fermat'nın son teoreminin (kabaca: x^n+y^n=z^n denkleminin n>2 tam sayıları için sağlanamayacak olması) kanıtlanmadığı "ve yakınlarda kanıtlanacağının düşünülmediği" zamanlardan bir matematik felsefesi tanıtımı. ilk kısmı sıkıcı derecede öklid geometrisini ve civar tartışmaları bahis ederken gidişin heyecanlandığı kısımlarda da ilerlemeye kitabın hacmi elvermiyor. yine de bu 2. kısım böyle kısaca çok başarılı ele alınmış, duruyor.
1 şey, kitabın türkçe çevirisi tam anlamıyla zordu. dolayısıyla en başlardan ingilizce pdf'inden devam etmeyi, arada bir de karşılaştırmalı gitmeyi tercih ettim.

Pretty good, but really just an introduction. This seems targeted towards people with little-to-no math background: it spends a lot of time discussing the basics of mathematical methodology, as opposed to the big 19th and 20th century debates.

This book is wonderful! This helped me to understand main problems in philosophy of mathematics. Whole book is connected and you can easily understand movement of thought in this field.
