Lucifer's Saints MC is one of the country's most feared and respected MCs. But the men in LSMC will be nothing without the strong, opinionated, and take-no-prisoner women entering their lives. These men will fall hard. Fighter harder. Some will fail, while others succeed. They will learn what it is to love a strong woman. And they will become better men for it.
"Brotherhood is nothing without loyalty. Loyalty is nothing without trust. We ride together. Fight together. Live and Love together. LSMC Brotherhood for life." -LSMC Creed
HER Growing up, Gabriella knew the expectations her family had for her. She knew what her future held, but she wanted more. She wanted to experience the world outside of her family's expectations. She tried to find love and create a life of her own, but fate had other plans.
It’s been 17 years since Gabriella stepped foot on Lucifers Saints MC’s compound. When her family tasks Gabriella to do her job, she does it, and she does it well. With this job, she finds herself having to expose a 17-year-old secret. And not just her secrets.
HIM Growing up in the club, Talon knew his family's expectations of him. He wanted to be the best MC president and make his father and club proud. In his younger years, he wanted to experience all there was with being a young MC member, and he did. He wasn’t looking for love or to find an ol’ lady or become a father, but fate had other plans for him.
The girls whose heart he left broke and battered returns, and things begin to take a turn in Talon’s life. Talon never thought that the mistakes from his past would have consequences that would shape his future.
THEM Hate to love them or love to hate them. Talon and Gabriella are far too volatile to live easy lives. Especially when their secret sins come to light, they don't have a simple romance with an easy happily ever after. Because no matter how hard they try, their sins cannot be easily forgiven.
FROM THE AUTHOR
This book is a SLOW-BURN, plot-driven, second-chance romance. There is cheating in the prologue ONLY. This is book one of a duet with book two introducing a second love interest for the FMC. There is no "adult time" in this book. Please read the BOOK CONTENT EXPECTATIONS for any information you may find upsetting to you. This is NOT a standalone novel. Reading BRICK LSMC Sacramento Originals is recommended. This is a prequel to Lucifer's Saints MC Sacramento Chapter Next Generation.
Tonya Ink writes outside the lines, underneath and between them, as someone who likes pushing boundaries and believes in creating chaos. She is not afraid of making mistakes rewriting history, nor will she ever regret all of the above. She accepts being perfectly imperfect, not just as an author but as a human.
As a firm believer in strong women who 'strong women.' Tonya writes female leads who give as good as they get and are unapologetically themselves.
Like in all romance novels, you will find strife, pain, family drama, love, joy, happiness, laughter, makeups and breakups. Nothing will ever be conventional. Tonya Ink believes in shattering glass ceilings.
Book 1 of a duet. But it’s also 3 books. I didn’t make this shit up; it’s right there in the AUTHOR’S NOTES on the Amazon book page: 🚩“This is NOT a standalone novel. Part two which is written in two parts (three books total) of this duet ends in a Why Choose M/F/ M.” 🚩“This book is book one of the Sinners Duet and the beginning of the LSMC Series”
The next book: “NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR” in the description on Amazon book page: 🚩”This book is part 1 of two-part book 2 of the Sinners Duet. Ends in a why choose romance(M F M).
So, either my brain is fried (it’s 30 odd° where I am, so it’s very likely) or the author is saying: These books are part of a duet. Book 2 is actually TWO books. That makes it THREE books in all. That’s 455 pages over 3 books. (294 pages for book 1 plus 161 pages for the next book/s)
NTS: Wait, are there more books? NTS: Beeg, take a break, double check your facts, then come back here and finish this. NTS: brb
Talon’s Secret is one of those books where your experienced reading brain keep pointing out the flaws, but your story-loving brain keeps reading just to find out what happens next.
There will be mild spoilers below.
There is also cheating, fighting, shooting, stabbing and torture. Not much sex, but really, you can’t have everything.
To start with the good bits. The plot is all over the place, but as romantic suspense plots go, it makes twisty sense (mostly), and the resolution is gory but satisfying. There are enough secrets and revelations to keep things interesting.
