These were decent lists, but they really could have been improved. Pictures of book covers would have been helpful, and there were so many series where the author included every volume of a series on the list. It would have been more useful to choose one volume, and note that the others were also picks and leave room for more of the multitude of great children's literature out there.
This book is great for librarians and teachers picking books for children. The book should have had a good edit before publication as there were typos and errors through out the book. I would have also liked to have seen pictures of book covers throughout the book as it would have made it easier for me to remember and identify these books as I work in the library.
