I really wasn't a big Riley fan while reading Broken Ever After.

This novella changed that. He is just the loveliest of lovelies.

And it was great to read about parts we missed (the Court, Liv's accident and the aftermath, and of course Riley's motive for doing what he did) in Broken Ever After.

I'm so happy this was written.

MOAR PLEASE.

I loved Broken Ever After so I could not wait to get my hands on Breaking Her! With already having my theories about who Riley was and what he was up to being both confirmed, denied and corrected all in one book was astounding, flooring and thoroughly exciting!! Natalie Graham really knows how to keep you on your toes!

It is not often you get to experience this side of the story or from one of the male lead’s perspective, and I have to say it was a real eye opener and pleasurable, to say reading how Riley’s mind worked, how he ticked – making the temperature go up would be an understatement because Riley is a character I’d love to meet if he was a real hot flesh and blood man!!
I read Breaking her in around 5 hours straight without taking a break, it was well worth Not getting much sleep that night because no matter what I simply could Not put it down, I had to know more!

This series is really gripping and I hope there are plenty more to come because I can see a real depth in the main characters from both books – I can’t wait to read more!!

This book is Riley's POV. Even though it is book 0.5 it should be read after book 1 to ensure the reader gets the most from the stories.

I loved Broken Ever After, and couldn't wait to read this. Riley is such an important character in the first book, and one I both loved and hated in equal measures.

This book gives the reader an insight into Riley's side of the story, and will allow you a much deeper understanding of why he does what he does.

I have to say that my feelings towards Riley changed totally while reading Breaking Her. I had a vision of him as a character after reading Broken Ever After, but that was thrown away while reading this story, and went totally out of the window once I finished it.

The author has produced a story which enhances the enjoyment I got from reading book 1. It gave me a much better understanding of one of the main characters from that book, and changed my views of that character so much.

I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and I have my fingers and toes crossed that it will be out sooner rather than later!

I'm torn in two now after reading this book by Natalie.

I loved book 1, and thought Jamie and Olivia were great together, but now I sort of love Connor, yes his a bad boy maybe that's why? But is he really? His certainly sexy, cheeky and well endowed lol

This book runs along with book 1 time line but is from Connor Riley's point of view, I'm so glad we got his story it's a great read and I'm sure your going to love him even if you don't want too!

A note though read Broken Ever After first, Then you can torture yourself about falling for the so called bad guy too :).

I'm on tender books now waiting for book 2.

I was gifted a copy if this book for an honest review.

So glad Natalie wrote this book, as I hated Riley at the end of broken ever after .

This is Riley's story, it's not a retelling of the events in Broken ever after but more of an account of Riley's thoughts and feelings giving us the reasons why.

I really enjoyed this book its just long enough to gives us the background we need for the other books in the series, I have one huge problem now am I team Jamie or team Riley ?????

Can't wait for the next book in the series to see where this amazing story takes me !

My Opinion:

Riley was hired by his uncle Frank as the security guy for Austin and his niece Olivia.
Frank and his 'girlfriend' are the bad guys here - we already know that from reading Broken Ever After.

They want Riley to get close to Liv so that they can somehow get the codes for all her inherited bank accounts. They think they deserve the money more than her.

But when Riley finds out what they're really planning for Olivia it's almost too late.

He started falling for her the first time he saw her. This young girl - who was having an affair with her teacher.

But said teacher hurt Liv - mostly because Riley helped in causing those situations as part of his uncle's plan. But it was never his intention to hurt Olivia.....

Will there be a chance for Riley and Olivia? Or does she still want to be with the teacher-guy??

I'm not telling you that of course☺
I don't want to spoil your reading pleasure ☺ and - we don't really find out anything anyway...

description

...we all read Broken Ever After - so we know how it all ends - BUT it's not really ending yet - there will be more coming ☺

I ENJOYED THE BOOK A LOT

It was exciting, sexy, funny.......
It was soooo short though :(
But I was reallllly happy to read Riley's POV - we really needed to see what his motivation was behind this whole thing. It helped to understand him. He didn't appear all that nice in Broken Ever After....but now we love him - but we also loved Jamie in BEA :( so - who do we want Liv to end up with??? Can we have both??? YES PLEASE NATALIE!!! Let's make this a monogamous-ménage-relationship ☺

Everybody who read & loved Broken Ever After needs to read this novella!!!
There were so many questions left unanswered in BEA - and there still are - but this book really helps us to surive the time until we can get our hands on book #2 ☺

Please hurry up Natalie - I need to know what will happen!!

