Shane Stadler is an experimental physicist. He has worked at numerous government research and defense laboratories, and is currently a professor of physics at a major research university. EXOSKELETON is his first novel.

Well. A Sort of DNF for me. I read every page until 67% but just couldn’t anymore. I skimmed through the rest. And I mean skimmed just looking for Wills name so I could read his story.
The Omnis, the Chinese, The Russians, The serial killers, The CP survivors, WillThompson, , the jittery man, the Israelis, McDougall and Denise, The CIA, the FBI, Syncorp, Red Falcon, Red Wraith,Nazis, nuclear subs, Adolf Hitler, Visible Ghosts, wandering souls, Extraterrestrial underwater advanced technology. I was waiting for Bigfoot or the vampire Lestat by the time I started skimming.

All I wanted when I finished book one was to see where Will took his extraordinary new abilities, instead there is a global insanity that really makes no sense at all.

It just gets better

The first book might be too much for some but you realize in this book what it was set in motion for. This book has some horror flavor but not the torture element. It is much more of a thriller. I would more confidently say this will probably be my favorite book series of all time. The marketing tag of "this book will leave a mark on your soul" has a lot of meanings now. It's true for the first one because I have never read a book that abrasive but now I just won't ever forget how dynamic this series is. It will stick with me for a long time.

Existential but thought provoking

Author does a masterful job of weaving all the timeliness and intersecting pieces so that bit by bit things are revealed and pieces fall into place and the story makes sense. It sucks you in and takes you along for the ride... excellent story!

This is a ripping good story

The story is a brilliantly woven story with genuine operations in the Antarctic in 1943 to 1946 with Operation Tabarin and again the very well documented operation with Admiral R.E. Byrd with operation Highjump 1947 brilliant stuff

Unique dark and engaging

This series is grim and disturbing, not for the faint of heart. The plot is unique in many aspects with well developed characters and non stop action. You will find yourself reading well past your bed time because you just can't put it down.

This series of four books if a wonderful 4 book series of action/science fiction book. I only wish it were more mainstream and had a greater readership. It had just the right mix of science and action. I loved it.

What a twist!

Who saw it coming? I certainly didn’t. It’s a Cold War spy novel wrapped in “The Day the World Stood Still” all written out on an Ouija board! Should Keanu Reeves play Will in the movie?
I guess I’ll just have to read the next book!