Gabriella is a terrific character; smart, strong, determined and not afraid to cut a b*tch. She’s an icy, Italian/ African Mafia Princess, always way ahead of the men. She also birthed quadruplets, so, respect.
Talon is less interesting, and since we first meet him, cheating, on page, on the young Gabriella, he’s much less likeable. Gabriella leaves him after this incident and they don’t meet again for 17 years. It’s a great scene, as our heroine reveals her spine of steel.
Although when next we meet Talon, he’s clearly been through some stuff, (buckle up Talon, it’s only just begun), his default option is throwing a tantrum. He’s not particularly engaging, and he’s a terrible leader. As readers, we can only imagine he’s a fount of BDE, nothing else would explain his inexplicable draw for our Queen Gabe.
When Gabriella and Talon meet after 17 years, he’s been in a relationship with the Other Woman (OW), and has a daughter. Gabriella has spurned relationships, concentrating on raising her quartet of baby assassins, fathered, unknowingly, by Talon.
The best bits of this book are the confrontations. Gabriella returning to the MC clubhouse after nearly two decades, with a mafia escort and pistol- packing sons is epic. She knows she’s stepping into a man’s world and our girl is ready to throw down. Talon chucks a tanty and one of the baby assassins gives him what for. Delicious.
There’s a later scene in a hospital waiting room where one of Gabriella’s sons shoots the OW (not fatally); Talon’s mum draws a gun on Gabriella, and one of Gabriella’s daughter enters the waiting room through a ventilation duct, and pulls a pistol. Talon, having just been shot himself, misses all the fun.
If confrontations with OW are your thing, there are a lot of them. Gabriella and OW get into it a number of times, until the final confrontation. Needless to say, Gabriella never comes out second. There’s a pretty high body count in this book, and I did find myself wondering where all the corpses went. Details, details.
By the end of the book OW is dead. Talon sobs on his knees for Gabriella’s forgiveness, but despite a fevered kiss or two, Gabriella stands firm against his blandishments. Dear Reader, I cheered. This is the first in a duet, so Talon will need to bring his A game in grovel.
Talon’s Secret has numerous issues, which do detract from the exuberant story-telling. The editing is terrible. There are misspellings, sentences which make no sense, stray characters and a lot of repetition. Someone chuckles 96 times in this book, which might be 94 times too many. One of my pet peeves is repeated a number of times, the use of the phrase, “another thing coming”, instead of “another think coming”.
Gabriella’s sidekick is an Irishman named Armand, for no good reason. Despite his heritage, his accent is vaguely Scottish, which is also vaguely disconcerting.
The book is 294 pages long, and is the first in a duet. It feels much longer and the last third drags. It seems a bit as if the writer, worn out by all the excitement, didn’t quite know how to stop.
Is this a good book? Maybe not. But it’s a very entertaining one. It would be an ideal book for an airplane trip, where you can chuckle to yourself at the pistol-waving shenanigans.
Tonya Ink has that elusive ability to tell a story which pulls the reader into her world, no matter how bonkers it is. I think some detailed and ruthless editing would make all the difference.
The only reason I chose this book because it has cheating. It's in the beginning and that should have been enough for me but I wanted to see what else would happen and yeesh. Editing was horrible. The sentences didn't make sense. So this went into the DNF pile.
