More Than Promises

Rate this book
As if broody billionaire, Rowan Kendrick, wasn't causing enough chaos in my small town, now he's on the hunt for a wife, and I just became his top candidate.

Here's the catch: I'll play fake fiancée to a rich, downright sexy CEO for a couple of months. We'll have a grand wedding in front of the entire town, and once the deed to his grandfather's estate is signed over to him, I'll get a clean divorce with no strings attached and the money I need to save my childhood home.

The problem is, once I move in with him, we can't keep our hands off each other. What begins as lust morphs into something greater than either of us had imagined. Because it's more than touches that ignite my body; it's the wedding planning, the lessons in confidence, and the subtle encouragements from a man who claims he doesn't have a heart.

As our wedding day approaches, I'm caught between wanting a future I wasn't meant to have and letting it go to protect my heart. Rowan always gets what he wants, but if I'm going to risk everything, I'll need more than a promise to make this marriage of convenience real.More Than Promises is Book One in the Magnolia Creek series. Each book will be an interconnected standalone featuring broody billionaires and small town charm.

Background:

Rowan's (32) estranged late grandfather left he and his brothers each a will to fulfill (the premise looks like the Dreamland billionaires series). The manor where their mom grew up was passed on to Rowan, but he would only get it if he got married within a year.

On his first day in this small town, he bumped into Molly (28) a florist and pianist who's struggling to upkeep the greenhouse of her late mom and their family home. She needed the money, and the business has been failing since her mom passed away.

It was very much insta-lust within these two, but they never acted on it until the 70% mark of the story. So despite the R-rated thoughts running through their heads, this is still very much at a slowburn pace.

Once Rowan learned about the conditions of the will, he propositioned Molly to be his fake wife for a year. But when they thought it would be easy, they were told that it has to be a real relationship, the engagement has to last at least two months, and that they need to attend seminars and marriage counseling.

Yet despite these conditions, they still went ahead with their plan, knowing what was at stake for both of them. They also thought that the mutual attraction would make their situation a bit easier since they wouldn't have to fake the chemistry between them.

So Molly moved in with Rowan in the manor, and with forced proximity and mutual attraction, I guess readers know how this would go.

============================

Anyhoo, why am I subjecting myself to these wishy washy fictional men when, irl, I wouldn't put up with any of this?

Rowan could go toe-to-toe with Rafael (from Love Unwritten) with his hot and cold behavior and push-and-pull stunts. One minute he's warm and playful; the next he's distant and emotionless. He'd be flirty for a moment, only for him to change his mood so quickly and act so nonchalant about Molly's presence.

Using his emotional baggage and issues as an excuse for the way he behaves got tiring and draining at some point in the book. He was insufferable for most of the first half, and the freaking whiplash he gave Molly made my head ache. 😫

But, tbf, with him, although it's a bit late, at least he finally had his 180 at the 70% mark, and he kind of made up for the remaining 30% of the story. My annoyance was somehow pacified by his efforts, and I think he still deserves a pat on the back.

Still, I have to say that I can't understand why women have to be understanding and accommodating all the time when it comes to these men. Why can't they be paired with someone who acts like their age and is mature enough to handle emotions, feelings, and relationships? It's exhausting to see Molly get taken for granted time and time again and to see her give Rowan multiple chances despite his half-ass apologies. 🤧

Look, I know that from the way I wrote my review, it looks like it was all bad, but that isn't the case at all. In the first 70%, there are still sweet moments that I honestly enjoyed. It's just that Rowan's constant shift in mood never fails to leave a bad taste, and it's quite a struggle for me to get past the negative feelings.

