About the author

Leana Lyn Doray is a trained educator, having obtained a double degree in Arts and Education at the University of Sydney. Serendipity led her to teach in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme in Singapore for four years, where she discovered her love for reading to young children and providing a holistic education above and beyond basic academia. BLEAGH! A Book about Values is Leana’s first book, borne from almost a decade of educating (and being educated by) curious young minds. Leana is Singaporean, and lives in Singapore with her husband. She enjoys travelling, cooking, trips to the library and the thrill of new experiences.

This book addresses two difficult issues that children will easily relate to - the desire to own a cute, furry little pet and bullying. Children are sometimes so carried away with the notion of having a loyal dog as their best friend that they don't understand the heavy burden of responsibility that accompanies it, and in this book, BLEAGH and BLEEP highlight the highs and lows of caring for a young puppy. BLEAGH and his friends also encounter an unpleasant schoolmate, and the book addresses this point tactfully. In short - a well-written and enjoyable read for children; an invaluable educational tool and entertaining bedtime story for parents.