h 15 and H 18 meet. They date for 2 years. H cheats the whole time (BJ-s) and then one time D to the OW vag. h walks in on H inside OW. H does NOT stop.. he finishes. Is confrontal. He is afraid of his feelings, so he thought it is for best. He has lone tear in his eye and after h leaves calmly H cries. Then he goes on a sex and alcohol run for months. Ends up getting the same OW preggo. This MC has rule he needs to make her his Old lady now. h was also preggo. That night she went to tell H he is preggo. She never told. She had QUARTUPLES. Like 2 set of indentical twins. She tried to call H many months. H did not pick up and then changed his number. After birth she tried one more time. OW picked up and told h to f off and that H does not want those bastards. Chapter 2 17y later. h is mob lady and her 4 17year old children are mob assassins. Her twin boys act as bodyguards. She goes to H club and H finally finds out he has kids. He is nasty to h. h acts cold. Her kids hate him. H has a 16y daughter and OW has been Old lady for 16y. He is faithful to OW, but does not love her - but he cares alot about her. Turns out OW is a snake and has been feeding info to rival club all those yeards. H never suspect a thing. Now he has remorse (has said before, that "that night" 17y ago was his biggest regret, but he made his bed yada yada) and hates the OW. Wants to know his kids. Wants to make up with h. Somehow mob h is the one to "clean" Hs house, because they bring the mob money or smth. Usually MC find and deal with their own rats, but this one never knew they even had rats and product is missing. i think h was not celibate 17y. There was kinda somebody? not sure.. very very vague. will not read second part
“No, you don’t trust me. I betrayed you in the worst way. I lied, cheated, and looked you in the eyes when I did it. Fuck.” He says, and I can hear the anguish in his voice. “I was a bastard for doing what I did to you. You didn’t deserve that. But we can’t change the past, no matter how much I fucking want to kick my ass for that shit I did to you. We can’t go back. But we can and will move forward. I know what I did, destroyed you… it destroyed us. I betrayed you. I know that. But this… right here is our second chance. I will prove it to you. I will show you every day that I am and will forever be the man that is supposed to be by your side. It will take time, that I know. I am a patient man, Gabriella. For you, I have to be.
-----------
When I heard you dedicated so many years to her without cheating or stepping out on her in any way, it hurt. It brought so much back to me. So… so much. I don’t know who you are right now. I think you believe you are a good man. But you have spent the last sixteen years with a snake in your bed. You say I am not your second choice, but how am I to know that when she is barely cold in the ground. You went from me to her. Then you expect to come back to me. Talon, do you not see how crazy that sounds? Do you not see how that is a recipe for disaster? You need to take the time to live your life. Figure out who the hell you are when you are alone.

I’m 51% into this book and I’m beyond bored. The cheating betrayal happened right in the beginning but it’s been all the history that has passed since the main couple separated, multiple POV’s of the same timeframe, unnecessary club drama, and boring overreactions by literally everyone in this book and next to no progress on the main couple. The MMC so far is a wussy who regrets that he cheated but was happy to wife up a women he doesn’t even like for seventeen years BECAUSE he cheated. How does that make any sense?? And this is supposed to be a duet. I’m not impressed so far. All I keep thinking is this is the dumbest prez ever. And I keep thinking the daughter from the OW/mole can’t be his. Because he stated more than once that she kept trying to have more children with him and he made sure that it didn’t happen again but the OW somehow managed to get pregnant by him twice in a short space of time?? Unless he had a vasectomy she didn’t know about, then due to his negligence and ignorance there should have been more kids between them. Just saying.
78% UPDATE
I’m not understanding the point of the clause in the bylaw of the club that states any member who knocks up some chick automatically makes that baby mama an old lady. How does that work if there are multiple women who get knocked up at the same time or the kids that come over the years of a cheating man? Is it the first born that gets the designation or just whoever the guy picks as his old lady of the multiple baby mamas? Because that means it’s not truly mandated if it’s a choice. Because it also means that in either scenario there I’d no guarantee of the protection of said offspring just, because only ONE women can get old lady’d up. And honestly, why would wife up a woman you may not even like have, any baring on the safety and care of any child? As this OW/mole has proven she’s not that great a mother. And what happens to all those babies who’s mamas can’t be wife’d up this way because he is already taken? This bylaw in no way guarantees the welfare of any children the club men could have. As evidenced by the quintuplets of the FMC in this book who were all first borns.
And why would the old lady bylaw be for life? No divorce clause to it. Even cases of miscarriage like the MMC’s evil old lady that lost their first baby. The MMC was like “oh well since I’m stuck with her for life I’ll knock her up again just because”. What? He could have escaped that close call right then! Also, are they married?? Because my understanding is that old lady and married are NOT the same thing. Lastly, why would you old lady someone without a paternity test first? So far not once has it been proven that the evil OW’s child is actually the MMC’s. Did anyone even ask?!?
This whole books plot premise is on seriously shaky ground!!