Anyway, I still enjoyed the last quarter of the book and how the plot unfolded. I was satisfied with how Rowan pulled all the stops to keep the manor and how he didn't give up on Molly when she thought she was doing the right thing for both of them. So... I would still consider this as an okay book (for me), it might or might not work for some, but to each their own as always. 🤷‍♀️

Book info:
- Small town romance
- Strangers to lovers
- Insta-lust (but slooowburn)
- Death of a loved one (past)
- Bullying
- Fake dating
- Found family
- Grumpy x Sunshine
- Billionaire romance
- Body image issue (Molly has a birthmark on her right face that covers part of her neck, arms, and back)
- No cheating, OPD
- No Vs (they both broke up with their exes months ago)
- Separation (1 week)

PS: I said I wouldn't read Lucas' book because he's a goddamn mess in this one. A 30-year-old grown ass man who's been constantly partying, having orgies, and getting into fights. But I love Piper; she's sassy and feisty, and I'm intrigued by her character. So now I'm 50-50 about reading their story. 🥲

This book is a fantastic summer read! I adore reading the fake-dating trope. It also has marriage of convenience. If you're looking for all the feel-goods with witty banter, then you need to add this book to your summer reading list.

Molly has been working at her family businesses since before she could remember in Magnolia Creek, TN. A couple of years after her mother passed away, she is really struggling to keep her mom's flower shop afloat.

Rowan always thought he was going to be a family man, until the tragic death of both of his parents. He decided that marriage to his job is safer than giving his heart away to a woman that would eventually leave this world. This plan is going great for him, until his grandfather writes into his Will that his grandson has to be married to meet the terms of the inheritance.

I would recommend this book to all fans of Christina Lauren and Emily Henry!

Don’t let this sweet cover fool you! Rowan has a filthy mouth and falls hard for Molly! Sigh, I loved this story! Rowan and Molly are so perfect for each other while working through their own grief and realizing their lives don’t have to be what they had resigned themselves to. They breathe live back into each other and the manor. I couldn’t put this book down, loved every minute of it!

OMG this book was so good! I adored Rowan and Molly’s banter, their chemistry was off the charts, and this book was just plain fun. This book is the very definition of sweet and spicy.

I was also captivated by how real and relatable this book was in terms of grief, dealing with self image, and letting down walls & opening yourself to others. I saw so much of myself in these characters and I loved watching their story unfold. I often found myself laughing out loud and I didn’t want it to end.

This was my first book by Loren Beeson and my first broody billionaire book, and they did not disappoint! I definitely look forward to reading more from Loren Beeson, and I’m so excited for future Kendrick brother books in the Magnolia Creek series!

Thank you Loren Beeson for the gifted copy of this delightful book.

Another absolute treat from my girl Sarah — thank you! I loved this, and I love discovering new authors as much as I love a billionaire romance in a small town!

I really enjoyed Loren’s writing style; the banter between Rowan and Molly was so good. They are such opposites but I really liked how she bought them together. They were so different on the outside but stripped back, they both had their own insecurities. They both allowed each other the space to feel vulnerable, grow together and bring out the best parts of themselves and each other. This book was filled with such tender moments, and I just loved the moment in the flower shop 🥹🥹

I really enjoyed this book and the wee glimpse into the chaos that is Lucas has me excited for this series!

More Than Promises is first book of Magnolia Creek series. Molly’s a small town sassy girl who owns a floral shop. Rowan’s a grumpy-growly billionaire who finds himself in Magnolia Creek after the death of a grandfather he never knew. After the will is read, Rowan finds himself propositioning marriage to the one girl in this small town he can’t stop thinking about. Lucky for him she needs his help. How these two opposites fall for each other is one beautiful fight for love. It’s a slow burn but oh so worth the wait. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Great job setting the ground of the characters in book one. My first book by this author and I’ll definitely be reading her books in the future.

What to expect:
Marriage of convenience
Inherited estate
Fake engagement
My wife vibes
Small town
Billionaire romance

More Than Promises 🥀
➖rating: 5/5 ⭐️’s
➖spice level: 2.5/5 🌶’s

Molly & Rowan are both still reeling over extraordinary losses. Their grief has convinced them that they need to live their lives a certain way, which is how Molly found herself struggling to keep her mother’s flower shop afloat, and Rowan found himself struggling to keep his brothers together & on the right path.

