I usually enjoy this series, but I didn't care for this book. I'm guessing the author wanted to show how through accepting her submissiveness, Ashley could grow a backbone and stop being a doormat, but I think she failed. Maybe she did learn how to stand up for herself, but she didn't stand up for her baby, and that ruined it for me. Keith wanted nothing to do with her child, was up front about it, made sure she understood he didn't want it, yet she was OK with bringing him into her home, when her child was awake, and was seemingly OK with him ignoring her, just hoping he'd change his mind. Why would someone subject their child to that? There are some things I can ignore and move past in a book, but that wasn't one of them.
