Don't Forget to Eat; Making Mistakes; Desperately Wicked —these are a few of the chapters presented in this compelling collection of articles by Elders Waggoner and Jones. Vivid, brief, intense, and full of warning and comfort, Living By Faith presents practical concepts enabling you to live a victorious Christian life. You can't afford to pass it by!
The book will change all perspectives of faith, God, his word, and love. An amazing jewel for any Christian who is trying to deepen their relationship with Christ. The authors manifest God's character to show a gleaming and loving Savior who will fight for us. It also creates a sense of action in our walk with God.
Very good morning worship book. The short chapters give just enough to digest at a time. Provided a good understanding of the character of the Father and Jesus.
If you grew up with a really impossible and bleak view of faith, sanctification, and salvation like I did, this book may very well change your whole view of those aspects of spirituality. So many pages of encouragement and simple explanations that don’t condemn or discourage but uplift and make it easy to understand the topics listed above. It’s also a really good study of the human heart/mind.
If you’re struggling with your parents religion, and possibly generations of ill-doctrinal trauma, I implore you to give this book a try. It’s short, to the point, and exactly what a conflicted and discouraged heart needs.
Was reading this as a devotional and did struggle at the beginning. It eventually became easier to read and surprisingly topics would come up a day after it was discussed, providing more clarification. God's timing is perfect. The back of the book shows where these writings were taken from and are mostly verbatim. Changed slightly to make it easier to read and understand. I look forward to reading this again next year.
Special words of wisdom for last days events. The author has a very special understanding of the words of God and by this special grace he has is able to bring us closer to our Lord and Saviour.