When Rowan is summoned to Magnolia Creek for a will reading, he learns that a grandfather he never knew has left him his estate (obvi on the condition that he marries first 😙) and now, desperate to learn more about the life his mother once had here, Rowan is on the hunt for a (temporary) wife.

✨Enter Molly✨

When she (literally) runs into Rowan, he couldn’t be more intrigued by the spitfire in overalls who was just shouting after a tow truck in the middle of the street. The more time these two spend together, the more they realize that maybe they’re not so different after all and maybe they’re just what the other one has needed ❤️‍🩹

some tropes you’ll find in MTP:
➖grumpy billionaire + small town girlie ☀️
➖fake(ish) engagement/marriage of convenience 💍💒
➖a “my wife” moment that will have you sweating!!! 🥵
➖a slow burn that’s v much worth the wait 🔥

Y’all I’m so obsessed with Molly & Rowan that I ordered the /stunning/ page overlays on Loren’s website before I even finished the book! 🫶🏻

Loren definitely has a gift for writing about the intricacies of grief and it was v healing to watch Rowan & Molly slowly allow themselves to be vulnerable + push each other to be who they /want/ to be instead of who they think they should be 🥺

I had the best time in Magnolia Creek & I can’t wait for the rest of the series! Running to order a paperback asap so I can re-read Molly & Rowan’s story in the meantime 🥹✨

I absolutely loved this. I couldn’t put this down. This is my first read by Loren Beeson and definitely won’t be my last. Thank you personally Loren for giving me this eARC. I am so grateful. When you said it was a billionaire / small town. I was already SOLD then I find out it was marriage of convenience. Yeah, it’s no brainer.

More than Promises is the first book in the Magnolia Creek Series, following Molly Hart & Rowan Kendrick. Magnolia Creek is a small town where Molly was born and raised. I loved Molly instantly, with her love of overalls and pockets. Like girl same I need all the pockets. It broke my heart that she has been bullied her whole life. Molly & her father have been struggling since they lost Molly’s mother a few years ago. Molly is trying to keep her mom’s flower shop open, but money is so tight. Molly’s father also might lose their house.

Rowan is a billionaire in town to settle an estate he has no interest in from his mother’s side of the family that he had no knowledge of, for him to hand over the estate to his cousin. He must get married before he can hand it off. So, when he meets Molly, he ends up finding more than he ever could have expected. The way he helped Molly be herself. I was instantly in love with him.

I loved this so much and so excited to see where this series goes. Also, Loren I NEED MORE LUCAS. If you love a small town, billionaire, and marriage of convenience, HIGHLY RECOMMEND ADDING TO YOUR TBR.

I absolutely loved this, I couldn’t decide if I should devour it or savour it because I never wanted it to end. How is this my first read by Loren? I’m mentally slapping myself, while adding all her books to my kindle to do a big ol’ binge asap.

This was an incredible start to a new series as Loren transports you to the small town of Magnolia Creek with the amazing way she sets the scene, giving us characters you’ll fall in love with, a fun and intense meet cute, seriously witty banter, sizzling chemistry and tension, along with a plot that will keep you consumed. It was all top tier and did not let up the entire time.

I loved Molly instantly, with her love of overalls and pockets, her black thumb, her hilarious inner dialogue, I found her so relatable and a complete breath of fresh air. She’s been bullied her whole life and my heart broke for her, but she’s a spitfire who is on a journey to loving herself and finding her way. Enter Rowan. This man was everything. The way he comforted, encouraged and protected her while building her up had me melting into a puddle.

Rowan is a billionaire in town to settle an estate he has no interest in, but ends up finding more than he ever could have expected. He may have been a broody man in a suit but there was more to him than meets the eye and I enjoyed his journey, while he discovered his family and found where he truly belonged.

When I finished this all I could think was 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙥𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙚. I am SO excited to see where this series goes and by the way Loren edged us for Lucas, I know we’re in for a wild ride and I am READY.

Listen y’all, this book has all my favorite tropes plus all the wicked witty banter.

