Against the odds, Andi is not only surviving in a world where flesh-eating undead hunt the living, but has managed to thrive. When she first went through the gates of the military base with Will, she thought it was their chance for a normal life. Well-- as normal as they could have during a zombie apocalypse. But life on the military base was nothing like she expected. Training takes every ounce of energy she has. With few friends and Will gone more than he's home, she's left to wonder: was staying the right decision? When Will doesn't return from a mission, Andi knows her only choice is to go look for him. Her chances of finding Will with a pulse are slim, but worse, she knows what she'll have to do if she finds him without one. But Andi has to try. She clings to the tiniest shred of hope, even though death and heartache await her on the journey What she finds in the end may destroy her idea of the future and force her to rethink everything.
L J lives on the Jersey Shore with her husband, four kids, two cats, and an inherited dog from hell (a.k.a. the sewer gremlin). Though writing has always been her first passion, she got a degree in psychological counseling and worked in the mental health field for awhile, which she finds very helpful in dealing with her crazy family. She is a lover of all different types of music and books, switching between genres so wildly it sometimes makes people wonder if she has multiple personalities. She is most likely to be found writing romance stories of all kinds (contemporary, erotic, new adult, young adult, fantasy, paranormal, etc.) . When she's not writing, she prefers to spend her time reading, taking photos, watching Doctor Who or Supernatural, or spending time with her family. I loved Save Me, but Find me is even better. LJ brings you into her world where zombies have killed off so many people. Things aren't always as they seem. In the safety of a compound there's too many weird things going on, but no one wants to listen to Andi. There are new characters, who I want more of, and all of the old favorites.
Andi is still a tough girl who is still figuring things out. Still, she's observant and she doesn't trust the base the wound up in. Will is still the same sweet guy, and I get why he wants to stay... but damn it boy, listen to your girl. I like Janet even better this time around. And who can forget Dan? He's still my fave.
New players to love were Jack and Hadley. I won't tell you too much other than Jack is an wizened old cynic. He's still pretty awesome for missing a leg. Hadley is a very intriguing character but it's better to read and find out why.
There are some twists and turns that are sure to keep you turning the pages. It's a great ride, and ends in a cliffhanger. Can't wait for more.
Once again I got sucked into Andi's world. I was warned there were going to be more zombie and guts beforehand. It made me Leary because I'm a wuss. However, this story is so good and moves at a fast pace. I was dying to see what happened next. Dan is my new book boyfriend. Can you say SWOON? I don't want to give any spoilers because I personally hate when reviews do that. But I will say is HOLY SHIT BATMAN I did NOT see that coming.. I am pretty upset I have to wait for the 3rd book. Can you say book hangover? This was a fantastic follow up to SAVE ME.
Since the last book left me interested in knowing more about the lives of these characters in the military complex, I had to read this one as well. I kinda knew the part of the plot where Will was obviously gonna go missing and Andi would have to go after him since that’s what the title implied, but it was still fun going through the many nuances the creative choices of this one had to offer which were pretty entertaining if you ask me, I actually enjoyed them better than in the first book. And I’d like to also point out that I’m partly reading this trilogy because I find L.J. Baker’s writing style quite inviting, and I find myself unable to stop reading one of her books once I start with them. TOXIC LOVE INTERESTS ALERT. There were not so subtle undertones of this issue, but I let them go because I understood the years these books were written (2013, 2014, 2015) weren’t the most progressive nor feminist in the world, right? So I let those moments go but here… damn, it was impossible to sustain towards the final quarter of the book when the “love triangle” was in its prime. They (Will and Dan) were both extremely toxic like alpha males fighting over the dominance of a she-wolf that definitely didn’t want to be there, to begin with. First we face the facts with Dan, that he was a dick with girls but somehow “Andi is different”… a dick is always a dick, and Andi understood that a bit. Then Will was a sexist idiot that couldn’t hide it any more behind the “I’m your first therefore eternal love interest” strand he parades himself as. I was like “Andi, sweetie run from those