It’s hard to explain why I find this book so disappointing. Formatting probably has a lot to do with it. It seems to lack any kind of meaningful storytelling to connect different ideas together. It feels like somebody just threw up all over the pages with liturgical ideas, facts, and traditions. It is not complete enough nor well enough organized to be thought of as an encyclopedia. It is not friendly enough nor creative enough to be thought of as a great resource for family use. It’s just unimpressive.

Perhaps before they were better options out there it was OK? Now, however, with resources like The Catholic All Year Compendium, this is obsolete.
