Stephanie and her friends sign up for a three-month Super Adventure trip and are ready to brave anything. But when the five Flamingoes also come along -- with their usual mean pranks -- Stephanie gets more adventure than she bargained for.
It was alright, the description, voice, and word choice were great but not excellent. I recommend this book for ages 9-11. The plot twist was amazing, but the silly feud between the flamingoes was vague and was needed to be bought up more. The story characters were also extremely overdramatic, they accused each other and neither friend group was stable, not even Stephanie’s. The plot overall was good yet not excellent. I expected better from Kathy Clark. What made the book nice was Stephanie’s voice and how she expressed the love for her friends. The character’s names were also confusing since each character talked with the same style of dialogue so it was hard to differentiate between them. I also think that the counselor jumps to conclusions way too quickly, I know that’s what is expected, but an experienced counselor wouldn’t jump to conclusions that easily, unless there was more than one incident. The relationship between Stephanie, her friends, and the flamingos was hilarious. Stephanie’s relationships with her friends were either unrealistic or extremely unstable.