FINAL UPDATE
So at about 80% the FMC reveals that she dna tested the MMC’s daughter with the OW and she was his daughter but my above comments on checking before wifing is just common sense. It isn’t even about whether he liked her or not. His own behavior was promiscuous and he was using protection (assumedly because again another detail that wasn’t acknowledged) and why not be cautious and get proof. They weren’t in a committed relationship at the very least and considering the chokehold of the bylaw I would think dna tests would be the norm.
Anyway, I read romance for romance. With spicy and angst and overcoming all odds to be together thrown in. This book had NO ROMANCE in it! There is literally ONE s e x scene in it in the first chapter and that’s the cheating scene. There is no flashbacks to when they were together as a couple passionate intense love to explain away all the bitterness between these two and why they feel the loss of each other. I normally hate flashbacks because they are usually fillers in a book and usually pointless and they more often than not take you of the story all together. But maybe one would have done this story some good. This book was nothing but melodrama and club secrets. And not even entertaining funny or “oh sh!t” kind of melodrama. It’s the bad kind of screaming and yelling and walking away over and over again from beginning to end. Honestly, how this club functioned at all is a wonder because the FMC protected them for seventeen years behind the scenes and she was the one who did all the work protecting them now. Seriously, the MMC is the dumbest prez ever and this club is weak AF. There is no reason for me to read the next book other than just to finish the story. But I don’t hold out any hope for intense romance or any spice whatsoever in that book. Especially as this book only had the one abbreviated s e x scene with the OW, and one kiss between the main characters. It was the DRIEST book I’ve read that wasn’t a “clean” story or a young adult book! Like Sahara dry!! I seriously probably won’t read anything by this author again after I finish part 2 of this duet. It’s really not worth the effort. Good luck.
3 - ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ========== Batshit crazy 🤪 Nothing makes sense and you have to pretend that you believe most of the time. And our hero isn't the brightest crayon 🖍️ in the pack. 😂
DNF, this had potential… it got repetitive with the fmc saying how badass she was but never showing it. Her 17 YO children did the set downs for her. I quit at 73% after I realized there’s 2 more books of this… I just can’t.
This started strong with the CAUGHT scene; they are my favorite. I wish we had more build up before she catches him, and less about the super powers all the kids and the h seem to have. But, finally we have an author willing to give us some hard-core cheating angst and OW drama, so I am giving it - 4 stars.
Not safe - they dated for two years when she was 15 until she turned 17. - she was inexperienced and he was not, he also cheated the whole time having blow jobs and one time fucking Heather (ow), she caught him in the act, he did not stop and there is no mention of condoms being used. She was going to tell him she was 12 weeks pregant - she left and he started a booze and sex bender, Heather got pregnant and he made her his old lady. - the heroine called him to tell about the babies but he ignored all her calls in respect to the ow and later changed his number - he was never unfaithful to Heather - he married Heather because she was pregnant, he choose to respect her way more than he ever respect the heroine. He says it was because she was pregnant and that he never loved her. Yet, he cared about her, was with her for 17 years and had no plans of separating even after meeting the heroine and knowing Heather told her to get lost when she made the final attempt at telling she was pregnat. He actually got offended when she said Heather was using him and offended her and called her a pathetic bitch. - Heather lost the baby and he chose to have another one with her. Not only the almost two decades together throw in heroine's face, she now has to see his daughter. Of course she instantly likes the girl because if heroines arent saints/martys they arent good. -After seeing the heroine again and knowing Heather told her to never contact him again, he called her stweehart and let her kiss him - heroine of course never stop loving him. She was 17, not she is 34 yet she never moved on, she had relationships but never let it take far, only come close once. - After Heather's death he went crawling to the heroine's knees saying he was faithful to Heather because of his regret for cheating on her. Before that he said she put his cock on a leash and he accept it. He did it because he clearly cared about her, he always made sure to give her a good life. He pins it all on her being his daughter life and club rules but this is bullshit. If he ever truly cared or loved the heroine he would: 1. Be faithful 2. Not have another baby with Heather 3. Fight his club for her 4. Go after her 5. At least break things off with ow as soon as she is back - he says she is not a consolation prize nor second best. Author you cant make a hero act like she is totally second best and only now that the ow betrayed him and the club he wants her back and later make him deny it. Actions speak way louder than words. - he never, not even once put her first, first came his dick and ego, later heather and his club, than his marriage and kids and now he wants her.
