Wasn’t For Me
Phlox was just a little too rough around the edges for me. She basically turned me off within the first few chapters of the book. Not every author is for everyone.

don’t like MFC
I don’t like the MFC, she so cringey as my youngest daughter always says. Or at least the way the author wrote her character is cringy. I can’t even really get into the book because of how over the top she is, sometimes for no reason at all. So she just so fine that every time she goes to see hades one of his henchmen can’t help but to fill her up? So out of thousands of women they wanna keep losing their lives over ONE because she just so fine? Please make it make sense. Then she just so strong she steady beating them up 🙄🙄. Why is a man that is on his was to becoming a don surrounded by bodyguards that can’t protect him? Oh yea I forgot she got a black belt in karate all of a sudden like really? Come on. These are supposedly trained bodyguards to protect a DON although I know they make mistakes too but after seeing you comrade get unalived for touching her butt why would you then do something just as dumb. Who he got protecting him his cousins? I really don’t like when authors over exaggerate to try and prove a point, like okay we get it she’s just so beautiful and thick, but having trained professionals be unalived for something so goofy is just unbelievable. I stopped reading after the second time she karate beat up the second BG. I just can’t.

No stone was left unturned. This story was exceptionally good capturing my attention from the prologue. Thrown into the business at such an early age. Phox had no choice but to become the BOSS! Phox Bello is definitely my alter ego, but you paired her with the right man to help channel that anger and move to his beat. Hades Metellus just screams BOSS aka BOOK BAE 3000! This storyline has so many different moving parts definitely one of a kind. Each character played a role and played it well Felix is that grandfather that gets under everyone’s skin but Shadow was a dayum fool to keep him on his toes. Sex, Love, Lies, and Betrayal leaves you in suspense. I can’t wait to see what happens next! What a way to start 2024 Kendra Necole!!!

Kendra Nicole. Wow!! When I tell you this cliffhanger oh my lawd! Now, let's talk about this arrangement. I love Hades, he is such a mans man. He also has a soft place in his heart. Watching him come into his crown gave me such a good feeling.
Phox, oh Phox, what a woman, strong on her square, handling her business in every area of her life. And overcoming a serious fear. This read right here is full of twists, turns that will leave you wanting more. I didn't even speak on Shadow and Reese, the two best supporting players I've had the pleasure of meeting. Kendra this book had me hooked from the beginning to the very end. I love me some Hades and Phox they are most definitely a powerful couple. I see that Shadow finally worn Reese down I believe they will make a great couple as well. That grandfather gots to go. Now for that cliffhanger you were so wrong but I can’t wait for part two. Rafael just woke up a sleeping beast. So he better get ready because the Metellus is coming for him and everyone he loves. Keep up the awesome work ❤️.

I love a book full of secrets
Ain’t nothing like being a boss and your man a boss too. Phox spent too much time being guarded and I understand why because she was still in love with her ex who died of cancer. When she finally let her guard down and gave Hades a try I felt like they were a perfect match. When I say the drama and secrets will have you on edge. This is a new to me author but I’m ready for book 2.

For Better or Blood by Kendra Necole had me in a chock hold all weekend. The drama, the secret , lies, and blood shed is mouth wide opened screaming type of stuff. And I enjoyed every minute. Now Hades can definitely get it. Phox is that chick. I loved her and Resse relationship. Shadow is a whole fool. Lawd them daddy's. Y'all, this book is good only con is that it ends on cliffhanger 😔

This was good, started off a little slow but then it got to the action!! Its been a while since I read a book by Kendra Necole so I definitely had to check this out!! Phox and Hades is gonna be a force when they figure out what the granddaddy jealous a** done did!! I wanted them to push his chair down some stairs!! Ooh and when Shadow figure out the truth!! Part 2 me please!!

Okay, so I totally didn't expect that ending. Like, bruh, for real? Well damn. This story was very good and kept me invested the whole way through. I didn't need the vision of seeing gramps get topped off, but being that's the single thing that peeved me should tell you to go read this dang book. It was so so good. Hades showed Phox something for sure. He was everything she needed. Can't wait to dive into the next part.

3.5 stars. My first Kendra Necole and it was an overall good read. Phox needed the structure and discipline that Hades offers. He's basically smoothing out her rough edges and helping her thrive in her boss chick feminism. She was a lot to swallow and very annoying with her impulsive and stubborn behaviors but she does grow on you. It's not all her fault, she's the son her dad never had.

This storyline is very drama filled. There is so much mystery and betrayal. The characters are very well written. Their relationships between them all the way down to the housekeeper are filled with secrets and a lot of discoveries.

But listen this book kept my attention from beginning to end. $ex, lies, murder, and SECRETS (SMH) I can’t wait until it all comes out. The ending!!!! I can’t wait until part 2. Until then…. Yep I suggest you grab a copy.