Rating: Top Shelf A tiny, intense glimpse at the logic behind "Broken Ever After"; from Riley's POV

Riley is back, the bastard, and he has answers for us. You need to read Broken Ever After before you read Breaking Her, and trust me, you need to read these books. Mystery, sex and romance all rolled up in a cluster fuck of "what the hell".

I hated, hated Riley when Broken ended. I couldn't believe the nerve of the guy. Our poor girl Oliva had been through so much and she didn't need him to crush her all over again. But he has his reasons.
Been there, done that and still wearing the fucking t-shirt to prove it, Princess.
Natalie Graham. Breaking Her (Kindle Locations 772-773).

Slowly, bit by bit, we learn that Connor Riley has his own reasons for his schizophrenic behavior with Olivia. He was supposed to protect her and maybe, we hoped, take her away from her crumbling reality. Unfortunately, he's being blackmailed.
Rose petal soft lips crashed into mine and all thoughts of putting Olivia down and walking away left me. All thoughts left me. I was completely blind to anything but the feel of her lips on mine.
Natalie Graham. Breaking Her (Kindle Locations 1052-1053).

Riley is completely torn by his personas; pretend to protect Olivia, manipulate her into trusting him, protect his family. No wonder the readers were left completely dumbstruck by his attitude in Broken.
Fuck it. I want her. I wanted her in every single way I could think of and there was no more denying that to myself.
Natalie Graham. Breaking Her (Kindle Locations 143-145).

Breaking Her is a novella and it was just the perfect tease for those of us that are waiting, not very patiently, to find out what happens to Olivia. I love these two books. They are a wonderful break when I need one. The creativity of the writing is captivating and plot twists are awesome . Please Natalie Graham, take care of our Olivia and get her back to us ASAP!

Thank you Natalie Graham for giving us such awesome books!

Breaking her is a companion novella written in Connor Riley’s point of view explaining his version of events during the fantastic Broken Ever After. You need to read Broken Ever After first but you will be itching to dive straight into this story as soon as you turn the last page!

I really, really, really needed this book after finishing BEA. To say I was gobsmacked at the turn of events during BEA is an understatement and this novella really helped to answer questions that were swirling around my stunned mind as I closed the book. My feelings surrounding Connor had given me whiplash with the way I loved then hated him and thankfully this novella helped me to see him a better light. He is completely caught up in something that he feels is beyond his control.

'How was it possible that she’d broken her way into my very soul in a matter of days? What the hell was that?'

Although Connor has a job to do, he finds that his attraction to Olivia is something that he just can’t fight. Olivia’s head is all over the place and I can see how she would succumb to her attraction to him and their sizzling sexual chemistry was very apparent.

'I was the darkness and she was the light that called to me. She was my one way ticket out of the dark side. My reason to be good. My reason to be better. I would do that for her.'

This is a hot, must read novella that you won’t be able to put down after BEA and has really set us up for the next book in the series. I can’t wait for Ever After #2. I hope we won’t have to wait too long; I’m desperate to know what happens next for Connor, Olivia and Jamie!!

I urge you to go one-click this series now if you enjoy a read that will keep you on your toes with twists and turns that will make you dizzy!

I received an ARC for an honest review.

I have been waiting for Natalie to give us more of Jamie, Olivia & Riley and she certainly didn't disappoint. "Breaking Her" is a novella from Natalie's debut novel "Broken Ever After" but told in Riley's point of view.

Connor Riley is a Personal Protection Officer to Olivia's Uncle Austin, however he has been assigned to protect Olivia from some threats she was receiving. At least this is what he has made everyone think he was there for. He actually had another job and that was to try and get something from Olivia that he thought belonged to someone else.