It makes me so sad that we already have only a few black heroines and when we have it they are almost always celibates while the man is not or have a cheating hero. Is like there is not one other man in the world who would appreciate her. Please, this man is no hero. She deserves way better. She never moved on, never got married, never had another kid. He did it all.

DNF at 40%, what a mess this was. Books like this are the reason I'm in a book slump. Irredeemable cheating, doesn't-even-apologize white-trash MC H ends up impregnating the African Italian American mafia consigliere when they are teenagers but after she catches him cheating and he doesn't for one second act pressed about it, she dumps his ass. He apparently is heartbroken, but when she tries to tell him she's pregnant (with double identical twins, that's right two sets of identical twins, 4 fucking babies at 18 by accident, my eyes are going to fall out of my head from rolling them so hard my good God) he blocks her calls and changes his number and his new ol' lady, the one he cheated with also blocks all the calls. Exhausted yet? Cause Lord knows I was. I was really rage reading to see someone SOMEWHERE show an ounce of remorse, but as 40% of the book, even knowing how bad he screwed up, all the people who should be apologetic, grateful, welcoming, groveling, friendly are complete and utter assholes, the entire dumb-as-rocks white-trash MC family. Burn the whole thing down. Supposedly she ends up with this asshole? Nah, not in this life time or even the next one should that happen 🙄Maybe at some point everyone gets their comeuppance, but I couldn't take the drain on my emotions anymore and am out.

3 stars because she didn’t forgive him. Love that for her.
With that being said. 85% of this book was just word vomit. It wasn’t necessary and due to such a strong start, I finished the book. Yelling at the pages to get to the point the entire time. Fix that because this story could be great. Also you list a book two but I cannot find it anywhere.
Holly hell this book is OTT crazy . I kinda did not mind it. I would have preferred less of a time gap and frankly a herione that moved on with her life. All that being said I won’t be reading the next book after reading where the author plans on taking it.
Jeepers. For fiction… do you need to hate on your heroines. Abort reading mission unless you want to read about a piece of shit man and an equally stupid pathetic woman who never moves on in life. Why not just write about the OW and give her the happy ending …that would have given me some hope the author doesn’t hate women. Nope author kills ow off. 🤮
You must know that this is a duet, and the second book, I think, will be divided into two parts as the first one is already released.
Phew. What is going on here? I honestly didn't think I would finish this book but here I am - MC x Italian Mafia.
I give it two-point five stars because honestly, the H, Talon, was just ugh the whole book, I can't understand how he is the Pres, but then I see his brothers, and well.
And the h, Gabriella, she was a badass until she was not. I loved the beginning of the story, the prologue was the best and it's what made me read this book, but as the story goes on and secrets are unfolding, I couldn't stop feeling disappointed. Why she kept helping the Hero's MC is beyond me.
The things Talon did to Gabriella were disgusting and he shouldn't get redemption.
✔️Talon started dating Gabriella because of a bet. ✔️He got blowjobs from the club girls while with Gabriella. ✔️He cheated on Gabriella with a club girl (you can read the whole scene in the prologue, but if you want details - Gabriella walks in when they were at it, they didn't stop and he even kisses the club girl when they finish) ✔️He got the club girl pregnant, I am not sure if it's from that time as he kept having sex with her even after Gabrielle left. ✔️He made the club girl his ol' lady. ✔️When Gabriella caught him cheating, she was going to tell him she was pregnant. ✔️Gabriella still tried to tell him after she left him but he never responded to her calls or messages. ✔️The club girl was a snake af and even called Gabrielle to tell her she was pregnant and even sent her a family picture. ✔️Talon, when he discovered that Gabriella comes from a powerful Italian mafia, basically the MC works for them, he treated like shet and accused her of keeping their children away from him (the ironyyy) ✔️Talon stays married to the club girl for seventeen years and never cheated on her. ✔️Gabriella knew all of this but still helped his MC club from afar, and when they see each other she still helped him even though he called her names and beyond. ✔️Not much is said about Gabriella's love life but we'll meet the second Hero, in the next book. Because this story is MFM. mehhh.