2. Marriage of convenience
3. Billionaire in a small town
4. Inherited estate
5. Wins a night with her at an auction
6. No kissing rule
7. Beauty and the Beast vibes

This book was a 5⭐️ for me!

Molly was a girl after my own heart, it felt like she was a friend, like I knew her in real life. Rowan, Mercy! This man y’all, he’s got a filthy mouth with a heart of gold. I absolutely loved the development of their relationship. Rowan is book boyfriend goals!!

This book took me through all the emotions, I laughed, I cried my heart went out to Molly, I swooned, it was spicy (that piano scene!), I screamed and wanted to throw my phone across the room.

I was immediately intrigued when I first started seeing Loren posting about this book, because if you know me, you know I’m an absolute sucker for a marriage of convenience. Tie that with billionaire and some subtle br33ding, I’m the happiest gal in town 😉
I adored how Loren brought these two characters who seemed so different, and showed them the sides they yearned for. The courage, the vulnerability they lost through their hardships. Both of them learned to grow together, to bring out these parts in one another. Watching Molly learn to accept herself was so beautiful, and seeing Rowan finally show these harder feelings again made it that much more heart warming. And the spice, oh gosh. If you want a peek into that, make sure to check out the reels too🫠
Absolutely phenomenal job Loren, I enjoyed this so so much and I will not recover until I have Lucas 😍

Go check it out, it’s already ready to order!!🥰

Mama always said, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” And I’m so glad I listened to my mama. What I thought was just another cowboy romance. Was the small-town Beauty and the Beast retelling I never knew I needed. Rowan is a grumpy Seattle billionaire who just inherited his Grandfather’s estate. Simple? No, he must marry a woman to inherit the estate.
Upon arrival at Magnolia Creek, he meets Molly, an overall-wearing wallflower running her deceased mother’s floral shop. The chemistry between these two is instant!
Without giving too much detail, if you thought the “ my wife” trope was only reserved for Dark Romance, think again. Rowan
will have you drooling with his
“ my wife “ proclamations. 5/5 bring on
Book two! One Kendrick brother is not enough.

This is book one in the Magnolia Creek series, and it's a great start. I loved the town and the characters. Molly and Rowan have an arrangement, and it looks great on paper. He needs a wife, and she agrees. Could it be this simple? Can the flower shop owner tame the growly, grumpy billionaire who wants the deed to his grandfather's estate?

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

4.5⭐️ rounded up!

What a fun first book in this new series!

We have all the tropes to get you excited!
-opposites attract
-billionaire romance
-small town
-marriage of convenience
-fake engagement… but was it really?!?
-found family
-forced proximity

I loved Molly so much! She was such a fun character! She goes through so much growth in this book between healing her relationship with herself including her confidence and life’s passion, to her grief over her mother’s beloved flower shop. I loved how Rowan helped her accept herself and showed her how beautiful she truly was. He was always building her up and I love to see it!!

Her best friend Piper had some of the best cameos and I hope we see more of her in the future! Along with the butler Reginald, these two were my favorite! I can totally see how The Beauty & The Beast vibes were mentioned for this book. Reginald is for sure Lumiere!

Rowan was at the start this cold, brooding billionaire set out to rid himself of his grandfathers estate but slowly softened over the course of the book. I love how Molly helped him gain back his life goal of a wanting a family of his own and accept his inheritance.

The spice was spicing! The emotions were emotioning! It came together at the end to give us an adorable book people are bound to love!

While I wish Molly gave Wade a bit more hell for his years of torment, I love a woman who can take the high road. While some parts moved a bit too fast for me towards the end when I wanted more info, we can’t have a 500 pages romance book (we’re not Lucy Score over here haha!).

Great work Loren!!!🩷

More Than Promises has officially become one of my favorite books - ever! I found myself torn between wanting to binge this book and wanting to step away from it so I can enjoy it just a little bit longer.

Unfortunately, I was weak and couldn’t put it down. 💕

This book had me laughing, crying, and just completely falling in love with both Molly and Rowan. I related to Molly and loved her growth throughout the story along with Rowan’s.

