Cowboy Rules

Rules are made to be broken. Cowboy rules are made to be shattered.

Although ex-con, Cash Wiley, loves working at the Rocking W, being around Shane Ackerman and Dub Walker is the favorite part of his job. He’d had the chance to be with the two men a few months earlier, but he’d blown it before it could happen. He’d ruined everything because he’d refused to have sex without strings attached.

Stupid didn’t begin to define how he’d felt the following day or every day afterward. Shane took his breath away and Dub was the kind of man Cash had always dreamed of having at his side. It was the rule that stood in his way.

How could he promise to not fall in love when he already had?

I have a hard time resisting m/m/m books, usually I don't even try to resist.
This one was ok, not memorable or great, but easy and angst free.
Dub and Shane are a couple but as Shane keeps saying, he's a slut ( not a fan of slut-shaming) and he's horny all the time so they occasionally take a third to their bed.
But Dub doesn't want to lose Shane, so he only wants men who don't want any kind of closeness or relationship with the couple.
Alas Cash is hard to resist.

*oh and it's always weird for me to see a cowboy story set in the US have British spelling like 'colour' and 'apologise' and poor Patches did change gender in this story.*

This is the second of the Buck Wild Series from Carol Lynne. The story line continues as the relationship dynamics begin to change between Dub and Shane. The two of them can't get enough of each other and their relationship had been an open one from the start with the possibility of bringing a third in if they both were attracted to this other man. The rules were set that they couldn't get emotionally involved with that person, that was only for the two of them. But the one they had their sights on turned their world upside down. Dub and Shane were in love with each other and then Cash, the new ranch hand, changed it all. If you love MM Sex and love you will love this. This is a short read, but it definitely will get you Hot and Ready!! Loved it!

Cowboy Rules is the second book in the Buck Wild series by Carol Lynne. This book is best enjoyed as part of the series but can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. This book continues Dub and Shane’s story that was started in book one, Cowboy Pride.

Cash Wiley has had a rough life. He is an ex-con working at the Rocking W ranch. Cash loves his job a lot but what he loves more is spending time with Shane and Dub. Cash regrets turning down both men, but Cash wants more than one night of sex. Cash is a loner who does not seem to open up to many people preferring his own company to others, so it hard to get him to open up.

Dub Walker is the owner of the Rocking W ranch. He and Shane Ackerman have been in a relationship for a few months. Their relationship is still new enough for both of them to still be figuring everything out especially there attraction to Cash. Neither Shane nor Dub contemplated a three-person relationship.

The chemistry between Dub, Shane, and Cash is blistering. It easy to see that while Dub and Shane love each other something is missing between them. Cash fills that void for both of them. All three get along very well in and out of bed. The sex scenes were scorching whether it was all three or just two.

I found this book very well written. I had a hard time putting this book down. The main characters and the secondary characters were very realistic and appealing. Overall, this was a great story. I will be on the lookout for the next book in the series.

I love anything cowboys and Carol Lynne is a master at hot, sexy cowboys. This story picks up after Cash had turned down the offer to join Shane and Dub in a threesome. He didn’t like Dub’s rule that it was no strings attached. He wanted more, especially from Shane. Shane Loves Dub and always has, but he can’t help how much he wants Cash. Dub loves Shane and is happy with him, but he has always needed more than one man and he is aware that Shane needs more than just him; however e has a fear that if he isn’t careful Shane will leave him for another man. So anyone that plays in their bed has to stick to the rule.

I liked this story but it is a pretty basic ménage story. This one did focus a lot on the lure of the three and wasn’t rushed into the ménage, I did like that. The actual sex was fairly hot. The emotional part was nice and deep and we did get all three men’s feelings. I did like that also.

If you like cowboys, ménage, horses, Barbecues, and hot man-sex this is for you!

For being a menace which I'm not particularly fond of, this was actually not bad. I truly liked all 3 main characters separately and even together. I knew that I would like Cash after the first book. I did get that feeling of feeling bad for one guy in the threesome, but it didn't last that long and I was able to enjoy the story.