I did appreciate that there was a BIPOC FMC. That's pretty much where the good ended. Hang on tight, it's gonna get ranty.
In the prologue, the FMC walks in on the MMC with OW. When he's caught, he just keeps going in front of the FMC until he finishes. Then gets upset that the FMC packs up and leaves. She's 17 and he's, I think, 20 and the head of a Motorcycle Club. THEN you hear he was with multiple OW but it was just oral, so no big deal. ::insert eyeroll::
I HATE cheating, but then again, I knew before I started it, so I was prepared. That's not even the worst of the book.
She returns 17 years later with their FOUR children, and the MMC and his brothers are furious she didn't tell him. Even though she tried multiple times. The brother calls her a whore repeatedly and he slams her against the wall by her throat. The MMC screams at her like it's all her fault he missed 17 years with his kids. EVEN THOUGH he knocked up the OW from the prologue and lives a nice, happy life with her and his daughter.
Come to find out shitty OW has been dismantling his club from within for 17 YEARS! He never knew. I guess she was just that good in bed. I mean, sometimes he says he loves her. Then sometimes he says she knows he'll never love her. He has to be the worst MC President in the history of MCs.
The plot is kinda stupid. All of their kids are geniuses who graduated early, and you find out she's some sort of mafia princess who's been protecting his club in the background for years, even after he did what he did to her. The kids are also assassins because, why not? He finally gets his head out of his ass once he finds out his old lady has been deceiving him and is all in on Gabby. He says that doesn't make her his second choice, but you know what. It kinda does.
I loved someone...I loved you, always have and always will.
No. Just no.
I don't know why I kept reading this. Maybe, just maybe, because I was hoping they wouldn't get together. I mean, how can you still want to be with him after everything he did?
The book needed another few passes from an editor because, yikes, I sometimes had to reread passages to understand what she meant.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Secret sinner is the first book in the ‘’lucifers saints MC Sacramento chapter’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. Secret sinner is the first book that I have read of Tonya Ink’s. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Talon and Gabriella were together from the age of fifteen to the age of seventeen. When Talon broke cheated, Gabriella walked away, taking her secrets with her. Seventeen years later Gabriella is back. As the daughter to the late mafia don and the sister of the new don she is second in command. Because of that, they are forced to meet again and work together. Talon is angry at Gabriella and the situation. The chemistry between Talon and Gabriella is clear to see and I liked them together. That being said, I hated the way Talon treated Gabriella. He never deserved her. I understood his anger when she returned but it wasn’t deserved. Gabriella tried to tell him over and over again. I loved how protective Gabriella’s children were. I loved how she raised the to take no sh*t. I hated Heather from the prologue. I knew she was up to something! I wasn’t a fan of Luna and how she reacted. I loved that Brick accepted Gabriella and the kids. I liked the ending and the storyline for this book! The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I look forward to more books from this series.
Okay, I was torn between three and four, but since I couldn’t choose 3.5, I went with four.
The story was clever and very different. For me it had a very early Kristen Ashley vibe. There’s heartbreak, violence, betrayal, family drama, and a bunch of off the chart surprises.
I love the mafia/ biker theme, which hits two of my reading sweet spots.
I also give the author mad props for not holding back plot wise. The book is kind of balls to the walls.
The parts that made it a three for me was that I wanted to get to know the kids a little better. And the conflict between the protagonists wasn’t something that could be overcome easily, but I wished they’d not talked about as much.
There were a few editing issues that temporarily pulled me out of the story, but not enough to put the book down.
I highly recommend this new to me author, and encourage you to dive into the Secret Sinners world. I can’t wait for the next book.