When I finished "Broken Ever After" I hated Riley, but after reading "Breaking Her", I have a totally different opinion about him. I love Riley. Yes, you heard me right.....I LOVE RILEY! I felt for him as he really cared for Olivia, but he had a job to do. He tried to fight his feelings for her, but it was very hard. He realized that he needed to stop his uncle from what he was doing, but he didn't know how without hurting someone.

Connor Riley is sexy and has a body you would drool over. He's also very sweet and romantic. I loved how Olivia and Connor were together. They were hot and playful. I knew something was going to happen and when it did, my heart sank and I was almost in tears.

It's really hard to believe that this is only Natalie's second book to come out of that wonderful, creative mind of hers. She knows how much I loved her first book and have bugged her for more and she really delivered. I'm sooooo looking forward to reading more. THANK YOU NATALIE for giving me the chance to read and review this awesome series. Love ya girl!

Riley's POV!

Holy hell!

UPDATE:

OMG!

I had a Love/Hate relationship with Riley in Broken Ever After, but this....it gets better!

I mean what he did to Olivia was fucked up, and we didn't know his motives of why....until now!

This was a short read for me, but I don't care, I got the chance to get inside Connor Riley's fricking head, and see what the HELLS going on in there.!

You've seriously effed up dude!

Let's see you get out of this one.......

Although what he's done is real, shitty, I just want to smother him with cuddles and tell him everything's going to be ok.

I can't wait to read book #2, how the story will pan out after all these events that have occurred.

What will happen to Olivia?

How far will Frank go?

Will Connor go back for her?

Will Matthews save the day?

I read part 1. so i jumped at buying this, and it didnt disappoint. This novella focuses more on Rileys POV and his side of the story, and why he does the things he does, this gives you a better understanding of him as a characters and links book 1 up better now we have his POV. This made me change my feelings towards Riley as a character after getting his side. The writer definitely had a great writing technique, and I am looking forward to the next book, and fingers crossed it will be just as great as the first 2.

I've been meaning to write this since I read BH, so apologies for the delay!

Throughout Broken Ever After I was definitely on team Jamie. I mean what's not to like? (Ian Harding comes to mind <3)

But since reading Breaking Her, I am now torn between Mr Matthews and Riley! And I cannot wait to see what happens in the sequel! Will Jamie be able to get Olivia back or has Riley stolen her heart?

Awesome novella by an awesome author!

Read Broken Ever After before you read this. Even though this is 0.5 it's to be read after book one.

I'm so glad the author wrote this book. I hated Riley by the time I'd finished book one so
I was really glad u got to read his side of the story.

This is not book two. It's Riley's point of view. Great story.

Loved, loved, loved this ❤️❤️❤️

I've been waiting for more Riley since I read Broken Ever After and Natalie Graham didn't disappoint.

It was short, but that is to be expected from a companion Novella, although it gave me just what I needed to answer some of the questions from Broken and giving me my fix if Connor Riley ❤️❤️

Absolutely loved it. Love, love, love Connor Rileys character. It was great to read the story from his perspective, remembering the story and all that happened in Broken Ever After. I just hope there is more of this story to come.

I have to start by saying that in order to fully appreciate this novella you need to read Broken Ever after first. This will give you an understanding of where the story is heading. Breaking her is from Riley's POV and answers so many questions that are left open from the first story.

I am not really a huge fan of novella's for me I feel they don't give me what I desire from a book however I have to say that because this is a novella from a book I had already fell in love with this made a huge difference to how much I enjoyed this story.

I began reading this story hating Riley and that was purely for what he does to Olivia but this book does change my perspective of him significantly. I still feel so much uncertainty for him as he is able to see what Olivia has already been through and experienced through out her life and he took part in "meddling" inflicting trauma to an already troubled young girl. This does make you have compassion for Riley though and changes your feelings towards him from reading the first book as it gives you a bigger understanding to him. This leads on nicely to Natalie's next instalment of the series and really do look forward to where this story will go from here.

Slightly better than book one. At least it lets you know how Riley actually tries to help Olivia but still skipped pages as most of it was repeated from book 1

It was good to get Riley's side of events and it did answer some of the questions from the first book.