cavemen, stay with the pretty family that wanted to shelter you, run!”, and one can get why she’s not overreacting since all her experience with guys regards them and a former crush, also let’s remember the zombie strike happened when she was 14 or something, so her mother couldn’t have taught her much about sexism and toxic relationships, no she probably holds the ideal of “he protects me I must stay no matter how much it feels like I’m trapped”, I feel bad for her. I seriously would be scared to be left with those two. YOU HAD A SOLUTION BUT DECIDED NOT TO USE IT. When the good old man told us about the “cure” to stop the spread of the zombie virus once one of them bit you, I thought it would be relevant for a reason in this book, but right when Andi could have used that knowledge and at least, you know, try to help Janet and cut her hand like a logical person would do, she left her. The idea never crossed her mind! But let me bet that she’s obviously going to cut Will’s skin or arm because he was the one who was bitten, I’m not okay with that creative choice. GOOD WORLD-BUILDING. I pretty much enjoyed all the world-building we were given with all the new extra characters, the ones in the military complex and the sheltered ones outside. Those scenes were fun and easy-going, they were pretty rich I mean no character was boring nor plain. All of them were enjoyable to read and to imagine, I actually could see those dickheads with their pet zombie going after Janet and Andi. I was able to picture the little hut of Dan’s friends. And I sure enjoyed the fact they have now to eat innocent animals with a face to survive, like who the hell would have thought humanity would have to live of snakes? All those moments were pretty fascinating.

Ok so Andi was less annoying and this book flowed better than the first. I'm not sold on the love story....I always end up on the wrong side of these YA triangles. I mean come on Dan is pretty much perfect...but yea that cliffhanger was kind of epic and I do want to know what happens next. I think someone will end up losing a limb so we can get a HEA but a girl can always hope for a subverted expectation.
Hands down an excellent conclusion to the trilogy. So sad to say goodbye to these amazing characters and storyline. Wish there were more books to the series. This book had it all. Tugged at your heart strings for sure. Loved the way the story wrapped up
Ok, i know it may not be everyone beach but i did love Will versus dan, and i did love the way the story grow... I just couldnt help myself and i had to read more... Made me cry a couple of Times...
wow & wow. I cannot say enough about this book. It was such an amazing follow up to Save Me I literally couldn't put it down. this is one of those books that you ignore all the chores just to finish. Andi, is adjusting to life on the base, and we see her and relationships grow, new awesome characters are introduced. Baker has a way to suck you right in and make you fall in love with even the secondary characters. I don't think I've yelled, laughed, and cried (yes ugly crying) this much in a book ever!!! I about died when I realized it was the end and I would have to wait for the next!!!
I fell in love with save me it totally drew me in. However this one is just a filler novel for me. It fills in the blanks of what we didn't know in the previous book plus started a whole new storyline. Which got cut off before it got good. I am all for a cliffhanger when it is done right. The plot was weak and the characters seemed unorganized. In the beginning I felt like could we get to the point. It was slow and it drove me crazy.
I am hoping the next book is better because save me was wonderful.
I really enjoyed Save Me, but Find me was even better. Follow Andi as she searches for herself and the man she loves, and get ready because this cliffhanger will sting in the best way!! It's too hard not to give spoilers, so I'll quit while I'm ahead! If you enjoyed Save Me, definitely check Find Me out!
I've decided I love this series! It has enough romance to keep me interested and enough life threatening adventure to make it all work. I've already started the next one. I went through a whole zombie book phase about a year or so ago... I have no idea how I never noticed this series when I was searching! I would think it would pop up as similar to warm bodies at least!
I think Find Me was a definite read. I was lucky enough to be one of the winners from LJ'S character contest. What she did with "Jennifer" the zombie housekeeper was hilarious! As for Andi and Will, I am anxiously awaiting the next book to find out what will happen.
I have been waiting to read this series for what seems like forever.I started this series 3 days ago and now I am on book 3.yes this series is that good! The characters in this series are lovable and upsetting at the same time. Many of them die , that makes it all that much better!