I can’t wait for the next book in the series. 🫶🏻

WOW. Just wow! This book. Sometimes, and especially when I read contemporary romance, I find at least something - one thing - cringy. There’s not a MOMENT of cringe in this book. That’s high praise coming from me.

I’m a dark romance girlie through and through but I could NOT put this book down. I was supposed to go to bed hours ago yet here I am at 3AM writing a review instead.

The characters were actually believable people with heartbreaking backstories of grief and loss. The banter had me smiling and when the spice hit… whew! The way they gradually fell for each other felt so REAL. All their pieces aligned so perfectly together and the HEA made my heart so very happy.

If you love romance, absolutely check this one out!

Tropes to look forward to…

Beeson has come out with a new series and it is passionately combusting with the spice!

This is a story about a grumbly billionaire that inherits an estate in the Tennessee small town mountains, who meets the towns black thumb florist. Both main characters have painful pasts that come forward as both of them come to terms with one another in a one mansion trope. The question is can they pull this fake engagement off?

What I absolutely love about all of Loren’s stories besides the steamy romances, is how she brings forwards we as women would think is a “flaw” with the FMC and articulating a beautiful message received as the reader that we are beautiful just as we are, are the tones that establish something unique in the authors writing. I also enjoy how each MMC is distinctive and not repeated from previous books, which makes each new set of characters and stories fresh each time.

Can I say this is my new favorite series? Absolutely! I cannot wait for the next 3 installments of each brother in this series.

Ahhh this was so good and a great start to this series! A billionaire romance meets small town? Yes, please!

Molly is such sweet and kind character, I enjoyed so much meeting her! She hasn't had the easiest past, and honestly, some of the things she's been through made me genuinely angry. But she definitely rose above all that, focused on her life, on what makes her happy, on what makes her her, and learned to love herself.

Rowan is a billionaire who comes to Magnolia Creek for a will reading, and this is where he learns that a grandfather he never met left him his estate–on one important condition, of course. He has to marry first. 👀
And so his search for a temporary wife begins.

Molly and Rowan are amazing together.
Their meet-cute was fun and intense, and I had the best time with them! I adored their banter, their chemistry, them and them getting to know each other more closely. They couldn't be more different, but they complement each other so well.

This was a great start to a new series, and I cannot wait to read what Loren has prepared for us next!

Loren's last series was one of favourites, so I was so excited about this new small town series. Magnolia Creek Series is off to a great start and I am so excited for more.
This one was about rich CEO that has put away feelings and any thoughts of having a HEA, introducing Rowan. He and his brothers are left a legacy behind by the maternal grandfather that they never knew. Rowan was the first one chosen to check his part of the deal on the will.
He has no desire to stay in Magnolia Creek as they are successful billionaires in the city. He just wants to get the famous mansion and hand it over to another unknown member of his family, Sam.
Only problem he needs to get married before he can have the house and business shares.
This is where our beautiful Molly comes in. She is just as emotionally unavailable, from loss of her mother, bullying due to large birth marks and horrible ex. They meet accidentally and she is so unique and upfront Rowan was shocked and he loved riling her up. They have an intense moment and then go their own way.
A lot happens in between but all I will say Rowan is wow. The way he stands up for her, woo's her, and builds her up is absolutely amazing!!!
They have a deal for Fake marriage so she can have money to save her dads home and business.
She fights him and their chemistry and he is so casual about it, as he knows he will get her in the end. The way he claims her natural beauty, scar and all, again I'm swooning 😍. These two really built each other up and helped open their hearts and mind. It was so emotional yet good to see their characters developing.
This was a sweet and spicy small town romance. Although spice came quite later on so be prepared for the slow burn.
What happens when it doesn't feel so fake but they can't stay married or can they?
Loved that ending, getting us ready for book 2. I have a feeling Lucas will be a handful.

“And when I want something, I don’t stop until it’s mine.”

“Touch my wife again, and I’ll make sure you regret it.”

“If I’m going to watch you f*ck yourself, it’ll be with my ring on your finger.”

