has done a great job in this intelligently written work.

Thanks to the author Gerald Lizee for Sending me a free copy in exchange for an honest review and giving me an enjoyable read.Excited for the next book!!

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

If you like science (particularly physics and math) then this one will be a gem of a book. I can truly see my younger self devouring its pages in hours flat. Throw in a sweet love story and some save the world action and it's a win-win for me.

I have to admit that the some of the dialogue felt a little stiff, maybe because it’s a translation, but the intricate plot needed that hardness at times IMO. This could hurt the reach for a younger audience. Nonetheless, the direct interaction between the characters is dynamic and almost movie-like, which is great for imagining such a fantastic futuristic version of the universe.

The pace is swift, but not sloppy, the writing is really good and the structure of the book/story is engaging. I love fiction and realism alike and this book delivers on both ends. It holds a tactful balance between the two, releasing its energy in every twist and turn.

In the end, Gerald Lizee gives us a great adventure, wrapped in mystery, love and fiction.

I received this book for free from the author for an honest review.

This fast paced science fiction novel takes place in the future. The year is 2025 and the Grand-Maison family is caught up in an adventure with an extraterrestrial presence on earth. The main character, Lydia Grand-Maison runs into danger through no fault of her own as she faces imminent death from the Mafia. The Amazing Crystal, a diamond pendant, whom Lydia later names Cryst, saves Lydia then continues to communicate with her.

I appreciated how the author familiarized the reader with scientific terms yet kept the complicated concepts for further reading at the conclusion of the novel. The novel was well researched, flowed well, had a unique plot and was a quick read. I enjoyed the concept of Cryst as an alien who had exceptional powers.

If you enjoy science fiction and like to question how life on earth came to be, this novel will appeal to you. Complete with nano robots, crystals, alien intelligence, adventure, bad guys and plenty of intrigue this book provides an entertaining read. I recommend this book to readers who love science fiction layered with an exciting plot.

Fast paced, conspiracy theorists abound! The Amazing Crystal will have you going until the very end. Danger at every turn, Lydia must make a decision that will affect human kind forever! Does she make the right choice?

A quick read, you're enveloped from the very get go in this science mystery! There is a lot of science jargon, if you can get through that you will sail through the book. I couldn't put it down, as I love books that twist and turn! You just never know where you're going to end up! And that is SO true with this book.

An alien device that speaks directly to you by using your brain? For anyone that would be a challenge, but then you throw in all the government forces, and other bad guys that want the crystal for their own agendas and you are on the run, literally! Hiding out, trying to figure out what to do, and why you were given such a responsibility to begin with!

Doing the right thing is difficult, but can Lydia make the best decision for not just her, but the whole world? Find out when you read The Amazing Crystal.

Here's the deal. I do not read a whole lot of science fiction. In fact, I could probably count on one hand the number of Sci-Fi books I've actually read and enjoyed. Add The Amazing Crystal by Gerald Lizee to that list.

Set in a futuristic society, protagonist Lydia receives an amulet from her grandfather, who has gone into hiding our of fear that he may be robbed or kidnapped. This amulet, it turns out, possesses the ability to communicate with whom it chooses and influence the world around it.

Something I loved and that makes The Amazing Crystal very unique is that it plays out like an action show, with episodes instead of chapters. This makes for a fun and fast-paced read with no slow spots in the narrative. The descriptions are vivid and yet, Mr. Lizee tells the story in such a way that even those of us who've spent more of our time in the worlds of romance and fantasy will understand and enjoy.

Congratulations and 5 stars to Gerald Lizee. I look forward to reading his future works!

From page one of this book the action and excitement begins.

This book has everything; mafia, danger, a likable lead and a crystal with the power to communicate with your brain…what else would you possibly need in an exciting new read!

Lydia is instantly thrown into the deep end when she receives the crystal and the information that could change the world and the reader can instantly relate as we are discovering it with her for the first time.

The book is full of continuous action and the feeling of danger is always close by with the addition of the Mafia, which I find have been described and shown in a very cliché way which I really enjoyed.

The book does cover a lot of science talk which can be overwhelming at times but the action and fast pace make up for it.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found it an exciting new read.

I loved the concept of extraterrestrial intelligence being the creator and catalyst in advancing the evolutional development of the many types of species on earth, with little nanorobots as accomplices/little soldiers.
When reading it made me start to contemplate the wonders of solar system and that surely we are not the only intellectual lifeforms out there. All the questions that a subject like this will inevitably bring up, religious, scientific, psychological, astrophysical. Its a topic that has been discussed and debated many times over the course of many years with no determinable answers so far.
I didnt quite get to grips with some of the scientific terminology but to continue the read made it understandable in my eyes.
Very well written, researched and explained.
I also believe this is not a stand alone story but the first in a trilogy, I can not wait to see where Gerald will take this story next.