The female character was a awesome warrior throughout the book. She handled every issue, and event that occurred . A true boss, but emotional she was weak. She was an alpha female who was cheated on at age 17 and let that stunt her life. She had her family and became boss b*tch. But male character lived his life getting his( if you know what I mean). But she waited 18 years without emotional attachment or even just a F-boy to possibly end with with the cheater(He may have change but, no justice, she get no revenge or peace of mind, heart or peace). Disappointing because in the end she was a woman was wronged, who suffered, but went back to the man in the end. I think this author is great end the book except for the ending. Maybe it can be saved in part 2 or later
I mean I kinda expected that there would be soap opera level drama but I didn't expect so much monologuing (is that a word? 😅). I skipped some parts because they talk so much and details get kinda repetitive.
Also, I know I shouldn't talk because I also make grammatical mistakes but it bothered me a little how many incomplete sentences there are when the thought is obviously continued in the next one.
Anyway, this was still a pretty good read, one will just have to suspend belief before reading and be ready for looooong talks and info dumping on characters. With that said, I'm still interested enough to read the 2nd book because I wanna know how long the h will hold out. And I also wanna see Talon see her with Constantine(?). And of course I wanna see Talon prove that she's not second best because I read a lot of talking not much doing yet.
Speaking of which, I really hate that H was faithful to the ol' lady and not to h. I know he said that he was faithful because of what happened with h but it still bothered me a lot. Also, it kinda confused me that the 'traitor' was smart enough to evade suspicion for 16(?) years but is portrayed as dumb. How were they able to manipulate people for that long if they were that dumb? Doesn't really bode well for the MC members' own intelligence. I know Talon did think that but ugh, still bothered me.
First this is not my usual genre of reading. With that being said the author has created a compelling list of characters that drew me in and I fell in love with from the first page. Who doesn’t love a badass women. I love how this story is told from multiple perspectives of all the key players, allowing myself to get a feel for each character. This story has lots of twists and turns I didn’t see coming and left me wanting more. I’m excited to see what’s in store for Gabriella and Talon and where they go from here. Definitely looking forward to the next installment.
I absolutely love this book!!! I am a huge fan of TV shows like SOA, Mayans MC and The Sopranos so this book was right up my alley. The world of organized crime is fascinating and this book really has compelling characters and weaves an interesting story leaving the reader eager to learn what’s going to happen next. I found Gabriella to be a particularly interesting and strong character and despite the world these characters are in the nuances of human relationships is captured in a manner that is relatable and real. This is a truly fun read and I highly recommend it.
I was excited to read a book (that contained cheating)that had a strong h in it. The cheating part was accurate, the strong h? Eeeh, not so much. ✅Does she kick butt and take names regarding her job? Yes. ✅Does she have BBS? Yes. ✅Does she let the hero waltz into her life after he married, impregnated twice, and loved 17 years with the woman he cheated on with? Yes ✅ Does the hero all of a sudden want the h and her kids now that it’s come to light the his WIFE and OLD LADY betrayed him and the club? Also Yes.
I really loved this book. So many roller coasters that you had to stop and think about what was going on which made the story even better. I can’t wait for book 2. To find out how Talon fix his relationship with all his kids. Plus to find out will Axle have a better relationship with his kids and Gabby. Now who was Gabby talking about and who was the phone call from? Glad to see Bellamy and Blaze in the story. Would love for Talon to find out who they really are and there back story. Hope the second book comes out soon.
This is a new author for me. I was excited to read this, but a lot disappointed in this book! The main characters, Talon and Gabby, just didn't click for me. Gabby was strong and dangerous.. I did like that. But Talon was clueless about everything. This book had a good, but sometimes confusing, storyline. Absolutely no heat and a truck load of typos and misplaced words, which was confusing at times. I hope the next book in the series is much better!!
I did enjoy the ride that began with my crack;on page ,caught in the act cheating H scenario! One item irritated me throughout and it happens to be the origin\crux of the tale. This kick ass.heroine and ultra capable queen mama who raised quartet of self sufficient equally kick ass loyal and loving hellion spawns, would simply not allow herself or her children to be put off and out of their father's lives...especially by the likes of Heather. My discomfort with the notion and related, required suspension of belief colored my enjoyment throughout. However as stated I was on board ,ultimately enjoying the character led journey! But... have yet to decide if I will continue on the book too...