The relationship between Molly and Rowan is amazing! I absolutely loved their banter. I really connected with the struggles of self confidence, and appreciated how it was done and overcome. More than Promises is the first novel in the Magnolia Creek series, all about big city billionaires finding themselves in the small town they’re mother is from.

Rowan Kendrick, has always considered himself the protector of his brothers. After a family tragedy, he took on the role of caretaker and alongside his 3 brothers they built, Kendrick Enterprises, officially reaching the status of billionaires in just a few years. In a twist of fate, Rowan finds himself in the small town of Magnolia Creek where a long lost relative has left him and his brothers an inheritance. Though, Rowan wants nothing to do with the estate or what comes with it, in order to renounce his inheritance to a cousin, there are stipulations in the will that he must first adhere to.

Enter, Molly Hart. She is honestly the sweet girl next door, but she carries a lot of baggage and her insecurities about her unique birthmark have prevented her from becoming the woman she truly wants to be. When the big shot billionaire comes into town, he presents her with an opportunity that could turn her and her father’s misfortunes around. What she didn’t count on? Having to move into a massive manor and falling head over heels with the man that is slowly helping her find her voice and “claws”. 😜🫠

This was a steamy slow burn, but when that spice hit…oooof, let’s just say Rowan Kendrick makes for a top 10 book boyfriend. The filthiest of mouths. 🥵

More than Promises is such a heartwarming and feel good story. Loren’s writing captivates you in this world she has built around Magnolia Creek, and each character you are introduced to leaves with a piece of your heart. She is truly a genius at writing. I cannot wait to see what trouble she stirs with the rest of the brothers, as this is shaping up to be one amazing series.

@loren_beeson_books sure knows how to knock out a slow burn, billionaire romance!

I am so excited to visit Magnolia Creek again if this book is any indication as to how good this series will be. We start in MTP with Molly and Rowan and these two have chemistry that is off the charts. I think if I had one thing to say, I would’ve liked to see more of Rowan’s brothers, but I know we have them coming up in their own stories. And the more we did get of them the more intriguing they seemed.

Rowan is a grump. And while I adored the grumpiness, I enjoyed him so much more when he was the sweet gentleman we saw when he was with Molly. The more we peeled back those layers of his softness, the more I loved him! But that very first moment we got of them in the library archives room? Whew I certainly was waiting on the edge of my seat for more of THAT…and LB did not disappoint when we got that gift.

Molly is a little lost in life, although she wouldn’t admit to such. I loved her bravery and how she handled the boldness and insistence of Rowan pushing her out of her comfort zone. And for that, these two make the perfect couple. She breaks down his walls and he challenges her. And Molly’s growth through this entire story was beautiful to watch, like her mother’s flowers finally blooming out of the cold dirt.

This book breathed life into me just like how Rowan and Molly breathed life back into each other, and into the Radley Manor. I’m so glad LB wrote this book because it’s so special, and there’s so many underlying stories/themes that are not to be missed being overplayed by a beautiful love story. Which makes me even more excited for what we get next when we see Magnolia Creek again!

More Than Promises ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️

This beautiful story is the first in Loren Beeson’s new series Magnolia Creek. If you haven’t discovered Loren Beeson yet this is a fantastic book to start with!! She has created a beautiful world that you can’t help but fall in love with and want to visit often.

This book follows Rowan and Molly who are both in need of some help from each other. However will that help actually show them what both truly needs in life? Molly is this beautiful strong independent woman who is doing everything in her power to help keep her mom’s flower shop open. It’s not an easy feat when it isn’t exactly your passion. Which is more important family or your passion or can you have both? Molly loves her small town even though there are things that she would give anything to change.

Rowan is one of three brothers who ultimately find out about family they never knew existed. Will this family help to heal old wounds or just tear them open all over again? Rowan can’t wait to get back home he was not made for the small town and wants to get back to work as soon as possible. Will a deal to help Molly make Rowan realize maybe his dreams haven’t disappeared as he first believed? Can Rowan make Molly understand that she’s more amazing and beautiful than she ever believed? Is Rowan as terrible as his attitude makes him out to be? Will two people be able to heal their pasts together?