The amazing crystal: Mixing Science and Magic

Firstly I would like to thank Dr Gerald Lizee for sending me a free copy of the book titled "The Amazing Crystal" for an honest review.

The book is divided to many sections which let the reader like to know more about the Amazing Crystal and keep him engaged with the story.

This book contains a lot of things that I love such as:

1. Scientific facts which I did not know till I read this book.

2. Characters and Actions: The main character, Lydia Grand-Maison runs into danger as she faces imminent death. The Amazing Crystal, a diamond pendant, saves Lydia then continues to communicate with her.

Actually, The Amazing Crystal made the reader enjoy and wonder even more what will happen next.

In fact, Dr. Gerald Lizee gives to the reader who likes science fiction a great adventure, wrapped in mystery and fiction.

I loved the speed in which this book picks up. From the first few sentences we are pulled into a mystery that holds many secrets and everyone wants their hands on them. Lydia has no clue what she is doing or why but it quickly becomes apparent that she must act and not think.

I received the book for free through Goodreads First Reads.

If I'm being totally honest, I didn't like The Amazing Crystal that much. I have to say that the idea behind the story was quite good, but I just couldn't get into it. The main reason for that was the writing style. This book has lots of diagologues, which are quite stiff unfortunately. It doesn't feel like a real conversation. People don't talk like that in real life..
I also feel like the writing style is a bit detached, I didn't get any emotions from the characters. O and the whole conference part was honestly very boring to read.

I like the fact that the writer tried to put a lot of knowledge in his story, but it didn't work out for me. Too much science, too much terms; they made The Amazing Crystal a slow read.

I do applaud the writer for adding a romance in his story. Even though I didn't think it was very realistic and I didn't feel any of the emotions myself, I still believe it made the book a bit more readable.

A plot like this could have made an awesome book, but unfortunately this wasn't my cup of tea. I tried, but I just wasn't convinced. I'm sorry.

2.5 stars upped to 3 because I loved the cover and the concept of the story.

The novel was written very formally with a formal style of speech which made it seem very old fashioned. Do people really talk like that?

I liked the whole concept of the story and how the Mafiosi were after the crystal for evil intent. I haven’t read a lot of Science Fiction but the idea seemed quite unique to me. Once I got used to the script like narrative style the story flowed better.

There were a lot of words I hadn’t encountered before so having a dictionary handy is very useful. Lots and lots of science explanation, which was rather lost on me.

”All that seems very complicated to me”, Gerry confessed apologetically.
“I have a feeling that my brain is going to burst”, Gerry moaned.

My thoughts exactly Gerry!

The ending was great and left the story open to either conclude there and leave it up to the reader’s imagination or continue with a sequel.

I think that this novel would appeal to the teenage science enthusiast.

Thank you to the Author for my copy ofThe Amazing Crystal to read and review.

To be honest, I can count on one finger how many Sci-Fi books I have read (or started to read) in my life, well now two fingers. It's not really my cup of tea.

But in saying that, The Amazing Crystal: Revelations is an exciting, interesting story. With it's thrilling action scenes right off the bat you are thrown head first into the excitement. Along with Lydia as a very likeable and relatable lead this book is quite enjoyable. The idea of an extraterrestrial being meeting the (some) greedy, oppourtunist humans of earth it was an interesting look at human behaviour, with one side fighting to protect it, and the other fighting to exploit it.

I feel fans of Science Fiction will thoroughly enjoy this book.

Thank you Gerald Lizee for sending me the ebook.

I was a little disappointed after reading this book. I had other expectation when i saw the cover. I consider that is too much of the science, to many terms that maybe are interesting for someone interested in physic but not for me; I had pages that i just pass without reading. Leaving the scients part away, i liked the action with mafiosi, the love story between lydia and bryan and how cryst was showing the planet where he is from. And the end was open, put you to make any scenary about the next book.
I am giving only 3 stars because of the scients terms that i consider too many and to much on repeat.

This book had a very intriguing mystery that unfolded like TV episodes. It could very easily be adapted into a miniseries. I did find the prose execution to be a bit dry and matter-of-fact at times, and this makes the reader sometimes feel like they are being kept at arm's length, rather than getting full emotional immersion in a story. But check it out if you're looking for a cerebral literary puzzle.

Fast paced, interesting, and very unique! Loved how the book is formatted and the concept was different than I've ever read before. At times the wording was a little awkward, but I think that's due to the fact that it was translated to English