When I tell you this book has literally all the emotions and feels in these pages. I laughed, cried, screamed, wanted to throw my iPad, passionate, romantic and every other emotion there is. Loren truly knows how to grip your attention and heart with her words. I can’t wait for the rest of this series!!!

OMG! I absolutely LOVED Rowan and Molly’s whirlwind love story. It was sweet, adorable and incredibly emotional – and I could not get enough of it. These two had my heart in a chokehold and I found myself smiling and giggling over their incredible slow building relationship.

I instantly fell in love with Molly. She has such spunk and she’s definitely a little spitfire of a woman. Her determination and resiliency is commendable, but little by little it was wearing her down and burning her out.

Rowan comes off as this growly, grumpy, alpha-hole man, but as he slowly tears his walls down, we come to realize that he has a heart of gold underneath all that grump. All it takes is one feisty little woman for Rowan to realize exactly what his life has been missing all this time.

I loved the back-and-forth witty banter between Molly and Rowan. It had me giggling like crazy and smiling until my cheeks hurt. But underneath that was this slow building fire that was turning into a raging inferno with every little look, all the touches, and with every little flirty comment made. The chemistry between them was utterly palpable. And the way that Rowan builds Molly’s confidence up was absolutely beautiful.

And let me tell you this, Rowan has one hell of a filthy mouth on him, and I was so into it. That man had me aching all over and I just wanted more and more of it. It was sizzling HOT and SPICY!!

What an incredible journey to be taken on with Rowan and Molly. The emotions just poured off the pages and the characters had me captivated and extremely entertained. I loved it so much and look forward to the next broody brother’s story in this incredible new series.

More than promises
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So this book literally has ALL my favourite tropes, small town, billionaire, marriage of convenience and forced proximity! When I found out it had all of these I was literally SCREAMING with excitement! It also features a flower shop which I always find so wholesome and not to mention it was also duo POV which is always great😍

As always with Lorens books I knew I was going to love the characters, at first I found Rowan a bit emotionless but the more you get to know him and the reasons behind why he is the way he is then the more you just love him! Molly the fmc was also so insanely loveable from the minute you meet her, with how down to earth and independent she is after being bullied so badly and going through some awful stuff my heart just absolutely broke for her!

Rowan and Molly are just complete opposites but also so similar in so many ways. Rowan is totally cut off from his emotions whereas Molly feels every emotion so intensely but they’ve both been through such similar heartbreak and it just melted my heart to see them help eachother through their issues and for them to both become better versions of themselves after bonding over the loss and grief they’ve both experienced🥹💕

This story was just beautiful and honestly in my opinion it’s Lorens best one yet! I loved how we got to meet characters from future books in this series and I simply cannot wait for the next book!! No words can honestly explain how amazing this book🫶🏼

More Than Promises ( Magnolia Creek Series Book 1 ) 💜Small Town 🩵Billionaire 🩷Second Chance 🧡Fake Fiancé 💙Opposites attract. What a truly fantastic start to what I can already tell will be a new favorite series for me . Rowan and Molly oh how I absolutely adored them . Two people who could not be more opposite actually end up being just what each other needs . And it all starts with an unexpected meeting on the street and then turms into a steamy unforgettable night with each other . But that’s only the beginning of their journey because circumstances of which I’ll let you read about for yourself force them to enter into a fake engagement and become roommates ( and phew do sparks fly every single time they are together) angst , humor , witty banter , heartbreaking and heartfelt, trauma , love , passion, obstacles, healing , second chances, drama , friends and family , incredible world building, complex relationships, characters that are so likable, relatable, unique and multi layered you simply cannot stop yourself from falling in love . Loren has delivered a love story that is just so beautifully written and emotionally charged I can guarantee you will feel so many different emotions while reading . I know I did . I smiled, I laughed, I sobbed like a baby , I even found myself yelling outta pure frustration. What never wavered was how freaking hard I rooted from start to finish
